Sea Witch Botanicals Canary Clean All Purpose Cleaner, 4 oz – Retail Value $6.00

We go through a lot of dish soap in my house and even though we have moved on to a brand that is more enviornemntally friendly, I would love to reduce the plastic waste we create in our home all around. A bar like this seems like an easy place to start. It also has a really lovely orange scent which smells so clean and fresh! The box says I can epect this bar to last as long as 10 bottles of my normal fare, so I am excited to see how far I can stretch this!

Matr Boomie ‘Durga’ Necklace– Retail Value $38.50

I always love ethically made jewelry, and Matr Boomie is responsible for a few of my favorite go-to pieces. This long necklace is made of rosewood and brass and represents earth and fire elements. I really like the shield shape because it adds a geometric sort of flair to an otherwise quite boho necklace, giving it a clean edge that works well with my style.

As always, I love a longer necklace!

Roots Apothecary Cocoa and Coffee Clay Mask, 55 g – Retail Value $25.00

Many of you know of my aversion to clay masks because of my dry skin, but lately, I have been using them on my T-zone more often. The clay in this one was pretty far down on the ingredients list so I knew this might be a winner. The main ingredients in this blend are super hydrating plant oils, so this mask was actually really moisturizing as well as clarifying. It has coffee grounds inside too, so there is a light exfoliating effect when you massage it onto your face. It smells just like coffee and cocoa, though not at all sweet, but rather deep and earthy. This was a winner for me!

Roots Apothecary Gaia Thieves Essential Oil Blend, 15 ml – Retail Value $18.00

Wow! What a blend! I feel like I am in some sort of amazing and earthy spa when I put this in my diffuser. The scent is a blend of cloves, lemons, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary, so it is herbal as well as bright and zingy. It feels so refreshing and very medicinal, in the best way.

Elate Cosmetics Sheer Lipstick in ‘Vivacious’, 5 g – Retail Value $22.00

How cute is this bamboo tube? I love it! Inside is a very sheer and natural lipstick that would easily enhance any lips out there. The formula is over-the-top moisturizing and adds just a hint of red to my pout. It also smells really great: very sweet, creamy, and natural.

Such a great natural lippie!

Meema Waist Apron – Retail Value $24.00

This has to be my favorite item in the entire box! This apron is just so well made and useful. I do a lot of painting and live model sketching, and this is the perfect type of accessory to keep all of my brushes, pens, pencils, and more on hand when I am standing in front of an easel. I love the light denim material and think it feels super sturdy. There is a part of me that can’t wait to break this apron in and get paint all over this because then it will be even more beautiful!

NIU Body Boost Facial Serum, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $31.00

This is a really nice serum, especially if you have dry skin. A blend of rosehip oil, grapeseed oil, vitamin E, and geranium, this is a real treat for winter skin. It absorbs easily and has a geranium scent that also reminds me of roses. If you prefer not to use this on your face (or if you are on the oilier side) try it out on your legs, cuticles, the tips of your hair! The possibilities are endless and wherever you use this will benefit.

Earthlove Lunar Calendar – Listed Value $15.00

I had a similar calendar for 2019, so I am very grateful to have a replacement for the new year. I consider myself a pretty casual moon watcher, but I love being aware of the different phases. It makes me feel more connected to the heavens somehow. This is a beautiful lunar calendar with clear dates and phases so you can reference it at a glance. It is also printed on heavier cardstock, so it feels quite sturdy.

Elements Truffles Maple Toffee Chocolate Bar, 50 g – Retail Value $6.00

Finally, our last treat is a toffee covered bar of 75% dark chocolate. Chocolate is the fastest way to win me over, so finding it inside this already awesome box feels like the icing on the cake. It was truly delicious, and the toffee chunks were the perfect addition to this smooth bar.

The Verdict: I am really digging this month’s Earthlove box. What a wonderful assortment of thoughtfully curated items! Not a single dud to be found in here, at least for me. Everything felt really special and on-brand. I especially adore my new apron, necklace, and essential oil blend. The moon calendar and book were also favorites. Oh! And the chocolate! Well, everything! If you are on the hunt for a really wonderful and eco-conscious box, consider giving this one a try.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! The Winter box is still available!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. I bought this box based on this review (thanks Megan!) and I love it even more in person than I thought I would. Everything was very well packaged & high quality, I’m pleased with everything.

I did want to let everyone know that my box did not come with the Cocoa & Coffee face mask but included a Honey & Turmeric face mask instead. Earth Love did include a nice little note explaining the swap because Roots Apothecary ran low on stock of the originally included mask. But I’m okay with that, turmeric seems to be having a moment so I was glad to try it.

Also, my necklace is slightly different from the one Megan received but still beautiful. I think differences should be expected since it is handmade. My necklace is more of a soft triangle shape with a vine design instead of geometric.

I was planning to cancel after this one box because I should be on a “no buy” but now I’m really looking forward to see what they have in store for Spring.

  2. I qas completely unaware of this sub. It really suits me.

  3. The necklace is really pretty! I think wooden jewelry is underappreciated.

    • Also a huge fan of wooden jewelry, especially beads!

  4. How have I missed this sub? As soon as my no buy is up I’m on board. What a lovely curation and the ethos fits my lifestyle!

  5. That lipstick is the cutest! Looks like a neat, well curated box.

    • I received my box last week. Quick shipping!

The mask that I received is turmeric and honey, substituted for the cocoa and coffee one. I’m not sure about the scent and reddish color 🤔. I found parts of the book a bit too new age-y and mystical for me, but the necklace was a hit and the moon calendar is on the fridge for reference.

  6. This box is exactly what I am looking for. That’s sn amazing curation.

  7. I was impressed with the book. So many lifestyle boxes include books with inspirational quotes and pictures, and drawings. These are cute but have little substance. Or often you’ll find the type of book that is capitalizing on a new lifestyle trend like forest bathing or hygge, which do have information about the cultural practice of the title, but it doesn’t go very deep. I am very impressed with this book that has useful and well researched information. Great inclusion.

The rest of the contents don’t suck, either. 😊

    • This box consistently approached sustainability in a way that feels really genuine. I highly recommend it!

  8. Megan the code is not working

    • It worked for me, but you have to enter your email address for it to apply

    • It works if you type out the code, instead of copy and paste. I got the $10 off that way.

    • Sorry about that Rebecca! I also was successful in adding it when typing it out and entering my email. I hope that helps!
