LiveGlam is a popular beauty subscription box company. You may have heard of their makeup brush subscription box, MorpheMe, or their liquid lipstick subscription box, KissMe. (Read all of our LiveGlam reviews here!) ShadowMe is a bi-monthly eyeshadow subscription.

ShadowMe subscribers will get a palette of 9 or 10 new eyeshadows every other month.

FYI: LiveGlam launched a feature that allows you to choose your first ShadowMe Collection when you sign up for a subscription! You’ll have the option to pick a different palette from the one that is available that month. The alternate palettes can be past collections, as well as exclusive custom shades.

This was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

LiveGlam ShadowMe "Whimsical Garden" Palette Review

Here is our info card! It looks like there is a garden/butterfly theme and the shades are warm creams, oranges, pinks, and browns.

This month's palette packaging is matte black with a convenient mirror inside.

The colors are really pretty. They are also exclusively matte formulas, which is really unusual for this subscription. Let's see how they work.

Top to bottom: Flutters, Fly High, Cocoon, Caterpillar, and Whimsy.

The rest from top to bottom: Blossom, Imagine, Metamorphosis, Soul, and Wing It.

I am actually so impressed with this palette. Mattes can be hard to get right and often lack pigment or are splotchy. The only one that seemed a little weak was Caterpillar, but with a brush, it worked just fine. ALL of these worked well with a brush actually! There was noticeable fallout, but nothing that would deter me from using this palette and of course, using your fingers is going to create a little less of that.

I really love this sort of palette for my general type of look. The shades are soft and natural, but can be built up for drama, too.

Here is the final look!

The Verdict: This ShadowMe palette might be one of my favorites from this subscription ever. I am really surprised that an all-matte palette had such a 'wow' factor and I don't think I have anything quite like this mix in my collection as a single palette. The pigment here was great, and they all had this soft blendability that makes them some of my new go-to's.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this palette if I sign up today?: Yes! Sign up by June 22nd to snag this one.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I love your final makeup look! It’s beautiful. Can you tell me what foundation you used in this picture? It is absolutely gorgeous. I am on a never ending hunt for the right foundation for me

Thanks Ashley! It is Smashbox Studio Skin 24 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation. The shade is 1.05. It wears really well on my skin, which isn’t the most even in terms of texture and pores! I topped it off with a healthy dose of Benefit Dandelion Twinkle highlighter (which has been a favorite of mine for years). Hope this helps! <3

I would love this subscription if it’s price point was a little better or if they added a eyeliner to match or a nice lipstick. Seems a little high for one pallet.

Since I started paying attention to this palette, it seems to lean warm. Maybe it should be called “Color Me Orange” Live Glam. At least there are a few cool tones in there, but not quite enough to make someone cool-toned subscribe. Oh well, to be profitable, it probably is hard to design a palette. I give them props for trying.

Hey H! I tend to lean pretty cool-neutral which helps with these sorts of colors but I totally get your sentiments. Most of the shades are wearable for me other than the truly orange or yellow! It would be nice to see a palette full of pretty cool shades from this subscription, especially an assortment of like pale blues and lavender. I would swoon!

If you want a couple nice cool palettes, I have thoroughly enjoyed Marc Jacobs’ Steeleto (sp?) palette and Kevyn Aucoin’s Nude Pop in cool tones. The last one, especially, is just a dream to wear if you like cool tones. There is one that I saw an Influencer use from Colour Pop, I think, but I know then of the palette is “Fame”. It is more reasonably priced than Kevyn Aucoin or Marc Jacobs. I own a lot of makeup, haha
