Animal Trackers Club Review - July 2020

Before we get started on the contents of this shipment, I wanted to highlight a few items that we received in our Introductory Box that we also used for this month.

Please note the following items did NOT come in this box:

Animal Trackers Lunchbox

We received this cute tin lunchbox featuring Bode Bear and the Animal Trackers logo which is perfect for storing all of our animal gear each month as we collect it. It will also double as a place to play with our animal magnets!

Animal Tracks Card Ring

This is our Animal Tracks card ring. Each month we will receive an animal photo and track card that we can add to this ring as we discover new animals.

Animal Coloring Card

This animal coloring card will be used to track which animals we've already explored and which are still to come!

Now let's see what we received this month!

We received this colored photograph of a gazelle with a picture of what its tracks look like on the back of our card. It is printed on thicker cardstock and has a hole at the top corner for us to easily add this to our Animal Tracks ring.

We marked off which animal we received on our coloring card and then added the gazelle card to our ring.

We received this fun gazelle magnet to add to our lunchbox.

He thinks it's so fun that they stick to his lunchbox!

Our toy this month is this cool and realistic sitting gazelle. This is an animal he doesn't have yet!

He loves collecting these figurines each month and I love the size of them! Not too small that they get lost, but small enough to fit in a toy bin!

Here is our cool gazelle mask.

These are always a fun addition to each box!

We received this thicker half sheet of paper full of facts about gazelles including their favorite foods and their strengths. The back features some longer sentences about the vultures while the front features color images and some quick facts that are fun to look at. It fits right inside our lunchbox for easy storage, too!

My son loves learning about new animals!

They always include some educational worksheets. This month we are focusing on numbers and counting. The first activity involved putting the correct number of pawprint stickers in each box while the second was counting and writing the number.

These activities were perfect for him using fine motor skills to place the stickers while also focusing on number recognition and counting skills! For an older child, they would be a good reinforcer!

This next sheet was fun, but a bit above his level, so my daughter completed it for us. She had to decode the various parts of the gazelle using the silly smiley face system! This was a great one for practicing writing and identifying letters.

Wikki Stix - Buy a large pack here for $7.30

Our activity this month involved some Wikki Stix which are a favorite toy of ours. These wax sticks bend and stick together for limitless open-ended fun!

I was a little disappointed at first to see a small packet of these sticks, but then I realized that they had created their own gazelle page printed just for this box. That was pretty cool!

He needed a little help from me, but he was impressed with the end result!

They also included this shape sheet for us to use with our Wikki Stix, too!

He enjoyed working on this one as well!

Verdict: I really like Animal Trackers Club now that we have been doing it for awhile! While this month's activity wasn't anything too involved, my son still really enjoyed it and the educational worksheets are always a nice way to get some learning in with our fun! He loves animals and collecting the figurines, magnets, masks, tracks, and fact cards each month is so fun for him. It's worth it for the $16.95 ($13.95 + $3.00 shipping) cost each month to have something simple to do with my son that doesn't involve a lot of planning but guarantees a great amount of engagement from him!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, although you would start with the introductory box!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Thank you so much for sharing your adorable children! I will be excited when a few of the kiddos in my life are old enough to send the gun subscription boxes. My niece is 11 and is quickly aging out of most of the “kid” boxes and my second cousin is only 16 months and too young for the fun ones. So I truly appreciate getting to see these boxes through the eyes of your kids.

Thanks so much for reading, Mellissa! I’m sure those younger kids will be ready for the fun boxes before you know it! haha. 🙂

I’d buy this in a heartbeat if I had a kid. I had a rough time at home and learning so I would go to great lengths to change that with my kid.. This is just awesome!

I like this and that cookie box. It’s important to do things together while learning a bit in the process.
