My kids were so stoked to see this giant box come to our door and couldn't wait to dive in! Let's see what we received!

Included in this month's box is a little bit of info about Joynergy and how they came to be. Along with this, they included their social media tags so we are able to post photos of our family using the toys for a chance to win free toys! On the opposing side, we received a bright and cheery welcome with a list of this month's contents and retail values.

Mini Dinosaur Egg-6 Pack - Listed Value $18.95 (on sale for $9.95)
The first item my kids dug out of the box were these cute little dinosaur egg figurines. Measuring at about 2" tall, these little dinos are quite detailed and sit on small discs which look like nests. The plastic is a bit on the soft side and has no odd odor like some plastic figurines do. My kids were pretty bummed that the dinosaurs are adhered to the egg and cannot be removed. While they are cute, we felt it would have been more fun to receive some dinosaurs out of their shell for more rounded play.
Hank and Charlie enjoyed setting up these figurines, and created quite the storyline to go along with it! (Hank is 7 and still enjoyed giving these a go!)

Blind Box Mini Alloy Cars Series - Listed Value $20.95 (on sale for $16.95)
I love the fun packaging these cars came in! The octagon shape was really unique! The kit came with 8 cars that are all a little over 2" long. While the description says these are made of alloy, I noticed they feature a lot of plastic details. They seem pretty sturdy and well made, and I really like the detailing. The variety we received was fun, and my kids loved the rubber wheels- these gave the cars a lot of traction to rip around the house! While we enjoyed these cars I feel even the sale price is too high for this set.

Click & See Projector Toy, 4 Pieces - Listed Value $15.95 (on sale for $9.99)
The next item in our box was this fun projector that features 3 disks with 8 animal images on each. While we have a couple of smaller projectors similar to this, my kids found this one a lot easier to use. The large comfortable size fits into their hands perfectly, and they are able to change out the disks on their own. I was a little disappointed to see a sticker as the colored piece on the handle, but what really had me frustrated was the fact that this item needed two AAA batteries. Now I have batteries on hand, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but I would not have been a happy camper had I not had them in my stockpile! Also, you need a tiny screwdriver to open the back of this toy. Thankfully I was prepared, but this could lead to a frustrated child! I found the projector part to work very well, and my kids enjoyed switching between mammals, fish, and birds. They also feature numbers which is great for my 4-year-old!

Easy to flip slides, and easy to change disks! My kids were happy to be able to do this all on their own!
8.5" Bear-Shape LCD Writing Tablet - Listed Value $28.95 (on sale for $18.99)
This was our favorite item in the box. I have seen these LCD writing tablets before, but I haven't gone ahead and purchased one, and now I'm glad I haven't! This 8.5" bear-shaped LCD writing tablet is thin and easy to hold and features monochrome blue writing. We received 2 batteries and 2 styluses which were very welcome additions, especially after the projector! My kids were obsessed with writing on this, and I have to admit, my 7 year old kicked my butt at tic-tac-toe more than once on here! Charlie was very excited to use this as an alternative to paper for his sounds writing lesson, and he loved the bear shape. While I found similar writing tablets on Amazon for cheaper, I did not come across a bear one- and because Charlie's favorite animal of the week is the bear, I feel like the sale price is fair.
I'm so happy they included 2 styluses so both kids can write at the same time! I will definitely be putting this in my purse for long road trips and restaurant visits!

Dinosaur Finger Puppets - Listed Value $14.99 (on sale for $9.99)
So, Charlie has been BEGGING for the set of plastic Paw Patrol finger puppets he sees at the store every time we grocery shop, and I have yet to give in. I just wrote them on his birthday list, and then we received these! Good news: he loves these more than the Paw Patrol ones! This flexible triceratops puppet fits easily on many sized fingers, and is extremely detailed! It is unlike anything I have ever seen before, and my kids had a blast scaring each other with it! A fun activity was to turn off the lights and use a flashlight to create shadow puppets with this mean-looking guy! We have a puppet show in the works, and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Verdict: This was the first month I have received the Joynergy box, and I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect. My kids found the toys to be age-appropriate and fun, with unique items we have never seen before. I feel like the curation was a bit hodge-podge, and we received a little bit of everything. While the quality was pretty good, I feel the listed values were way overpriced and found myself struggling to justify some of the sale prices. Our favorite items this month were the bear LCD writing tablet and the triceratops finger puppets. I'm hoping they can bring the value up a bit next month, and we can't wait to see what we receive!
