BomiBox K-Beauty Subscription February 2020 Review
BomiBox has detailed info cards for each month’s box on their website. The info card describes all the items included in the box and instructions on how to use them. This is great since a lot of the products have instructions that are not in English.
I really like Benton, but I really did not like this oil. I can get down with the facial oils, but this one just felt greasy. Though this doesn’t work for my face, I think I am going to repurpose it by adding a few drops to my hand creams- all of this handwashing is terrorizing my cuticles, and they could use some extra loving that this oil can provide.
From start to finish this product was thoroughly unenjoyable. You can smell both the alcohol and lavender from the ingredients list, which isn’t amazing, and it also was incredibly difficult to wash off- to the point where there were little bits of the peeling gel stuck to the small hairs on my face I had to pluck off, no matter how much water I tried to rinse away with. It did leave my skin softer, but it also left it feeling tight. Two thumbs down on this one.
I don’t love citrus oils as skincare ingredients because they’re usually unnecessary and can be irritating to sensitive skin, but I cannot deny that the grapefruit scent of this cleanser was lovely. This has salicylic acid in it so it isn’t an everyday cleanser for me, but I could see this being the dream cleanser to reach for on a sleepy morning where you’re wanting to wake up and clear away any nighttime sweats.

It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Kit
This kit is like an appetizer sampler but for serums from the Power 10 formula line by It’s Skin. I’m not mad about it- these handy little serums are adorable and perfect for all of the traveling (when the time is right, anyway). I couldn’t really tell much of a difference between the three, but they layered well in my routine and didn’t irritate my skin.
My acne is usually cystic (which doesn’t usually respond to topical treatments unless sulfur is involved), but I actually had a few small baby pimples on my chin that I was able to test this out on. I don’t think any magic was worked, but my skin did appear less congested after a few days of use. Can I contribute that solely to this product and not my overall routine? No, but I can say it didn’t irritate my skin.
This cute little baby toner is perfect for travel, even though I won’t be doing any of that anytime soon. This is packed with antioxidants to fight environmental irritants, so I would recommend using this in your morning routine so it can work with your sunscreen to protect your skin. I really like that the first ingredient on this is green tea water, and it absorbed into my skin quickly.
These masks have been in quite a few sub boxes lately. I have found that for the most part, the performance is the same. The material is made with a bit of stretch which allows it to hug my face for a good fit, and it doesn’t dry out too quickly. Any exfoliating this did was very mild, and my skin still felt hydrated once I took it off.
This had the same experience as the exfoliating mask, only it features a small amount of vitamin C. I wouldn’t reach for this if I needed some hardcore brightening, but it would work well as a morning sheet mask before a no-makeup day for a boost of glow.
The Verdict: This is one of my favorite K-beauty boxes because each time it arrives I feel like I was sent a box straight from the K-beauty websites I use when I need to stock up. This month’s box featured four full-sized products from brands I already love like Jumiso and Benton, plus useful (and cute) travel-sized products. Value-wise, I calculated a total value of $70.81 for everything except the It’s Skin kit.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
Do these boxes usually sell out by the time these reviews are posted? I’ve checked all the reviews and some boxes look good, the others are just not so interesting. Would be great if I could purchase after checking the review of that month
I appreciate the honesty in your review. I keep looking at reviews of BomiBox, but I’m hesitant because of what the products seem to be like. I’m a fan of FaceTory. Maybe I should just try the BomiBag at some point.
Bomibox is my favourite K-beauty box but I had to unsubscribe because I was in product overload. I like how I can buy past boxes on their website so I can skip over the ones that didn’t do so well whenever I do use up my stash and need to buy more

Try PinkSeoul, I subbed to them awhile back and liked their offerings

This review was such a downer and negative, but extremely realistic. Not every product is going work and some are such complete duds!
