So since these are all 1 of they are not a good buy for my hair. Bummer as I love trying new masks and things but I don’t want to buy multiple boxes just to try a product once.

I love trying new beauty items but…packettes? Really? I think I’m very tactile sensitive because the thought of opening these in the bath/shower makes my skin crawl.

I always cut them with scissors then lean them against our shelf so they don’t spill. Only trouble with this for me is I need more than 1 packet usually to get through my hair.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I LOVE this idea! I always end up with a bunch of 1/2 full or once used minis that I’m not in Iove with- I think the value here is more in how many products you can try, not in the value of the individual samples. Definitely not for everyone, but I’m definitely picking one up!

I Love this too. They had something similar before and I bought several. Definitely buying 2 or 3 of these. Great for travel too.

This wouldn’t work for me. I need a few uses to see if a hair product will work for me.

As much as I don’t mind getting shampoo and conditioner samples, this is a BIG FAT NO for me. For starters, it’s all foil packet samples. I would be more willing to spend $12 on this if most of the samples were deluxe sized samples that had enough product in them for at least one use. Plus, I have thick coarse and curly hair (I have 3c curly hair), so a lot of foil samples that I get don’t have enough product for me to wash/condition my entire head of hair in with one use.

I was on the fence about this box, thanks to all for chiming in. I’m on the hunt for a great hair mask for my long, dry hair. Looks like too many shampoos and conditioners in the lot for what I’m looking for. 😟

Naturabrasil murumuru reconstructive mask is awesome. I got it in a Causebox and it will make my hair feel like silk if I’ve over processed my hair with bleach and it comes out like straw.

I have thin, straight shoulder length hair, so each of these shampoo/conditioner packets is good for three to four uses for me. This set is good for over 40 shampoos or at least two months.

I agree, for me this could last 3 weeks and it’s totally worth it to test out new shampoos.

I love when these come out! I grabbed 4 and would have grabbed more if I hadnt just bought a haul from Sephora! ……My hair will go limp and feel dull from build-up if I use a specific shampoo and conditioner over and over. I have to change it up every now and then. These work perfect for that reason, because I dont have to commit to an array of full sized bottles. Plus, its a great way to find new loves and enjoy old favs I dont normally buy. I used a coupon code and was able to grab 4 for $40 🙂

Wish there were less product and bigger samples. This should be free gift with purchase

I was just about to say the same thing. Back in December, you could get the Heat Protection Kit with a $50 purchase.

I am Birchbox’s #1 fan and supporter. There have been times when I have had 3 Birchbox subscriptions going at the same time (and I mean within the last year, not years ago). I am an ACE and became one after only 3 months of getting my subscription. I always clap back at people who diss Birchbox. I love them. But with this kit I am here to say, WTH BIRCHBOX? WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK? Packettes!?!?! You have assembled a kit of packettes? I am not believing my eyes. This is crazy.
Also, beyond just finding this wild, I have long (to the bottom of my shoulder blades), coarse (thick) hair. I always need 2-3 packettes of a product just to get one full use to see if I like it and want to buy full size. I wouldn’t mind paying more for small 1 use bottles. I bought the Nature’s Lab Tokyo hair care sample set that Birchbox offers and it was the perfect size to actually try the product before I committed to buying full sizes. But this kit would not allow me to do that.
Birchbox! I still love you but you are making it very hard to defend you on this one!

I didn’t mind foils quite as much when I was traveling and could throw a few in my kit in case my hotel didn’t have products I like, but like you said, I also have long textured hair and the conditioner foils aren’t really enough, even for single use, and I’m not about to spend money on a kit that only contains foils. Nope.

Love this idea but I wish they were not foil packettes…

Yeah, my hair is really thick and there’s never enough for it in a sample packet.
