Gentleman’s Box June 2020 “Healthcare Professionals” Review

We also received an issue of the Gentleman’s Post which is basically a booklet that describes the theme for the month and highlights the items included in our box. This month’s box honors healthcare professionals.

This month they included a little card letting us know we can use Alexa/Google for our unboxing. I wasn’t able to get it to work, but maybe it’s because of the parental controls we have set up?

Ainsley & Troupe Tie – Listed Value $30.00

This tie is so nice! It has this great texture look to it and the blue is so vibrant and contrasts nicely with the red and white. The white actually comes across as gray thanks to the stitching which also gives it a nice shine. It also feels like a very patriotic tie as well!

Here it is on. It’s definitely bold!

Northern Sole Socks – Listed Value $15.00

These socks coordinate well with our tie with the gray background and the red and blue dots. I like that the toe is a bit darker than the red dots which helps to tone it down a little. My husband thought these were decent-looking socks. These soft socks are made from 80% cotton, 15% polyester, 3% spandex, and 2 % nylon.

Here they are on. My husband thought they were comfortable.

Ainsley & Troupe Pocket Square – Listed Value: $22.00

This pocket square has a fun pattern on it and while it is also red and blue like our tie, the shades are just a bit different. The red is just a bit deeper than the tie and the blue is actually more dull than the blue of the tie so I don’t think they complement each other that well. The pocket square almost comes off as a shiny iridescent purple with the dark red. We also received a 20% off coupon code for use on their site.

Here it is with his navy suit. I think it would pair nicely with my husband’s gray suit as well!

W.M. Marrison Watch – Listed Value $40.00

This next item is my husband’s favorite this month. This watch has a nice dark brown band with a simple white and silver face that complements it nicely. The back is stainless steel and it seems to be of decent quality, but only time will tell (see what I did there?).

He and I both thought it was really nice looking!

Trip Wipes in Citrus (2) – Buy a pack of 30 for $17.00

These alcohol-free, anti-bacterial wipes help clean and sanitize your hands on the go. They are a nice size (5.5 X 8.5 inches) to clean both the fronts and backs of your hands and have a light citrus scent. My hands felt a tad sticky afterward, but they smelled good and didn’t get dried out, which I appreciated!

St. John’s Fragrance Co. Vetiver Cologne – Buy a full size for $50.00

The last item is a sample of vetiver cologne. It has musky notes of sandalwood and vetiver with a sharp hint of cedar to it. While I thought the scent was nice, I have never seen my husband use cologne in the 12 years we’ve been together, so this one he will probably have to pass along, but I can imagine a healthcare professional might appreciate it to help them freshen up!

Verdict: This month’s Gentleman’s Box was full of items that should honor healthcare professionals! There were some nice, classic pieces along with a few things to help freshen them up after a long shift, and even a classy watch to help keep the time. Overall, it was a great mix and has a total listed value of $107.00 (not including the trip wipes and cologne sample!). That’s a great value for a $29.00 + free shipping box!
