You know why you were so underwhelmed? Bc the 111Skin from sub boxes is drastically different than the real deal from 111skin website. The ingredients were changed. I remember the serum that came in Ipsy plus last year, retailed for 200$, but one of the main active ingredients was missing. Turns out, that’s why it retails for so much is bc that one ingredient. So when that’s taken out, it’s worth significantly less. At this point, boxy (and ipsy as well) has done this too many times to count.

Happy I cancelled now since they haven’t shown any spoilers other than the choice for base box. You know that means it’s probably going to be a horrible box. But… I would have stuck around for that horrible box had they not sent me that zoeva palette in my june box… that was the deal breaker and the fact that the other items were old box items. Still can’t believe they are throwing a morphe into premium though… that is so stupidly not premium.

I would have been THRILLED with a pallette!!! All I got was thrown in left overs, a dried out kat von d brow pencil, and Saturday skin I’ve already got…I would have been excited for a pallette. Lol

And instill have not go my may 11th pop up and they will not respond on ANY platform to help me,

I was too late for the eyelash serum so I didn’t even choose. I see a lot of people questioning the 111 skin. I have been feeling the same. I’m not sure if anyone else sells the unwanted in your box but a few months back I got the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and I sold it on eBay. The buy then said it wasn’t authentic and wanted to return it which I accepted she had photos of her original from Sephora compared to mine from boxy and there was a difference. I then googled if anyone else had this problem and I guess several people have found things that are not authentic being sold from boxy sub boxes. OFRA and other companies have actually fought against ebay for letting. People sell there “Dupe” stuff. Now by no means do I know the sincerity of all of this but I have been very skeptical since then…..

Wow! Way harsh. Someone sure feels privileged.

Reply ButtonReply

KFab

Actually it does matter but you don’t. Go back to Twitter or you social media platform of choice. Keep trying to trigger people. How appropriate your name is Karen! LOL

Reply ButtonReply

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 OF COURSE it was Karen of all ppl! THE Karen!

KFab

Not harsh! Just a frustrated longtime customer not feeling valued. Frankly, I feel the same way. I can only imagine what’s in my box since I haven’t received it. So you need to chill with you assumptions.

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

For what we pay for the box, it doesn’t matter what is in it. The value is way over what you paid so I don’t understand how everybody can be so mad about it. Its like you have champagne taste but only have a beer budget and then want to blame someone else for that. haha
Same thing with the shipping times. You box is taking too long to get to you. You blame BoxyCharm. When clearly we are going through something around the world right now that is unprecedented, but you want your Boxy….NOW.

Boxy Premium choice is open

Open choice for premium already! I don’t understand why base chooses first

I totally agree😡

I chose the babe lash serum! I already use it and love it so I was glad to snag another one! Even if I get repeats every once in a while I dont care, they all do it. I get repeats from Ipsy too. More times than not, it’s a product I loved the last time I got it, so I get excited to receive it all over again! I love Boxycharm and Ipsy and cannot believe what we get every month in our boxes compared to how little we pay! So worth it!🥰❤keep up the great work Boxycharm!

KFab

Has anyone received an email saying their box has shipped?

Alice

Still waiting on pop ups! And box.

Reply ButtonReply

Vivian Phillips

I received my tracking info on Monday, June 8th. I’ve seen lots of girls who have already received theirs.

Reply ButtonReply

KFab

Thanks! Still haven’t received mine. I’ll probably get a crappy box. Lol

I didn’t see where to make my choice. Can somebody help me? I looked through my emails and on the website but couldn’t find a thing.

It’s on the main (home) page.
Or you can try typing boxycharm.com/choice

I have yet to be able to access my choice or Add-Ons. I reach out to Customer service and still i have YET to receive a response. So apparently i am no longer allowed as a base box subscriber to access add-ons or choice?!?! This was the ONE SUB BOX i was so excited about and it seems like more negative things happen the positive 🙁 So disappointing. And i wish they actually cared about their subscribers! If they did, Boxy charm would make a point to have TOP NOTCH communication!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Hannah

Choice opens at a later time for Base Box subscribers. I believe it should be today around 12 PM EST. This choice was the early access for Premium and Luxe.

Reply ButtonReply

Tika

Hey y’all, I’m almost positive I clicked submit button after my choice of babelash as a luxe waitlister. When I looked again today babelash is sold out but I can see others. Does this mean I didn’t actually complete my choice or does it mean I can change my mind still. Help!?! Tysmia!!

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica Rae Johnson

During my April box the same thing happened to me and so on my second attempt, I choose my second choice i wanted. When box arrived i received what i originally choose ( 1st choice)
So Whatever you selected for you choice originally is what you will get. But who knows lately with boxycharm their customer service and the way they treat the subscribers when it comes to issues we are having with a subscription WE PAY FOR MONTHLY, has DEFINITELY been POOR to say the least. Which is super disappointing. I really hope this poor communication is just due to the craziness happening around the world and in our country. I am trying to tell myself this the past couple months :/

MzBev

Always. ALWAYS screenshot your choice page. They are known to not send your choice item and deny that you even made a choice.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Your choice was probably received. They will send a confirmation email in a few days. You can still change your mind if you want – if you choose again before choice is over.

