Our Subscription Box Favorites for March 2020!

Welcome to our monthly post highlighting our favorite discoveries from a variety of women's, beauty, and even fitness subscription boxes! Here are our favorite items from the past month:

Megan's Favorite:

The Item: NOTO Rooted Body + Hair Oil

The Cost: $55.00

From: Scentbird

Why I love it: This oil smells just like burning Palo Santo combined with vetiver and resins. It is as fragrant as it is moisturizing to skin, and I often find myself wearing this as my only fragrance or pairing it with something floral to make a custom scent that is both complex and unique!

Haley's Favorite:

The Item: Silk + Sonder Planner

The Cost: $19.95/month

From: Silk + Sonder

Why I love it: I love positive psychology and personal development like this so much that they’re actually part of my degree! I loved the Knowledge theme I got to experience this month, especially because I’ve been focusing on knowledge a lot this year and trying to jump into learning things I want to and trying out new skills and experiences. I thought the design of this planner was beautiful, the exercises and prompts were original and thought-provoking. Also, I really liked having a small planner just for this month. It made it really easy to carry around and jot down notes or add appointments easily—much easier than the big, bulky planner I had bought for the whole year.

Christen's Favorite:

The Item: Honey Stinger Gluten-Free Organic Waffles

The Cost: Buy 2 boxes of 6 variety packs for $17.49

From: Cairn

Why I love it: I was first introduced to Honey Stingers when I was training for a half-marathon a few years ago, and they're kind of my perfect training fuel. For anyone who knows and loves stroop waffles, they're basically the same thing. In other words, dessert during a workout. Yep, I'm all in.

Becca's Favorite:

The Item: Trash Pandas Game

The Cost: $11.99

From: Together Unplugged

ACTIVE DEAL: Save $5 off your first box!
CODE: MSA5OFF

Why I love it: Like most families, we have been homebound going on day 13 now, and getting a little stir crazy. Thankfully, we discovered this game and it's really been helping pass the time! At first it seemed a little confusing with a lot going on, but after a YouTube tutorial, and a little practice, it has quickly become one of our favorite games! It incorporates a little risk, chance, luck, math, and reading for a well rounded, fun game! While it says it's for ages 8+, my five and seven year olds have been playing it with no problem. And how cute are those raccoons?!

Brandi's Favorite:

The Item: The Garment Duffle by Halfday

The Cost: Retail Value $95

From: Bespoke Post

Why I love it: I saw this bag from the Destination option this month and knew it would be perfect for my husband. He travels (well he used to) for work and he usually needs a few nicer pieces to take with him which means he ends up with a garment bag, a duffle bag, and his work bag. This bag solves that issue and puts two of those in one compact duffle. The whole bag unzips to form a garment bag in which I was able to fit two full dress shirts and pairs of pants in along with a pair of dress shoes, and then it folds up to fit the rest of his gear in the center of the duffle portion. The bag is high-quality with a lot of useful features and holds quite a bit of stuff. This innovative bag felt like a steal this month for the $45 cost of the box and I know my husband definitely appreciates it!

Ragan's Favorite:

The Item: Sushi’s Sweet Shop Silvervine Felt Ice Cream Cone

The Cost: n/a (custom for the box and not available for sale)

From: meowbox

Why I love it: Madison hasn't wanted to play with toys much lately but he went wild over this. He rolled all over it and then rolled all over the floor and had a good old time. Since he is almost 13, I am happy to see him this excited about a toy.

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.

Tiffany, congratulations on your 14 months of sobriety. Great achievement for working on your well being. Check out Women for Sobriety website. It is one of my tools to maintain my sobriety (6 years). 👏🏻🎉💐

Alex, I miss swapping also and the connection to everyone via this process. I can feel Swap mania building inside me 😆

I’ve been wanting to try that Noto oil, so it’s nice to see someone else likes it! Someday swaps will open and I’ll get my little paws on it (I miss swapping with everyone!).

Agreed, Alex, Noto products have been popping up in clean beauty boxes and I’m over here just wondering when I’ll break down and try it myself!

Oh Becca, I bought that game a few months ago for 4-5 adults to play. It is nice because once you get the hang of it, it is quick and doesn’t go on for hours. Sometimes a 15 minute or so game is just the thing. Another fun game we play is Unstable Unicorns but I’d recommend age 14+ for that one! 🙂

Thanks for commenting Tara W! Thanks for the Unstable Unicorn tip! I am definitely going to be checking that out!

I really like the planner! I been using one constantly after my breakdown and got diagnosed as a Borderline. Its helped me get back on my feet and achieve my baby steps and small goals. I’m 14 months sober and lost 75 lbs using the planner. Everyday I use it.. Structure.

But having a hard time paying $20 for just a one month planner :/ its too much money for me.

That is a really nice duffle/garment bag. I went to a wedding in Mexico, and this bag would have been perfect. With rising baggage fees, I think I need to buy this bag. Thanks for including it.

My eye was caught by the fact that doubles as a garment bag—yes, Diane, great for a wedding that requires travel!
