Bespoke Post "Destination" Review

My husband is required to travel for work quite frequently and he usually needs to pack some nicer work clothes to bring along with him so he ends up bringing a carry-on suitcase, garment bag, and his heavy laptop backpack with him. When I saw this bag, which would effectively combine two of those, I knew he had to have it! This card highlights a few of the great features such as the water-resistant shell and the fact that it is TSA compliant. Let's check out the outside first!

The Garment Duffle by Halfday - Retail Value $95.00

This duffle bag is a nice size and measures  22" x 12" with a height of 12" when zipped up. It features two smaller handles with a padded wrap to hold them together and also came with a compression strap to hook to the plastic loops on either side of the bag to carry it over your shoulder. The bottom has little plastic feet to protect the bag from getting dirty when you set it down and on one side there is a zippered compartment to hold and smaller items.

When you unzip the duffle around the sides it opens up to a full garment bag complete with shoe pockets that hold up to size 13 shoes. There is a small hook at the top to hang suits up to size 50R from which is then protected by a zippered section and held in place by a horizontal strap in the center and hem clamps at the bottom. This ensures that your suit or other garments will stay wrinkle-free during transit. I was amazed at how ingenious this design was and how many features there were that contributed to its functionality!

To put this bag to the test, I asked my husband to bring me everything he would usually pack for one of his trips. I discovered that the little hook would only hold two of our plastic hangers so I went ahead and doubled up a pair of pants and a dress shirt on each hook.

I secured his two hangers each with a shirt and pair of dress pants behind the strap and zipped it up. I attached the clamps, but I feel like those are really more for suits. Then I slipped his shoes into the shoe pockets and zipped the sides up to form the duffle bag part.

The rest of the items slipped right into the center of the duffle bag and you can see he actually had room to spare inside! How cool is this design? Here is what we packed: two dress shirts, two pairs of dress pants, one pair of jeans, one pair of shorts, five T-shirts, underwear, socks, a belt, two ties, his Dopp kit and a pair of dress shoes. He easily could have fit another outfit in there!

Here you can get a sense of scale. It's just the right size for his trips and is much better than the suitcase and garment bag combo that he usually has to use.

Verdict: This month's Bespoke Post box was perfect for my husband! They seriously have so many cool items and this bag with its innovative design will make my husband's travels a lot easier. This might be a great option the next time we have to travel for a wedding, too, since I could probably fit a dress in there as well! This bag is so nicely made and my husband and I were impressed with the attention to detail with the inclusion of the various measures to secure your garments in place. I think he will get a lot of use out of this bag which is both stylish and TSA-friendly! We paid $48.95 ($45 + $3.95 shipping) for this box and this bag retails for $95.00, so I'd definitely call it a steal!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! This box is still in stock.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $45 + $3.95 shipping which is a savings of $46.05 on this $95.00 bag.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Hi Brandi, thanks for the great review! Did your husband’s hanging clothes come out wrinkled when he used this bag? Thank you!

How do you actually review? I did Bestpoke for a couple months and it was absolutely the worse idea ever. They send dollar store items. What a waste of money.

I too just got the weekender but was really tempted by this, now Brandi’s review has just tipped it over. I think I’ll end up with one of these too haha! I love BeSpoke post, their customer service is top notch and how is should be done at all companies. I recently bought from their sale tab a Staub cast iron for $99! I feel so fancy now with cookware from France lol.

Great review. What I cool bag. I love bespoke post – got myself the CBD box this month. Actually I got myself two! I CBD box is for inside the body and the other for outside – headache, pains and face oil! How many pairs of shoes fit, just the one?

Wow. That is a great bag! My only wish is that it came with wheels. I’m unable to carry anything substantial like that. But I can certainly imagine this as a gift for others.

I think with thinner hangers, a lot more could be hung in the garment section.

Great review. Bespoke Post really has a wonderful selection of high quality, durable items.

I love this bag! I’m always trying to add to my idea list of what to buy for men who don’t need/want anything! This is going on there for sure!

What a fantastic way to utilize the awkward volume of shoes. While I don’t need any bags right now, I’ll definitely be keeping this one in mind when I need an overnight bag (or a really cool gift for someone hard to buy for). Thank you for a wonderful review.

Thank you for all the photos! I travel for work too and was on the fence about this bag. This is the best review I’ve seen. Just ordered it in green.

We almost got the green but it was so hard to tell what it would look like from the photos. After seeing the blue in person, I’m sure the green is even nicer! Hope this makes your travels a little easier! 🙂

Fantastic review! This may be next on my list! I never really paid too much attention to this sub before, and just recently subbed for the weekender bag as a gift for my son. I’m hooked! I’m now eagerly awaiting my 3rd box and can’t wait to add “sous chef” next! Quality of everything so far has been amazing!

Thanks, Resa! It is addicting – and there is such a variety! Glad you’re enjoying your boxes! 🙂
