Wicked Good Perfume "Lush Succulents" Review April 2020

A few things to note about these fragrances:

  • They are formulated without phthalates, parabens, or petroleum
  • These are vegan and cruelty-free and they use sustainable ingredients that are responsibly sourced
  • I am not a huge perfume lover because they usually give me headaches, but these unique, handcrafted fragrances do not!

This month's theme is "Lush Succulents" which seems like a fitting one for April! On one side this card lists the products, the scents they contain, and their retail value, while the back has some information about their box review contest.

Aloe and Agave Tea Light

How cute is this tiny succulent tea light? The scent is aloe, bay leaves, and agave. It doesn't smell very strong, just a hint of fresh aloe, but that doesn't bother me because this is too cute to burn, and will instead be a decorative accent!

Greenhouse Aloe Hand Salve

I'm a big fan of their salve so I was happy to see this in my box this month! This is a blend of green tea, grapefruit, and lemongrass, and it really does smell like the perfect mix of all of these. It's herbal but fresh with a little bit of tang. It also has vetiver in it, but that didn't stand out to me as much as the others, which doesn't surprise me since it seems like such a well-balanced scent. It is a bit greasy like most salves, but it absorbs nicely to leave my skin feeling moisturized. I'll probably throw this one in my purse because it will be a scent that won't compete with any others that I'm wearing!

Cactus Blossom Perfume Oil Roller, 10 ml - Listed Value $18.00

This month's roller is a blend of bergamot, green botanicals, fresh island florals, and white sandalwood. This is a sweet scent and it really did smell like island fruits, or florals, I guess. It definitely has a botanical scent and while it was sweet and fruity, it wasn't overwhelming. I feel like this will be a perfect summer scent, especially for the beach, when the weather is warm and those tropical notes will really stand out!

Green Amber Perfume Spray, 1 oz. - Listed Value $29.00

Our perfume spray this month is a blend of bergamot, violet petals, amber woods, oakmoss, galbanum, and sheer musk. I did have to look up galbanum;

Galbanum has an intense green fragrance with woody and balsamic elements. Often described as earthy or forest-like, this fragrance compound is valued for its ability to impart a rich, spicy green scent.

I was first struck by a sharp masculine note that I can't quite place, but it reminds me of an aftershave or soap sort of? Then it became more of a muted amber musk that was fresh with just a hint of sweet violet and citrusy bergamot. This was a very earthy and fresh scent, possibly thanks to the galbanum, and I really like it! It's different from scents that I would normally choose, but I had it on all day and was enjoying the whiffs I would get throughout.

Verdict: I loved this succulent-themed Wicked Good Perfume box! The best part is that the scents can be layered and this month I felt that they worked particularly well together. The sweetness of the roller bottle paired well with the muskiness of the spray and then the salve tied in well with its botanical notes. The scents are always so unique and fresh, and this month they were especially earthy which feels fitting for April and the month of rain showers! Each month this subscription delights and surprises me for $25.00 (including free shipping).

I really really enjoyed this subcription when I had it. I have never been a perfume girl because perfume and cologne are my number 1 triggers for migraines and terribly debilitating migraines at that. But the products I get from Wicked Good are just that WiCKED GOOD! I have had not one migraine from any of their products and I love love love to layer them all. I literally blindly grab a spray in each hand and just spray away. It’s so nice to finally, after all these years (nearly 50) actually get to smell great and not suffer miserably for it. Thanks WiCKED GOOD!
