March 2020 Pet Treater Dog Pack Review

This shipment from Pet Treater included 5 items: a gourmet cookie, toy, bag of treats, bandana, dog bone, and promotional literature.

Look how cute this month’s “Pick of the Litter” is! Don't forget to email photos of your dog to enter to win a free item in your next month's box.

Tropics Pineapple Dog Toy by Bow Wow Pet

This toy is huge! You can easily hold this to play catch or a little tug of war action if your dog likes that. Rufus doesn't play too much with toys anymore, but he seemed really interested in this pineapple. The colors are amazing so I don't blame him. The material is super thick and it has a fun squeak inside. My kids are really loving tossing this to Rufus and he plays along some of the time!

'Suns Out Tongues Out' Duck & Mango Dog Treats by The Pound Bakery for Pet Treater

These treats were a huge hit with Rufus! I can't say that he has eaten a lot of duck or mango recently, but he sure was into it! This treat is made with duck, pea flour, chickpea, honey, potatoes, mango, carrots, and more. I always say this, but I love the resealable bag because we can keep the treats safely in our pantry for him. The treats are a perfect size too so I can just toss one onto our deck if I need Rufus to head outside for a bit.

BT's Bake Shop All Natural Gourmet Cookie, 1.25 oz

My favorite part of this box is these gourmet cookies! They always match with the month's theme, and I get super excited when opening the box. They look good enough even for me to eat, and Rufus gobbles them down in seconds every month. These are made with honey, cheese, bacon, eggs, flour, and more. I love the sunny beachball this month, and even though there was a little crack on the back, the cookie stayed together long enough for me to take this picture before Rufus ate it all.

Tropical Bandana for Pet Treater

Rufus is ready for Summer in this colorful bandana! He looks so handsome in this bold print, it makes me wish the weather were better, but I'm sitting here in Pittsburgh watching the snowfall still. We will be saving this beautiful bandana for the summer! As I've been noticing over the past few months, the quality of this bandana is wonderful with a thicker material that is extra soft and no loose threads.

Salmon & Mango Natural Dog Bone by Exclusively Dog, 3 oz.

Oh my, this treat smelled so bad. The second I opened this month's bag I knew there was something fishy inside. It was this. Rufus loved it and came running once I started opening everything! This dog bone is massive and made with real salmon. I normally wouldn't let Rufus have a treat this big, but it was finally sunny and not raining so I let him enjoy this on the deck in the sunshine. He gobbled it all down and left no crumb behind. The mango chunks made this bone smell sweet mixed with the salmon smell that Rufus at least seemed to love! I really enjoy offering Rufus quality treats like this that keep him happy and his belly full.

Verdict: Another successful month from Pet Treater with some early summer-themed items! Everything was bold and beautiful and oh so tasty for Rufus! I must say, receiving such bright treats while we are quarantined in the house really made our day shine, and the kids loved giving Rufus the treats this month. It makes me so happy being able to give Rufus a monthly bag of treats and toys that I know are made with care and quality. Plus, it gives him a shining moment of attention, which can be rare these days!

This month I received 5 items. I couldn’t find any of the exact items online, so just by dividing it out, each item would cost about $3. At $15 a month with free shipping, I know that I'm making Rufus happy with quality items which is really where I see the value! I don't know who loves this box more, Rufus or my kids, but either way it is so much fun for all of us!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’ll receive a collection of pet-approved favorites as a welcome pack. After that, your pet will receive the same monthly shipment as other subscribers. Items vary from shipment to shipment, so you’re not guaranteed the same items as seen here. Standard orders generally ship around the 10th of each month. If you’ve added special requests to your order (allergies, no plush, tough toys, etc.), this may add additional processing and packing times due to the extra labor involved.

do you know the actual value of each items and the total value of the whole box?

A lot of the items are made exclusively for Pet Treater so I am not able to find them online. The box does not come with a monthly booklet listing estimated retail value for each item, unfortunately. So we do a value breakdown in the verdict listed above, but this is what I estimated for this month’s box

Value Breakdown: This box costs $15 + free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $3.

Hope that helps. Thanks!

The things I could find prices for are below. I found a 3 pack of the pineapples for $27.99
so the price I’m using for them is from dividing the price. There’s a bakery that makes similar dog cookies for $2 or so local to me so I’d assume $1 or $1.50 max for that. They include quite a few Pet Treater branded items monthly.

Pineapple toy $9.33
Salmon & Mango Natural Dog Bone $3.49
Duck & Mango Dog Treats $2.49
