Wicked Good Perfume “Magic in the Air” Review December 2019

A few things to note about these fragrances:

  • They are formulated without phthalates, parabens, or petroleum
  • These are vegan and cruelty-free and they use sustainable ingredients that are responsibly sourced
  • I am not a huge perfume lover because they usually give me headaches, but these unique, handcrafted fragrances do not!

This month’s theme is Magic in the Air and we have some great winter scents here! On one side this card lists the products, the scents they contain and their retail value, while the back has some information about their box review contest.

Twisted Peppermint Bath + Shower Whip – Full-Size Listed Value $14.00

I didn’t see any $14.00 scrubs on their site and this doesn’t have a size listed, so I’m not sure how to value it, but I think this scrub was a nice inclusion this month. It looked so pretty and pepperminty all whipped up in the jar! This is a blend of sweet peppermint, mint, sugarcane, balsam, and vanilla and I have to say it is such a well-balanced blend of scents! The vanilla and balsam really toned down the peppermint which can sometimes be a bit much and we were left with a fresh and invigorating blend of scents instead of one strong scent. The scrub itself has fine particles for a gentle exfoliation that left my skin smooth and clean!

Frosted Pine Soy Candle, 2 oz. – Estimated Value $2.18, Full-Size Listed Value $24.00

This soy candle is a mix of crisp pine, sweet fir balsam, and warm cedar and it is one of those perfect winter scents! The blend was very subtle and gave off a warm and inviting vibe. I lit it in my kitchen and it filled the space with a nice warm glow that is so appealing in these cold months! They have both 9 and 11 oz candles on their site, but not this specific scent, so I am estimating the value based on the larger size here.

Cinnamon Cocoa Perfume Oil Roller, 10 ml – Listed Value $18.00

I love that their rollers are usually a bit more of an adventurous scent. In this case, we have Cinnamon Cocoa, although I have to say I don’t pick up on the Ceylon cinnamon much at all. I think it must be lingering in the background helping to balance out the other scents of chipotle, Bali Blue Moon coffee beans, nutmeg, cocoa, and vanilla sugar. It starts as out as coffee and warm vanilla sugar with the faintest hint of cocoa and chipotle which is so cozy and pleasant! It does fade to more of a simple vanilla sugar scent that is very subtle and easy to wear, but I actually wish the scent was a bit stronger and lasted longer because it is so good!

Let It Snow Perfume Absolute, 1 oz. – Listed Value $29.00

Our perfume spray this month is a blend of bergamot, frosted snowflake, thyme, basil, iris, and cedarwood. It seems that they always choose really clean, fresh scents for their perfume sprays making them pretty universally pleasing. This blend had just a hint of sweetness and a frosted pine smell which might be a blend of the frosted snowflake and cedarwood that I picked up on. I also really picked up on the notes of basil and a little bit of the citrus from the bergamot. The scent from their sprays carries more than the roller bottles and it also lasts longer, a few hours or so. They are never overpowering, but just enough so that those around you can pick up on it. This was another great scent, but I almost wish our spray had been the Cinnamon Cocoa scent because it was so good and I would love for it to linger longer!

Verdict: Wicked Good Perfume is quickly becoming one of the boxes I look forward to most each month! They manage to put together such unique scents and the curation is very well balanced in regards to the items and the range of scents. I love that they include seasonal themes and choose fragrance blends that fit within them so perfectly. I have been so pleased with this subscription thus far and as someone who isn’t usually big into fragrances, I find myself surprised as to how much I enjoy it! As for the total retail value this month, it’s a bit difficult to calculate since two of the listed values were for full-size items, but considering the Let it Snow perfume itself retails for more than the cost of this $25.00 (including free shipping) subscription, I’d say the value is definitely there!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Order by December 30 to get this month’s box!

  1. Funny, my box this month came with a bar of soap and not the scrub. Plus my candle was a larger size.

    • Mine had the soap, too. I really wanted the whip.

  2. I’m considering this sub. I’ve bought from Fortune Cookie Soap before and they use too much dye! It stains my skin! This sub looks comparable but more “grown up.” I love scented products that are unique. Thanks for reviewing this!

  3. I am really loving this sub…its quickly become one of my favorites. I can’t wait for next month.

  4. I ordered very early this morning and it’s already shipped! Now THAT’S service. Looking forward to trying this.

  5. What size is the scrub, please?

    • There is no size indicated anywhere, but it is a bit smaller than a 4.5 oz jar of whipped scrub I have so maybe 3 oz? I’ve gotten several generous uses out of it so far and still have some left! Sorry I can’t be of more help!

  6. What a lovely subscription at such a reasonable price!

    • It really is! 🙂

  7. I adore this subscription!

    • Me too! 🙂
