March 2020 MoonBox “The Warrior” Review

Every month, MoonBox sends a box guide full of info for keeping up with the stars and moon cycles as well as plenty of rituals to follow.

Moons of Aries Calendar

This illustration is intense at first glance, so it is totally appropriate for Aries season! I love this jewel-toned red to represent this passionate fire sign's approaching season. This calendar reveals the moon cycle of Aries season with a ram, Aries' symbol, front and center.

Pranayums Daily Super Spice Shots, 3 packets - Buy 7 for $9.99

I really enjoy receiving items a little off the grid. I never knew anything about spice shots, so I was very interested from the get-go. This packet contains several different spices including organic turmeric, organic black pepper, organic cardamom, organic ginger, organic cinnamon, organic licorice root and more. For a package of spice, this is relatively smooth and not overly peppery, which opens up a lot of different uses for it. I read in some of the reviews to try it in coffee or smoothies, so I started with the coffee; it was a hit! I didn't notice a boost in energy, but honestly, with a newborn, it would take a few shots to give this girl some extra pep.

Dr. Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask, 1 fl oz - Retail Value $12.99

For a gal with dry skin, sleeping masks are a godsend. Apply a thin layer before bedtime, and thanks to antioxidants from pomegranates, this regenerating mask brightens and soothes the skin for a fresh, supple complexion in the morning. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance, which I am thankful for, and I am happy to report that it did not leave any residue on my pillow. This mask is also free from synthetic perfumes, colorants and parabens.

Silly Yogi Scarf

I couldn't find this exact scarf or style online, but it is similar to a yellow scarf from Silly Yogi that MoonBox featured in the August 2019 delivery. A lot of times people use scarves for a pop of color, but I like that this scarf is doing the polar opposite. I enjoy a neutral here and there, even with spring on the horizon. The sheer rayon fabric will pair well with any blouse, casual to a little dressed up, but I just wish I knew what the symbol on it meant.

Mystic Mondays Holographic Pouch - Retail Value $15

This is my favorite find, maybe ever, from MoonBox! It just takes a little holo/unicorn skin to make me happy; what can I say, I love color! This bag is a generous size and all of my daily makeup fits into this one pouch. I love that I can see all of its contents without opening it, which makes it ideal for when you're in a hurry and searching for something.

Fire Quartz

I am not 100% certain that this is fire quartz, but it would only make sense during Aries season, the fieriest of the zodiac. This beautiful crystal is used to bring clarity and understanding into our emotions. It helps to separate the unconscious from conscious ones and ground our sometimes impetuous, impulsive actions and reactions.

The Verdict: MoonBox's "The Warrior" Box for March was my favorite MoonBox to date! I am obsessed with the fun holo bag and the deluxe crystal is so pretty! I feel this box gets better as time goes by, and I love their mix of beauty and lifestyle items. The value of this box usually just about meets its subscription cost, and if you're someone who loves astrology and crystals, then this is a great box to treat yourself with each month.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you'll likely receive the April box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.00 + $2.75 shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $7.35.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

The scarf features the “Om” symbol. If you search the phrase below on amazon, you’ll see a white version of that scarf printed w black.

“Indian Ethnic Om Sanskrit Mantra Block Print Cotton Hippie Long Scarf White JK339” by Yoga Trendz. It’s $21 plus $3.95 shipping.

That scarf costs about $1-$2 retail in India. Obviously you’d have to be in India to get it for that! 🙂
