Nourish Beauty Box May 2020 Review

As it does each month, Nourish Beauty Box came with a single info card that has a quick overview of the box on one side, and more detailed information about the four products included this month on the other.

Nourish Naturals Tinted Lip Serum in Full Circle, 4 mL - Retail Value $16.00

"Full Circle" is a baby pink hue that is barely noticeable while hydrating my lips with this serum. Once applied, it gives my pout a nice soft sheen without feeling sticky and it smells sweet too! This chubby tube is too cute and I like that it's the same size as a cream lipstick instead of a long slender tube like most liquid lip products. The formula is packed with good stuff like jojoba, sunflower, and safflower oils as well as shea butter. The longer I wear this, the more I like it!

Peony Cosmetics Pink Glow Luminizing Stick - Retail Value $22.00

This stick contains a pink luminous hue that is super subtle with one swipe so it's good for those who just want a little glow. It can be built upon as well and gets more noticeable with each swipe, but still doesn't deliver a big "wow" factor like more mainstream cult highlighter faves. It is really creamy and glides on with little effort and doesn't have any scent. If you're looking for a low-key glow, this is the way to go.

Here are swatched of the highlighter (top) and lip serum (bottom).

Purequosa Pits & Privates in Grapefruit + Orange, 3 oz. - Retail Value $14.97

The name of this isn't sugar-coating its uses at all, is it? I happen to cite grapefruit as a favorite fruity scent which joins orange for this deodorizing spray. The pump delivers a fine mist to anywhere needed, like my armpits or, ahem, more delicate areas that tend to perspire. The scent here is not very strong, but it's pleasant and refreshing. The first ingredient is colloidal silver, a water solution containing small particles (ions and nanoparticles) of silver and is commonly used in natural deodorants due to its anti-bacterial properties. Along with witch hazel and aloe to calm skin, this spray begs to be tossed into a gym bag to use as a refresher after a workout.

Klei Beauty Nourish Pink Clay Mask, 1 oz. - Retail Value $14.00

I'm always pleased to see a clay mask arrive and although this jar is small, it will give me a plethora of masks. Using rose and white clay mixed with coconut milk powder and chamomile powder, this formula is all-natural and has a fine, soft feel to it. Once mixed slowly with a very small amount of water at a time, I mix to create a paste that I can easily apply onto my face with a brush (fingers work too). The beautiful mauve color slowly dries to an almost white and will begin to flake off. This is when it's time to use a damp cloth to remove. What remains is an oil-free face that feels fresh and soft!

Verdict: The visual curation of this month's Nourish Beauty Box is very pleasing with its pinks and golds. The lip serum is a clear winner for me as I love how it feels on my lips and doesn't overdo it in pigment. I'm always in for a new clay mask and the deodorant spray will surely come in handy especially this summer. The illuminating stick didn't give me the vibrant highlight I crave, but I don't think that that's what it's going for. May delivered four cruelty-free beauty items that I find delightful and have a retail value of $66.97, a fine showing for a $29.95 box.

It’s quite lovely all together! I feel like I haven’t heard as much about this box!

I subbed for a year and liked them. Introduced me to some of the most unique products that I’d never gotten from other boxes that became favorites. Only stopped due to product overload, and I will say they REALLY love the highlighters & luminizers in this box, a bit much for me. I’ll probably do another sub in the future, but I do like to speak well of them since I had such a good experience.
