Pura Vida Jewelry Club "The Cancun Set" April 2020 Review

One thing I enjoy about Pura Vida is that they always send some nice stickers with their jewelry. The designs are really fun and they always come packaged inside this foldout card that shares their story and details how they give back. They create over 200 full-time jobs for artisans worldwide!

Your jewelry will arrive in this nice sturdy box with a magnetic closure that would be perfect for gifting. Inside is some fun tropical tissue paper that makes for such a nice presentation! The card on top of our tissue paper welcomes us to the club and reminds us how our exclusive jewelry is only available to club members. Every month they send an exclusive sticker and I'm starting to look forward to the designs as much as the jewelry!

Just a note: This card states that the value will be up to $50, while their website lists it as being up to $65. This is a little confusing, and also could be misleading since the higher value is listed on their website, but after a quick (and easy) chat with customer service they confirmed that the $65 value is correct.

Your jewelry comes in little dustbags each month which are perfect for storing your jewelry in. These are a bit different than the ones that come in their bracelet club pack. These are a little smoother and sleeker in my opinion.

Cowrie Toe Ring

This little toe ring is cute with the simple cowrie charm built into the band. I am just not a toe ring kinda gal. Fortunately, since it's adjustable it could also work as a midi ring if you feel the same way as I do! While it's not quite for me, I think the inclusion of a toe ring is unique and could be good for summer.

Here you can see it modeled as a midi ring. It is pretty cute. I would love it if it were just a regular ring!

Cowrie Anklet

This anklet is a bit more my style. I didn't think I was an anklet fan until I received one in a past box and it just felt so cute to have some delicate jewelry on my ankle. I'm looking forward to wearing this one once it's officially shorts and sandal season! The cowrie charms are really cute and I love that it has a double chain. There are two different lengths, although the smaller length was a bit too tight for my ankles. It measures about 9 inches at the shortest and 10 at the longest length.

I had my daughter model it for me and we have it on the smaller setting here. Dainty and cute!

Here you can see how the pieces look together. The cowrie charm on the ring is just a bit bigger and more substantial.

The Verdict: This month's Pura Vida Jewelry Club was a fun and summery set with the cute silver cowrie charms, which are said to symbolize "the strength & power of the ocean." I liked the dainty look of the anklet and think it will be so cute to wear once my legs get a bit of color to them making it stand out more! It will be cute with casual shorts and even dresses since the silver dresses it up a bit. While I won't personally use the toe ring as one, I think it's nice to have the option to wear it as a midi ring. Overall, a cute set for $19.95! What did you think of this month's set?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of now, it looks like this pack is still available! From Pura Vida:

Value Breakdown: At $19.95 for this box, you're paying about $9.98 for each piece.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Thank you for the review. I have always wanted to try a toe ring and anklet.

Amy

Is this the same one that usually has the friendship bracelet style bracelets or was this a different option?

I don’t love the cowrie shells up close, but from afar they are adorable and this box looks much nicer and higher in value than the friendship bracelets!

Hi Amy, this is the same company as the bracelets, but this is their other monthly club option which includes two pieces of jewelry in either gold or silver! 🙂

Very cute! I think it’s fun that they focused on the ankle and toe this time. Very summery. Not at all my style but perfect for a young woman, which I think this box is geared towards.

Well curated, and thanks for the honest review, Brandi!
