TONYMOLY November 2019 Monthly Bundle Review

This box doesn't come with an info sheet, but just like last month, I received some pretty adorable samples.

I’m Real Sheet Mask in Peach – Estimated Value $3 (Buy 2 for $6)

This is your basic, no-frills sheet mask, but I enjoy reaching for masks of this kind. They’re pretty saturated with serum and they’re cooling on my skin. When my skin feels like it needs a little extra TLC I like applying a nourishing face oil before layering one of these sheet masks on top to make a hydration sandwich for my skin to eat up. I thought the fruity scent of peach was nice, too.

I’m Real Sheet Mask in Rose - Estimated Value $3 (Buy 2 for $6)

I actually bought this mask at ULTA about a week before this box arrived- I had a coupon I wanted to use and needed to hit a minimum spend. This has the same qualities as the peach mask above (only it had no peach scent, and it didn't really have a strong rose scent either), and before this review is done you will have no doubts about how I feel about rose in skincare products.

I’m Real Sheet Mask in Hemp - Estimated Value $3 (Buy 2 for $6)

This hemp mask is actually new to the I'm Real mask family, so I was happy to see it in this box. Hemp in skincare is known to be soothing and anti-inflammatory, and that has been my experience with literally every hemp skincare product I have tried. This sheet mask was no exception, and this would definitely be a repurchase for me if I ever get low on sheet masks (I say when I literally just finished talking about buying the rose mask above when I genuinely have about 100 sheet masks at home).

Master Lab Hyaluronic Sheet Mask– Estimated Value $4.50 (Buy 2 for $9)

I don’t love that the Master Lab masks from TONYMOLY all have alcohol on the ingredients list, but this is still a hydrating mask that my skin soaks up. While alcohol can be an irritant, my skin is never anything but plump and nourished every time I take one of these off.

AVETTE Deep Clean Coconut Super Cleanse, sample size

Avette is a brand new sister company to TONYMOLY, and based on my research the brand hasn't hit The US yet. This cleanser is made with hydrating coconut water, and it starts off as a gel cleanser that turns into a paste as you massage it in before ending with foamy bubbles. This was a fun experience to try, but the single-use, unmarked-volume sample size made it difficult to get a true read on how the product worked for me.

Chok Chok Green Tea Foam Cleanser, 150 ml - Retail Value $14

This cleanser, on the other hand, is one I am happy to see in this box- especially as a full-size product. If I ever run out of cleansers from subscription boxes (unlikely but within the realm of possibility), they will never be a skincare product I splurge on. Why would I, when there are so many effective cleansers from K-beauty brands like this one that retail for under $15? This features fermented green tea that was gentle on my skin while still providing a deep cleanse, and I didn't feel like my face was tight or overly dry after using.

Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream - Retail Value $21 (currently on sale for $15)

Peeling masks and creams are one K-beauty trend I have not been able to get on board with, so while I absolutely adore this green apple packaging I will be passing this gentle exfoliant on to a friend. This mask is made with apple and papaya extract, and to use you massage it into clean, dry skin before leaving it on for 5-10 minutes. When you massage it into your skin you feel the "peeling" action of dead skin lifting off your skin, but I have never been able to believe that is genuine over a gimmick. My skin had no problems with this, it just wasn't for me.

I’m Rose Revitalizing Sleeping Mask, 1 oz - Retail Value $6

I was stoked to see this mask- it is from a new recently released line from TONYMOLY. This is a sleeping mask made with an ingredients list that truly makes me happy- the first four ingredients (aka, the most potent), are water, glycerin, rose water (1000 ppm, to be exact), and Centella. Centella and rose are two of my all-time favorite ingredients since they are so soothing and nourishing to my skin, so I feel like this sleeping mask was made with just me in mind. This did a good job of keeping my skin hydrated throughout the night, and it didn't make a mess on my pillows.

Vital Vita 12 Moisture Ampoule – Buy the 1 oz version for $20

Vita Vita 12 Calming Ampoule – Buy the 1 oz version for $20

The Vital Vita line from TONYMOLY is relatively new, so these mini ampoules have been a frequent guest in the monthly boxes. These have come in handy when I have been traveling or doing skincare at the gym, but they are too small to really see noticeable results.

Panda's Dream Rose Hyaluronic Face Cream, 0.85 oz - Retail Value $9

I am already a fan of the Panda’s Dream collection from TONYMOLY, and this rose version has my heart swooning. If you couldn't tell by now, I love anything with rose, and this has rose extract, rose water, raspberry, hibiscus extract, and hyaluronic acid. This was soothing and nourishing to my skin, and it soaked in with ease. This is a product I would like even if the packaging wasn’t cute, and I appreciate that TONYMOLY is a great intersection for affordable, cute, and reasonably effective products.

I’m Honey Hand Cream – Retail Value $6

Hand creams are a common feature in the box, but I’m not complaining. I think this is actually my favorite so far- it is nourishing without leaving a greasy residue, and I appreciate the faint scent of honey that isn’t too strong.

The Verdict: Was this a subscription box review, or was it an ode to my love of rose in skincare products? Either way, I think TONYMOLY killed it with this monthly bundle. I love that multiple items in this box were newly released, and each and every month this box makes me sing with how cute the packaging is. Value-wise, I calculated a total estimated value of $63.50, but that doesn't include the values of the mini ampoules and the cleanser sample.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you order today? No, this monthly bundle has sold out, but stay tuned for the December bundle!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $46.50 (39 + $7.50 shipping) which means that you are paying about $4.22 per item (counting the two mini ampoules as one).

The cleanser is interesting, I tend to splurge on a few cleansers and also use cheap ones. I prefer to get luxe balms in boxes but not many send them.

I purchased AppleTox several years ago. I actually use it on my hands. I am a nurse and wash my hands hundreds of times daily, so they get dry and cracked. When I use this product, the dry flakes are exfoliated. It really works well. I use other products to exfoliate my face, so I wouldn’t dare use it on my face. I don’t use it very often and I am finally at the bottom of the jar. I plan to purchase this or a similar product.

I use a similar Tonymoly product to the green apple peel, and I think mostly the “peeling” is just the product turning into little beads or bunches, but my skin definitely does feel smoother after using, so who knows.