Tika

Thanks! 🙏

Kirstyn Levesque

I chose the vitamin c as I didn’t care for the 111 choice and the lash serum was gone but I had a terrible reaction to grande lash so I wouldn’t have chose that. Most things were gone at the add ons sale but at least I got the r & conditioner??

Reply ButtonReply

Monica

I was able to get my hands on two Farmacy items I really wanted as add on. Since I never seem to get the item I really want on my boxes. Chose the clean beauty whatever serum, I feel like every month gets worse and worse, and I’m scared to have the need to reach customer service because I’ve read some pretty bad experiences..

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

I picked the Babe Lash. Been curious to try but not curious enough to go buy it. I’ve found that when I pick a lower priced item, my overall box tends to be a bit better.

Reply ButtonReply

Kara

I have an email from 111Skin saying that they produce in random factories in random places depending upon their needs. You basically have to wait and get the item in your hands and check the ingredients against the one in retail stores to find out if you got the CHEAP formulation. Just like Iconic London Day to Slay palette and Farsali Glass Skin etc etc…

Reply ButtonReply

Hanelise

This seems a bit like sensationalism. Products being produced in different factories that they have on hand when they need to scale up does not mean that those products will have different ingredients or be made in a different way. It simply means that when needed, they have more factories for times when the scale is higher than normal. I’m not sure how the conclusion was jumped to that this means there will be different ingredients in an item. It just means the item might be produced in a different place than normal.

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

The conclusion was not jumped to. Some products received in BoxyCharm boxes that were produced in China have different ingredients than the same products you could purchase at Sephora or another online seller.

Maggie

I guess at least we know it isn’t expired goods? xD ugh either way.

Reply ButtonReply

coco

So the Iconic London Day to Slay palette was fake through Boxycharm?

Reply ButtonReply

Steph

The palettes aren’t fake. They were just manufactured in China by the brand. A lot of well known brands do this when there’s a higher demand because they can get more product produced faster. Tarte, Too Faced, and many others do it for their holiday collections and some of their regular items. It makes sense that companies being featured in Boxycharm will do this seeing how many items would be needed for the boxes. Plus it makes production costs cheaper.

Fake products would be complete knockoffs being produced by someone other than the brand trying to fool you into thinking it’s the real deal. Those items would be the ones to have the questionable ingredients and unregulated manufacturing.

Sarah

I thought just the storybook cosmetic pallet was fake??

Ash

WHAT! Seriously? That seems like a horrible way to do business..

Reply ButtonReply

Hannah

It actually makes sense. To scale up production, they have other factories that can help out. This doesn’t mean that you’re getting different ingredients or a cheaper product, just that they have a network of places to help when they have a higher demand. A huge amount of businesses do this, so that they aren’t always running at full scale when they don’t need to.

KFab

Blah! I wasn’t thrilled for the second time, first was May. I canceled premium and will probably cancel July.

Reply ButtonReply

Maggie

Tbh, I forgot it was choice today until I received an email about it. The lash thing was gone, but that’s okay because I didn’t care if I got it or not. I felt that way about the other 2 items as well. For the first time ever, I picked the choose for me option.
I might cancel both reg and premium next month just so I have more funds to throw at my dream horse awakening in black desert online <.< yeah I am a gamer girl. xD

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I’m lol. When I first read that…I thought you were finally going to get your horse…a real one! I’m a horse person!

Reply ButtonReply

Maggie

I love horses real and in game <3

GMforever

I wish they would disclose the country of manufacturing for the 111skin serum.
I chose the clean vitamin C as it has good reviews and I want to try it and I bought the 111skin in add on but I really fear that it is made in China for the price it is sold.

There’s a lot of things made in China that are high quality and sell for high prices. Maybe not a great practice, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t high quality.

I logged in as soon as I got the email and the lash serum was already all gone! As were many of the add-ons I wanted, darnit. I’m Boxy-Luxe level and usually have full choices available. Oh well. I’m glad I was able to snag some R&Co shampoo & conditioner in the sale at least! As for choice, I picked the 111 stuff. I’ve never been a big user of vitamin c stuff, so the skin defense sounds good to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Kat

Babelash serum also works very well on brows, for any concerned about putting something that close to your eyes.

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

Can’t believe that 111Skin item for $135 was in the add-ons right after choosing for like $18 or $24 or something like that….makes you wonder.

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

It was $12 in add one. Regularly $135. Makes me wonder… I read the description it protects against blue light pollution. I chose it because it’s so expensive and I’ve heard good things about that brand. Now I’m rethinking my choice.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

You can change your choice while the window is open.

