Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you'd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

FYI, COVID-19 Updates: To learn more about Stitch Fix's extended return window, any potential fulfillment delays, and more, read all of their service-related updates here.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this Fix. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we conduct reviews).

Stitch Fix for Women April 2020 Review

FYI, while there didn’t seem to be much of a delay on this box, we did receive this email from StitchFix:

We noticed that you recently scheduled a Fix with us. We’re so excited to help you find something you love, however, we wanted to let you know that we are experiencing delays in our fulfillment center right now. We are working to get these delays reduced but unfortunately, your Fix will be arriving later than originally scheduled.

We truly appreciate your patience as we navigate this situation during these times and sincerely apologize for the delay. If receiving a Fix at a later date is not convenient for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at hello@stitchfix.com and we’d be happy to help you out. We look forward to being a part of your closet!

This is my invoice which provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items. My total came to $209.00, but with the 25% off (which they take off BEFORE deducting the $20!) and the $20 credit, my total drops down to $136.75. That’s a savings of $72.25 on these items.

Your stylist will also include a style sheet with some tips on how to wear the pieces in your Fix. They even include ideas for accessories which I find incredibly helpful! There is also a note from my stylist, Kacey. Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid USPS envelope for you to send back any returns or exchanges which makes it so easy and hassle-free!

Wendilyn Knit Maxi Dress by Papermoon, Size L - Cost to Keep $48.00

This maxi dress is simple and cute. The very basic soft black knit material is pretty plain, but the criss-cross straps add a little bit of detail to the back. The length is perfect for me, which is great considering I am pretty tall at 5'7". While the top has a doubler layer, the skirt is a single layer and it has a slit in it, which allows it to move a bit more freely and doesn't restrict your movement as some maxi dresses do. This dress feels like more of a spring dress to me because I think the heavier black fabric might be too much for the hot summer sun.

Basima Back Detail Knit Top by Papermoon, Size M - Cost to Keep $30.00

I love how soft this knit top is and the bright florals feel so summery to me. This has the same fun criss-cross strappy detail at the back as the maxi dress and it's really comfortable. It is also nice and forgiving at the waist which is always a plus in my book. I really like the colors, too. This one could work well for spring with a cardigan thrown over it.

Levie Knot Front Knit Top by Nine Britton, Size M - Cost to Keep $34.00

I love the color, the stripes, and the fun knot detail at the front of this top. It's soft and comfortable, super-casual and perfect for pairing with denim shorts for warmer days. The material is very stretchy, but it's also sort of clingy at the waist. While this totally suits my style, I'm not sure it's the most flattering top and I do already have a similar top.

Rhee Tie Front Top by LUQ, Size M - Cost to Keep $38.00

I love the florals and the flowy style of this top. The front tie is cute and while this is not quite my style, I actually really loved the way it fit on me with the long tie in the front and the long, flowy sleeves. It was really comfortable and I thought it was actually pretty flattering in person. It was just a tad short in the front though and it kept exposing my stomach. I may try it with some jeans that have a higher waist, but if that happens with my higher waisted jeans, this shirt will be a no-go for me since I don't like to bare my midriff!

Lexie Novelty Canvas Sandal by Toms, Size 9.5 - Cost to Keep $59.00

I am already a big Toms fan, but I've never tried their sandals before. These are really cute and I love the neutral colors. I think these would pair nicely with just about any color since they are more of a taupe color and could lean more tan or gray depending on what you pair them with. These are really cute and seem like they would be just as comfortable to wear as their other shoes for longer periods of time, but I don't really need any sandals at the moment. If I were keeping everything then I might consider them just for the 25% discount though!

The Verdict: This month's Fix was a great mix of spring items that will easily transition into summer as well. I thought there was a good mix of both dressy and casual options and for the most part, everything suited my style. I didn't find too many "must-have" pieces this month, but having everything delivered to my door was a perk that I appreciated just a bit more since going out to the stores isn't an option! It's so convenient to try it all on at home and send whatever you don't like back for free.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this Fix if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $209.00. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all 5 items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $136.75. That’s a discount of around 35% for these items.

I have the white floral flowy top and wear it all the time! It’s so cute and comfy. I wear it with leggings usually and I can pull those up a little. I bought it in the new Stitchfix shop thing they’re doing. I’ve bought way too much through that…

Everything looked cute on you. A tucked-in white cami is my go-to when a top shows my belly. I don’t like it when my midriff shows because a shirt is too short.
