ShoeDazzle is a monthly shoe, clothing, and accessories subscription service. You can shop their merchandise like normal retail, but they have a VIP subscription that gives you better prices – almost everything is only $39.95 (or less) for VIPs. When you sign up for a membership, you complete a style profile. On the 1st of every month, they release new styles and you can pick any item you want – either from your personal ‘Showroom’ or across the site. You can also skip the month. However, if you don’t pick or skip, you get charged $39.95 store credit to spend any time.

This model is similar to how JustFab, Fabletics, and AdoreMe work.

ShoeDazzle Plus December 2019 Review

ShoeDazzle didn't include a standard itemized statement in this month's order, so onward with the review we go!

Braelyn Block Heel Bootie in Bone, Size 9.5 Wide— Retail Price $59.95, VIP Price $39.95, 50% Off VIP Sale Price $19.98

The holiday season had loads of great sales, so I took advantage of a sitewide 50% off of everything deal going on at ShoeDazzle! I saw these boots and I knew I had to have them. I am terrible with heels, but if a shoe has a chunky heel I am usually alright. These booties were easy to walk in and incredibly comfortable. I love the retro-mod style of these booties, including the back zipper with large circle pull! The only negative is that these weren't a bright white and more of an off white bordering cream color. I have been on a mad hunt for the perfect white ankle booties and if these had been a few shades lighter, they would be perfect! That being said. I do regret not getting multiple pairs of these prior to them selling out during various sales; I am rather crafty and wanted to get a pair to paint a metallic green-blue! Silly gripes aside, I absolutely adore these boots as is-- they are amazing! I styled them with a dress from an upcoming Dia & Co review, but these are rather adaptable and could be paired with a variety of outfits! Imagine these killer booties with black tights, a mini burgundy corduroy skirt, a long sleeved black mock turtleneck, and faux fur coat. These will even look adorable with your springtime baby doll outfits or your favorite dress pants and button-down at the office. The options are endless!

Viv Lace Up Boot in Bordeaux, Size 9.5 Wide — Retail Value $72.95, VIP Price $49.95, 30% Off VIP Sale Price $32.87

I have been trying to branch out to higher heeled shoes, so I decided to give these boots a go! They reminded me of something Mariska Veres, of the band Shocking Blue, would have worn in the '60s. I also was curious how these above the knee boots would fit on my thick calves and legs. I always try to help my fellow bodacious babes gauge the fit of items like these-- it is so rare to find a pair of boots like these that fit bigger legs! Good news, my dears: these boots fit like a dream! The material of the upper part of the boot is ultra stretchy. I didn't even need to loosen the laces; it goes on almost like a sock boot. However, I could not walk in these for the life of me! Guys, I almost fell three times. I won't blame that on the boots though, it was more on my end and my inability to walk well on a good day in flats. These boots looked adorable with the Dia & Co dress (review coming soon!), but imagine them styled with a short sweater dress. I can see these looking great with a mini skirt and a vintage band shirt or a tiny, floral babydoll-style dress!

Verdict: This month's ShoeDazzle was filled with awesome boots for plus size bodies! The plus size clothing selection on the ShoeDazzle site has been lacking, but they have been killing it with their boots during the fall and winter season this year! My far and away favorite would be the Braelyn Block Heel Booties. I truly hope to see this boot come in different colors and patterns in the future because the fit and style are perfect! I also am impressed with the Viv Lace Up Boot because an actual plus size person can fit in over knee boots-- why isn't this just the norm and not so revolutionary? Regardless, I am pleased myself and other bodacious babes can get stylish wide calf and leg boots! I truly hope to see ShoeDazzle invest more interest in their plus size customers in 2020, though! I see a lot of advancements on their site, but then when I peruse their plus size clothing I see barely any new products-- what gives? Us bodacious babes love accessories and shoes, but we also love having as broad of a selection in clothes as our thinner counterparts! I love ya, ShoeDazzle, but I am not feeling the love back at times. Please up your apparel game!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, both pairs are still available for purchase, but only in select sizes.

Value Breakdown: The Braelyn Block Heels have a retail value of $59.95 and the Lace Up Viv Boots retail at $72.95. That would have come to a total of $132.90, but due to my VIP discount and the 50% off VIP sale, my order totaled to $46.63. That means I saved $86.27; that is roughly a savings of 65% off! What a deal!

There’s something off about a lot of their shoes & boots. They make you lean forward & are so high that you can’t keep your feet in that position for long. Not good. I am returning 3 pairs & a field jacket that is too small even though it’s an XXL & I wear an XL/XXL in every other brand. So I have to order a 3X! I’m not impressed!

Molly, I am so sorry you had a poor experience. Yeah, I tend to size up with them when I buy clothing items. As for shoes, I have actually quite a few pairs I love from them. These burgundy boots… not so much! Hahaha. I hope you have better luck going forward!
