Norlii Scandinavian Home & Lifestyle Box June 2020 Review

This month's Norlii is all about finding your happy hygge place and has sent items to really cozy up my home.

Some of the items came wrapped like little gifts in tissue paper and twine. Super cute!

Broste Copenhagen Glass Hurricane - Listed Value $49.00 (similar found here for $50.99)

When I saw the spoiler for this I didn't know what a hurricane was but I knew I wanted it. I especially love the cool grey frosted color of this piece. A light-colored bamboo handle is attached with metal hardware so that it can be carried inside to the outdoors or even hung from a secure hook if desired. The glass vessel stands almost 9 inches tall with a diameter of six inches at the bottom and an opening of 3.6 inches in diameter. I easily fit a chunky candle inside and lit it with a grill lighter. Alternately, I could use a faux candle to give off the same glow with no flame. This is such a classy way for me to up my hygge game.

Here's the hurricane, making the perfect soft light source on my porch on a warm summer evening.

Ib Laursen Velvet Vanity Bag - Listed Value $23.00

I immediately wanted to crawl inside of this 100% velvet pouch upon opening. I have never been so attracted to a toiletries bag before! It's soooo plush, soft, and dreamy! Even the soft taupe color is soothing- I just wish this was a sleeping bag that I could sleep inside of. Alas, I will have to live vicariously through my skincare and makeup who will be able to have that cozy feeling. Twelve inches wide at the top and eight inches tall, this vanity bag boasts a ton of room and can fit everything I'd need for a weekend away. Perhaps I'll just stuff it with something soft and use it as a pillow though? 😉

Altum by Ib Laursen Hand Cream in Marsh Herbs, 1.7 oz. - Listed Value $17.00

This hand cream comes in a classy metal tube with a simple paper label. Thick and incredibly moisturizing, this cream gives relief to chapped hands from all the handwashing I've been doing. The Marsh Herbs scent is subtle and almost hard to detect until I've coated my hands and give them a strong whiff. There is a slightly greasy feeling but after a few minutes, it's all absorbed by my skin and feels soft. It's also small enough to be carried in my purse for moisturizing on the go.

Altum by Ib Laursen Scent Sachets, 2 ct - Total Listed Value $5.00 ($2.50/each)

These both smell heavenly! I immediately put one of these in my closet, and the other in my sock drawer. Marsh Herbs is the same scent as the hand cream and has a woody sage smell to it. Amber is a little softer but in the same scent family as Marsh Herbs. My new favorite thing to do when I'm stressed is to put these sachets in the velvet pouch, stick my entire face into it and inhale. The scent is that good without giving me any fragrance headaches. Just dreamy!

Verdict: I simply adored this edition of Norlii. The total value for the hurricane, pouch, hand cream, and sachets is $95.99. Although that's only about $20 over the cost of the box, they're all items designed by Scandinavian brands that are tough to find in the States. I always like to consider that shipping for these items would be a hefty additional cost. At any rate, I enjoy how Norlii tapped into several senses in this box such as smell, touch, and sight. Together they create a calming setting that helps me relax.

Wondering when I’ll get my box. It’s been sitting in Chicago since May 11th.

Marne I would love to see the hurricane in a non-green background. You said it was grey, but it looks very green! Great box this month!

Oh thank God! I thought was going nuts. I thought it was another blue/gold dress moment. (Sorry to resurrect this post, just had to say thanks!)