KFab

Same here. Now I feel a little ripped off!

Jennifer

Anyone tried the lash serum? It has excellent reviews😊

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Yes! It is very effective! Highly recommend.

Reply ButtonReply

Natiesha

I’ve used the same tube of it for 5 months now and my lashes are AMAZING! This stuff is like a miracle for my lashes. I put my go-to Ardell 120s on the other day only to find my lashes were longer and they looked funny 😆 I resubscribed just for the lash serum and will probably cancel after July.

Reply ButtonReply

Christa H.

I chose Babe Lash since I am about out of my Grande Lash. 😊I passed on 111Skin since I have too much skincare😳

Reply ButtonReply

Natiesha

heads up, coupon code didn’t work for me. no 12$ credit for add ons

Reply ButtonReply

TNTriathlete

That stinks. Mine worked. I copied and pasted directly from the email to the checkout page and it worked fine. Have you contacted them?

Reply ButtonReply

Natiesha

I did send an email, no response yet, but after what @Dara posted, I dont have high hopes 🙁 I was subscribed awhile back and canceled because they kept sending me crazy colors I cant use and these over hyped skinscare that pretty much does nothing for sensitive and oily skin except break it out. I got sucked back in for the babelash only and will cancel after. I’m sorry your experience was so bad @Dara, mine hasn’t been much better. I moved to Ipsy only and am much happier. They vet their products a lot better it seems and when something is wrong, they make it right. They sent me an entirely wrong Ultimate bag and just replaced the whole thing, I was pretty happy!

Dara

Don’t waste your time. I resubscribed last month during choice when the site was screwing up and it didn’t take my code. Customer service was absolutely no help at all. Basically, a “sorry ‘bout your luck” attitude blaming me for not applying it correctly. Claimed they couldn’t do anything but “not to worry. We have new promos all the time!” Umm…this is for new subscribers and you took my money immediately. To get a new promo you’d have to lose my business first. But that’s the thing. They could care less. I replied and said I knew they could help if they wanted. They could put in an order for the product just like when an item arrived damaged. I said I resubscribed largely for the GWP since previously my experience wasn’t great and I was trying to give them another chance. Since obviously things weren’t going to be any better I asked them to just cancel my order and refund me. They refused. It’s crazy to me that they’re so greedy on the one hand but on the other don’t value customers at all, whether they’re new, resubbing or old timers. Once they get that intitial $25 you mean absolutely nothing to them. I’ve been a beauty box subscriber to many boxes for many years plus purchase tons of beauty products from other retailers and never have I ever dealt with customer service this abhorrent. Stay with them long enough and it will blow your mind. I was with them five years and tired of it but got suckered back in with the Shared Planet palettes being promoted. But after I was treated poorly when I rejoined in May I unsubscribed immediately. Later I saw where Joe announced “some Charmers” (read: the majority) would receive all those tired old Zoeva palettes so I felt even better about my decision.

A friend of mine that’s been with them longer finally got fed up and cancelled Premium but kept base and Luxe mainly for the Purlisse foundation spoiler because it’s one of the few foundations she can find to match her skin tone and it’s fairly pricey. So they took her $50 and then sent her an email letting her know the foundation they sent wouldn’t be the right color so they were giving her $12 for the next Pop Up sale. So…$12 for a useless $40+ product and they’ll still claim the box has a certain retail value that it no longer has. They could just send her the right color but that’s just too much work for a customer that’s stood by and taken all their BS for six or seven years.

Hallie Gottlieb

The value is pretty extreme on these. I wonder why? I went with the 111 item because I liked other items by them and well 135.00 beats 49.99 and whaTever the lash stuff is. I’m not putting an unknown near my eyes.

Reply ButtonReply

Kirsten

Personally, every 111 product I have ever tried has been very underwhelming. Their eye contour product was so sticky I had to wash it off and it left my undereyes irritated. I haven’t had any other negative experiences with their products, and the cryo cream isn’t bad (but by no means worth the crazy, inflated r.v. they give it. I hope you have better luck; maybe you and your skin will *love* it. If you do I sure hope you can always get the products from sub boxes because those advertised retail values are mighty steep.
I hope you love the rest of your box this month 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

Personally I find 111skin products to be overhyped and overpriced. I’ve tried two different serums (thankfully received in sub boxes) and don’t see much of a difference in my skin.

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

Sarah – that’s great that it works so well for you (except for the product being so spendy)! I also tried the booster (got it from Glam Bag Plus) and I *think* I noticed a slight difference but nothing major. I have plenty of other C serums/brightening products to rotate into my routine. the other was the rose gold drops, which I just kind of don’t see the point of.

Sarah

Wow, really? Their Vitamin C Booster makes my skin look amazing. Whenever I’m too poor to replace it for a while, there’s a very noticeable change in my skin.
