Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you'd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

Stitch Fix for Women May 2020 Review
This month, there was a little bit of a delay with my box this month, but Stitch Fix made sure to let me know right away that this was a possibility:
We noticed that you recently scheduled a Fix with us. We’re so excited to help you find something you love, however, we wanted to let you know that we are experiencing delays in our fulfillment center right now. We are working to get these delays reduced but unfortunately, your Fix will be arriving later than originally scheduled.
We truly appreciate your patience as we navigate this situation during these times and sincerely apologize for the delay. If receiving a Fix at a later date is not convenient for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at hello@stitchfix.com and we’d be happy to help you out. We look forward to being a part of your closet!
This is my invoice which provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items. My total came to $248.00, but with the 25% off (which they take off BEFORE deducting the $20!) and the $20 credit, my total drops down to $166.00. That’s a savings of $82.00 on these items. (Please note there is a personal credit on my account which is why the total is lower). Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid USPS envelope for you to send back any returns or exchanges which makes it so easy and hassle-free!
Your stylist will also include a style sheet with some tips on how to wear the pieces in your Fix. They even include ideas for accessories which I find incredibly helpful! There is also a note from my stylist, and it looks like I have a new one this month. It's always a bit of a risk when they switch your stylist on you. This month I asked for some high-waisted shorts, so let's see if she delivered!
Lorraine Short by Market & Spruce, Size 10 - Cost to Keep $54.00
These shorts are a nice bright blue color and they have 2% Lycra Spandex in them so they have just enough stretch, too. These aren't exactly what I had in mind for high-waisted shorts, but they do come up pretty high and they are really cute and comfortable. I am a bit worried about being able to find things to pair with them since they are a very unique color. I don't tend to wear a lot of white and that seems like the color these would look best with as you can see below.
Beru Lace Detail Blouse by Daniel Rainn, Size M - Cost to Keep $68.00
This top is so pretty! It has such a romantic look with the flowy white rayon and the lace details. I also think it looks great against the bright blue of the shorts, but this is a dry clean only shirt and a very nice, clean white color. I am a mom of three kids aged 5 and under, so, unfortunately, this top is just not one that fits into my lifestyle right now. While the fit was comfortable, I did feel like it hit my chest at an odd spot, too.
Mariana Drawstring Short by RD Style, Size L - Cost to Keep $44.00
This next pair of shorts is another pair that I would not consider high-waisted, but they do have a nice, stretchy elastic waistband with a tie that makes them super comfortable. I love that they have pockets and a nice rolled hem. They seem a bit more casual in style, but I think I can get away with wearing them with a nicer blouse, too, since the fabric is a thicker, quality knit. These are listed as dark green and even the paper tag attached to it lists them as dark green, but I am 99% sure these are just black. I have checked them out in every light and can't find a hint of green to them!
Ava Ruffle Tie Neck Top by MIX by 41 Hawthorn, Size M - Cost to Keep $38.00
This top, while it is white again, has enough color to it from the beautiful florals that I would feel comfortable wearing this one. This one is also machine washable, so that makes me a little more comfortable with it, too! I love the colors in this top and the ruffle tie and buttons at the neck are fun details. It's flowy, comfortable, and perfect for warmer weather. I think it looks nice paired with the drawstring shorts and I could see how it would have looked even better if they were actually dark green since it would bring out the green pops in the top.
Valette Cold Shoulder Blouse by Kaileigh, Size M - Cost to Keep $38.00
This top is the one that is probably not quite my style with the cold shoulder detail, but I was pleasantly surprised when I put it on! The deep purple is so pretty with the white flowers and this one is another flowy, comfortable top which is made from polyester with 2% spandex. I like how long the body is and I think the strappy details make it a fun top. I didn't think this one would look as nice paired with the black shorts so I opted for some denim shorts, but I'm thinking this top would work with some lighter colored shorts best!
The Verdict: This month I asked for some high-waisted shorts in my Fix and while only one of them seemed to fit that bill, I did really like both pairs. The tops were all beautiful and flowy, and everything seemed to fit very well this month, so even though they switched my stylist on me, I am still happy with what I received. I love the surprise of seeing what my stylist will send and of course, the convenience of having it delivered to my door to try on in the comfort of my own home is an especially nice perk these days!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this Fix if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!
Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $248.00. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all 5 items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $166.00. That’s a discount of around 33% for these items.
