FYI: This subscription has ended as of April 2020.
Sephora curated several variations of their PLAY! boxes each month and matches you with the version that best fits the preferences you set in your profile. (You’ll fill out your profile when signing upβyou can also update your profile at any time). The variation IΒ received this month is the box ending in #933. To find out which box youβre receiving at the beginning of each month, follow these instructions:
If you log in through a browser, not the app, and go to my account > account details > online orders and open the play! Order Details, you can see the βitem numberβ next to the image.

I like a true red lip, and I also happen to really like this formula. It feels kind of like a matte but never really dries down, meaning it doesn’t dry my lips out either. The red shade is on the cooler end so it also makes my teeth look whiter.
As someone who likes cream shadow sticks, this was a great find inside my Play! box this month. It is a champagne/bronze shade in a bold metallic finish. The name ‘Magenta Metal’ is really confusing since there is really no pink color here to speak of, but I can forgive that. This is so easy to swipe on my lids and blend for a subtle metallic sheen. It also stays creamy and soft on my lids and lasts for hours.
This was a repeat sample for me, but a welcome one! I really like this shimmery moisturizer because it absorbs quickly and gives my bare skin a very healthy radiance. It is ideal for those days where I go makeup-free, which, honestly, is like 90% of my days recently. Just a tinted gloss and a swipe of mascara is enough to complete a carefree look, with this moisturizer to give my skin that radiance.
This is one of those products I have ALMOST bought at Sephora many, many times. They have so many tints though that I always ended up unable to make a final decision and just scrapping the buy altogether. This (very generously sized) sample was a perfect intro to the Fresh lippy line with its clear formula and minty fresh tingle. This made my lips feel so good! The mint is a softer sort of sweet mint rather than a peppermint, and my lips feel so soft and conditioned whenever I wear this.
I like this brand, and I like what this spray does to my hair. I like my hair a little on the messy side anyways, which suits my thicker locks just fine. This is a great 2nd or 3rd-day refresh because it adds volume and texture and does seem to suck up a little oil too.
I absolutely LOVE this perfume! It is weird and woodsy in the best way. The big notes here are patchouli, flowers, and cannabis. There is also a little burnt wood and smoke they make it feel really complex. It reminds me very much of another one of my faves, Fresh Cannabis Santal.
Verdict:Β This month’sΒ PLAY! by Sephora box has an estimated value of around $61.25 which is great for a box that costs $10.00. I wish all of the Play! boxes were like this one. The sample sizes were great and from brands I already love! With only one Play! box left after this one, it will be interesting to see what they choose to exit with.Β
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if youΒ sign upΒ today? No, this box is now canceled.Β
Value Breakdown: At $10 for this box, each of the 6 samples has an average cost of $1.67.
I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
Music Festival is one of my all time favorite scents! Your description is excellent. I was going to buy the full size during the Sephora sale, but it’s completely disappeared from the website and the travel size is sold out! I was so sad…hope it’s not getting discontinued.
I was wondering about that too. Maybe everyone just bought it since they will miss actual music festivals this year?? Hope it makes a return. I will be buying.
I’ll admit, Sephora was one of those boxes that I wanted to love more but now totally miss it now that it’s gone. π

Great box! I bought 4 of this variety when they went on sale on the sephora website!!! Awesome value!
I don’t see this on site; are they still available? Thanks!
It looks like the past Sephora Play! boxes are no longer available π
