Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson, which includes a plus size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.

Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

About Fabletics

The Subscription Box: Fabletics VIP Membership

The Cost: $49.95 a month. This price goes towards the cost of the outfits curated for you. The cost of outfits varies, but you’ll only be charged for what you choose to actually buy. If you want, you can choose to skip the month, and you won’t be charged. If you don’t spend your $49.95 nor choose to skip, Fabletics will charge you the $49.95 and just save it as store credit for you to use later.

The Products: High-quality, on-trend athletic clothing curated to fit your size, style, and needs. Think leggings, tops, shorts, and outerwear for yoga, running, and all kinds of other workouts.

Ships to: The contiguous United States for free when you spend $49.95 or more. $4.95 flat rate shipping if you spend less than that threshold. $9.00 to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO addresses. $5.95 VIP rate to Australia, or $9.95 otherwise.

Fabletics Plus Size March 2020 Review

Included with my Fabletics order was a standard, itemized statement. No coupons were included in this month's delivery.

Winn III Low Impact Sports Bra in Fluorescent Pink (Strike 2 Piece Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $49.95, VIP Price $39.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $129.90, VIP Price $63.95)

I usually steer clear of bright neon pink, but I have found myself gravitating towards more and more pink items during this quarantine. Go figure! I think I figured out the appeal of this top. It reminds me of an LA legend. Guys, doesn't it look like something the iconic Angelyne would wear while driving around Los Angeles in her matching pink Corvette? I really dropped the ball big time by not taking these pics with a blonde wig on and a fan in my hand. For that, I am so sorry!

This sports bra is unreal though, right? I usually prefer Fabletics' high impact bras, but I still find ample support with this low impact variety as well. Though I took pics of the strap detail, it did not occur to me to remove the strap to take pics of it as a mono strap bra. Sorry, guys! However, I figure there is no way I would encourage someone with a full bust like me to wear this without the second strap at the gym. Nope, that would probably end in a Janet Jackson-like wardrobe malfunction of epic proportions while bouncing on the elliptical! No, thanks! If you have a smaller chest and can manage it-- go for it!

Ultra High-Waisted Powerhold Shine Legging in Fluorescent Pink (Strike 2 Piece Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $79.95, VIP Price $59.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $129.90, VIP Price $63.95)

I love, love, love Fabletics leggings and these are no exception. The shiny spandex-like material against the mesh paneling provides a neat contrast on these workout pants! The leggings, in Fabletics tradition, provide ample compression-- but are incredibly comfortable to wear! I also love the inside pocket where you can store a key or cards securely. I love this set paired with my wedge sneakers from my April ShoeDazzle review (coming soon), but I can also mix things up and wearing the neon lemon sports bra from my March Fabletics review with these leggings too!

Verdict: Fabletics has done it yet again! I am obsessed with this new hot pink set! Fabletics has truly upped their game on prints, color palettes, and styles in plus sizes and recently branched out in offering size 4x! It makes me elated to see more options, but I do hope they ensure to be even more inclusive in with their products by offering 5x and 6x pieces. The 4x is a big step in the right direction, but other plus size activewear lines are already offering up to a 6x. I truly hope Fabletics follows suit-- workout gear should be made for every size body! Bodacious girls like to get active as well!

I am rather pleased not only with the styles Fabletics has been offering, but their rewards program where you can redeem points for discounts, free items, and also the various sales exclusive for VIP members only! I am eager to see what bold pieces and sales they will be offering in May, aren't you?

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, both outfits are available in plus size options. Sign up here to nab other plus size workout gear from Fabletics.

Value Breakdown: The Strike outfit retails for $129.90 with a VIP bundle rate of $63.95.  That means I saved a grand total of $65.95 which is roughly a 50% savings! That’s an awesome value!

Bonnie

Since you mention that they are increasing the size range and you think they should increase it further, do you find that this sub runs true-to-size, or on the small side? Or is it kind of all over the place?

Thanks!

Maybe it’s because I’m a kid of the ’80’s but I love neon pink. It’s cheerful AF.

BTW – I’m from her neck of the woods in CA & have met Angelyne numerous times over the years. She’s a hoot! In recent years, she’s told my daughter that she could “put her to work!” Fun fact: she’s a natural redhead, or at least the woman before the legend was.

Omg, I love it, Zara! I have friends from Canada that are close friends with her and man– do they have some wild tales about her. She is a fascinating woman. I was so bummed I did not run into her the last time I was in Los Angeles back in 2017? You best believe I am heading out that way to visit again once everything is safe! I miss California!

And hot pink is growing on me. It really is– I especially love it paired with baby pink, red, orange, and or yellow!

This looks great on you! It is so electric neon, this would definitely energize your workout. Not convinced it would be something I would feel comfortable wearing. Wondering if they have a toned down color in same brand and style.

Shari, it truly is so vivid! It did hold me in well with the second strap. I think going with only one strap… would be bad. I went to check and see if this set is available in other colors, but sometimes down the line if a set is popular Fabletics releases it in different color combos and patterns. They are definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already!

Sarah

Wow, this looks FAB on you. Totally agree with the Jem and the Holograms comment! Now I want something hot pink, too!

Nicole Rieder

OMG! Yes! I need some light up earrings so I can call on Synergy! Thanks, Sarah! And yes, get yourself something fun in hot pink!

*Jaw Drop*

You are JEM (Jem & the Holograms fame) and I will have a lot of trouble believing otherwise now. 🙂

Epic look “Nicole”!

Omg, Hollie! This comment made my day! I lived for that show as a little girl. Along with She-Ra of course!

Edit: I have started watching and realize some things .. 1) my young friend’s parent should have not let her have this video in her room 2) i was also way too young to watch this (we were the same age 6 or 7 and 3) and definitely did not need to watch it perhaps 3 times more in the next 3 months.

Though curious what it was like to my kid eyes

Ratings are there for a reason, and then even if so, (now) common sense media is a great resource.

**I felt I needed to put the disclaimer considering my previous statement, I am not endorsing this movie, watch awesome school cartoons and their 90's live action movie counterparts instead 😀

Hollie

Yas! Well, it is the truth, so add that and check that off your “bucket list”. 🙂

One blast from the past that came across my screen the other day, The Legend of Billie Jean .. did you ever watch it? I remember viewing it on repeat when I was younger, decided I am going to view it “now” to see what I was putting in my noggin on repeat 30 or so years ago!

Emmy

So the pants don’t roll down on the high waisted plus size leggings? How about rolling or stretching down when trying to do squats?

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Rieder

Emmy, they are fantastic! No roll down. They are so incredibly comfortable to work out in!

Lynn

Nicole, I love that color on you! It looks great with your hair. 🙂

Nicole Rieder

Lynn, thank you so much! I am trying to work more pinks and purple into my wardrobe. Two colors I generally used to swear off, ironically!

Apricot

Nicole, you are too adorable! I agree the hot pink is really fun. Something about this outfit seems really retro. <3

Nicole Rieder

Thank you so much, Apricot! I feel like jazzercising in it!
