Mini Motherhood Survival Mailer Spring 2020 Review

We received this card that tells us about our items this month along with a little note.

Home & Harvest Rose Gold Straws

Our first item is a set of rose gold straws that arrived in their own little pouch along with a brush to clean them with. These are nice straws that are eco-friendly and just a bit larger than traditional straws meaning they will be great for smoothies or protein shakes! While I like the rose gold color and feel that this is a useful item, it didn't really scream spring or feel like an item that "built me up" as a mom. It looks like these are unavailable right now so I was unable to confirm their retail value.

Seeds of Intention Cards by May You Know Joy  - Retail Value $12.88

This set of cards is about the size of a regular deck of cards but this set of 42 cards features short intentions for you to apply in your daily life. These range from forgiving yourself to expressing yourself to more simplistic ideas such as "today I go play." I'd love to be that mom who gets up early and has some time to myself before the kids wake up to take a moment and actually set some intentions for myself, but alas, I enjoy my sleep in the mornings, so these quick cards could prove useful for trying to focus my energy for the day with limited time!

Verdict: I used to really enjoy the mini boxes from Motherhood Survival and I love the idea of these little mailers, but this month's items were a bit lackluster for me. The straws are nice and will definitely get used and I like the idea behind the intention cards, but they didn't really seem to go together and with only two items, I'd have loved for them to feel a bit more cohesive. The total retail value of this mailer is supposed to be over $25 which means the straws would have to cost around $12, and that seems a bit high for a set of 2 straws, so I'm not quite sure the value is really there this quarter.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The Mini Mailer for this quarter is sold out but will be available for next quarter. From Motherhood Survival:

If you sign up before the 15th of any month your box will ship that month on the 20th. If you sign up after the 15th your box will ship the 20th of the following month.

ACTIVE DEAL: Save $5 off your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $15.00, including free shipping so with 2 items you are paying approximately $7.50 each.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I see the value in this sub of getting a fun little pick-me-up in the mail that isn’t a $50 quarterly box, but I don’t know if these items are worth that retail value. If they were a bit more fun or exciting as a treat, it might be a more effective box.
