Vine Oh! “Oh! La La!” Winter 2020 Review

There is a card for each item, as well as an overview card with total box value enclosed in the Oh! envelope.

Now onto the items. Let's start with some wine!

The wines included in the box are custom made for Vine Oh! so if you like a bottle and want more, you can usually find them for purchase on the Vine Oh! wine shop. You have the option of either two sweets, two whites, two reds, or a mix. I selected the “mix” and received a red blend and a sauvignon blanc.

2016 New Crush California Red Blend – Retail Value $26.00

New Crush Red Blend is a medium body wine with bold, fruit-forward flavors of black cherry, boysenberry jam layered in with a mild oakiness and a hint of cedar. An infatuating blend of luscious red flavors with a slight touch of sweetness.

For someone who didn't like red wine a year ago, I have become quite an enthusiast, especially when it is chilly! Reds warm me from the inside out! This one has a really rich nose full of berries. Those berry notes continue into the first sip, but they are balanced with woodiness.

2017 Spectacle Sauvignon Blanc South Africa – Retail Value $24.00

Spectacle Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and flavorful. It has a fresh flavor profile of lemon citrus, pear, basil, and sea salt. Pairs especially well with pasta and fresh vegetables.

I don't think I have ever really reached for a Sauvignon Blanc before, but I am not sure why because I liked this wine a lot. It has a very bright fragrance and its super drinkable, with very low acidity and notes of summery lemons and a saltiness on the finish that makes me want to go to the ocean STAT.

Now, onto the lifestyle items!

Candy Club You Make Me Melt Chocolate Caramels, 7 oz – Retail Value $7.00

I always seem to get chocolate in a box on the exact day that I need it. These babies arrived in the middle of a week fraught with self-imposed—and honestly quite silly—stress. Did I eat half of these at my desk at 3 pm while drinking the wines above? Yeah, yeah I did. And it was awesome. These caramels also had my favorite chocolate addition: sea salt! I love this combo of sweet and salty, and these certainly improved my quality of life for that crazy day.

Good Things Coming Planner Pad - Listed Value $15.00

When you review as many boxes as I do, organization is really important. I, sadly, am a human disaster, so I really rely on notebooks and sticky notes to keep me "organized" and on-track. This pad is actually genius because I can draft my review priories under each clearly marked day and then check them off as I go. There is also a spot for notes too. This would also be helpful to anyone who just needs a spot to jot down notes or goals for each day of the week and keep them accessible and in plain sight on their desk.

Foxy Originals Wine Charms (6) – Listed Value $23.00

I don't host too many dinner parties these days because I work and I am also in school, but when I do these are awesome to keep around to prevent people from accidentally stealing each other's wine. Each is a shiny gold color and has an imprint of something cute (kiss mark, heart, etc.) so you can keep track of your liquid happiness.

Wine for Two Stemless Wine Glasses – Listed Value $25.00

Though we just received a super cute set of wine charms, I do tend to prefer stemless glasses because we have a porcelain sink and I regularly snap those delicate stems by simply placing the wine glasses into said sink. These are super perfect for Valentine's Day with the XOXO and kiss mark decals. The glass itself has a beautiful pink-to-clear ombre effect. I also have to remark on how nice it is to get GLASS instead of plastic.

Lalicious Sugar Kiss Velour Body Melt, 8 oz – Retail Value $38.00

Our final item is self-indulgence at its finest. This huge pot of body melt smells sweet like sugar and vanilla. Inside, it looks like a solid balm, but it quickly melts with the heat from your fingertips. It is an oil-based balm, so it makes for a great massage cream as well as being dreamy on dry elbows, arms, and legs. The ingredient list is also wonderfully short, with the main elements being coconut oil and sweet almond oil.

The Verdict: This Vine Oh! winter box was full of Valentine's Day vibes! I actually think this would be such an awesome gift for a Galentine's girlfriend or special person in your life for 2/14, and at $60 it is likely much cheaper than some marked-up February flowers. Instead of going to a fancy restaurant, this would also make a nice complement to a night at home with your couch, a heart-shaped pizza, great wine, and Netflix.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! This box will begin shipping today (2/6)!

Value Breakdown: At $59.99 for this box, each of the 7 items has an average cost of $8.57.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I am such a fan of these boxes! Such a better value than FabFitFun. I love getting quality items PLUS two bottles of wine 😍

My first box is on it’s way and I’m pretty sure it will be this one. Super excited and agree the variety so much better than FFF (which I canceled).

Do they charge for shipping?

They do not charge for shipping. I was charged a signature fee for Fed. X. 1.99 That was new to me.

I went ahead and ordered it so MSA you’ll be getting you $10 credit. I was not going to do this as you need a signature but I have a Walgreens on my way home from work and will go there, didn’t want this coming to work. I cancelled fit fab fun to save money but this box just seems really nicely curated. I’m not a wine drinker but it will be nice to have in the house if I feel like it or for giving.

I need my box now. Sitting in my basement as the Tornado warning is going to be easing up soon at Noon. I would drink wine and eat the chocolates as well!!

Thanks everyone. The rain (many inches) continues here in NC and I am sure other places as well. I have never had stemless glasses yet! This is a very fun sub. I ordered this when it first started in 2017.

Isn’t there supposed to be a 3rd bonus bottle? Did you drink that one Megan before you photographed it?!! LOL

Be safe! I’m on the west coast of Florida and we are getting crazy high winds.

Jody, hope everything is okay and that you get your box soon. I was thinking about getting this box but I don’t care for stemless wine glass. Will try to remember to check out the spring review.
