Pusheen Box Winter 2019 Review

Each box includes an info card that has a cute Pusheen print on the front (seen as a chef this season with Stormy and friends) that coincides with the theme and a run-down of all of the items on the back.

Pusheen Vinyl Figure

One thing you can always expect from Pusheen Box is an exclusive vinyl figure. This box has a baking theme, so it makes perfect sense that our girl is nestled into a pink baking cup with a dollop of white frosting on her back to make her look like the cutest cupcake I’ve ever seen. I especially like that the frosting is slightly squishier, so it kind of doubles as a stress reliever.

Pusheen Silicone Spatula

Just yesterday at lunch, Lacey said: “You know you’re old when you have a favorite spatula.” Touché, Lacey! This particular one will keep me young since it has a sweet image of Pusheen right on the slightly curved head of the spatula. I’d say this is more of a mini size at eight inches long and 1.5ish inches across which makes it ideal for scooping out frosting from a bowl. It’s flexible and soft so it bends easily to get every last bit of batter or topping.

Pusheen Cooling Rack

When baking, a cooling rack is essential, especially when you want your goodies to cool down as quickly as possible so you can frost (or EAT). This wire cooling rack is powder-coated in pretty soft teal and is shaped like a curled up Pusheen with her recognizable tail and face on the front. I have boring old black cooling racks, but I’ll certainly be switching to this one now that I have it!

Pusheen Measuring Spoon Set

The thing I find tricky about baking is how EXACT your measurements have to be. I don’t know how many times I’ve spent hours making something, only for it to not rise properly, or for the ingredients to be off so it doesn’t taste good. Luckily, Pusheen box has included some brightly colored measuring spoons in her signature teal, yellow, pink, and white. They come in four sizes for 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, and 1 tbsp so that you have your bases covered. There’s a white ring to keep them all together when not in use that has a rubber Pusheen on top. Perfect!

Pusheen Baking Cups/Liners

Whether you’re baking healthy muffins or sweet cupcakes, these liners will save your cupcake pan from getting too dirty while making for some seriously cute decorative vessels for your freshly baked treats. It’s not clearly marked how many teal liners come in the container and I’m not patient enough to count them, but there is plenty to make a TON. Each one has the same design of Pusheen in the classic cat “bread loaf” form with polka dots in between each around the outside of the liner.

Pusheen Potholder

One of the things I appreciate about Pusheen box is that they include super useful items that anyone could use and they are always well made! This potholder comes in light teal and the print matches the cupcake liners with Pusheen comfortably curled up with polka dots sprinkled between in a uniform pattern. It’s 100% cotton and has a light stuffing and quilted finish. There’s even a loop at the top to hang near the stove for convenience. They think of everything! What a great part of this baking box.

Pusheen Recipe Cards, 25 ct

Now that Pinterest exists, I rarely use paper recipes or copy down my Mom’s recipes from back in the day like I used to. However, these yellow recipe cards make a strong case to go back to basics. Each of the 25 cards has Baker Pusheen (complete with chef’s hat) at the top left corner, taste testing what looks like a cookie dough batter with a spoon. There are spaces for the title of the recipe, whose kitchen it comes from, notes, prep time, total time, and ingredients. On the back there is lined open space for the directions accompanied by the same Baker Pusheen from the front, Stormy stirring her own batter, and another Pusheen at the top right corner with a finished loaf of freshly baked bread.

Baker Pusheen Sweatshirt

This is one of my favorite items in the box! The bright yellow color is out of my comfort zone clothing wise but perfect for my home city of Pittsburgh. As always, the sweatshirt is oversized but I am loving how it looks with leggings since it’s quite long. It’s incredibly soft (like all Pusheen wearables) and has Baker Pusheen embossed on the front in a really cool style I haven’t really seen a lot of. This is a great item for cold weather and I love Baker Pusheen with her chef’s hat carefully stirring a bowl of batter with a smile on her face.

Pusheen Mini Vacuum

My other favorite item from the Winter box is this yellow mini vacuum! I couldn’t have even come up with this item if I tried. It may not be super practical, but it’s a cute idea to clean up messes on the kitchen countertop after a day of baking (or for getting crumbs off my desk at work). It has surprisingly strong suction and did a great job cleaning up particularly crumbly biscotti pieces from my desk. It’s also quite easy to dump out the crumbs it collects- you just need to open the bottom by pressing a button on the back. Its puck-like shape is very reminiscent of robot vacuum and the fact that a plastic Pusheen sits on top only furthers the cuteness and calls up comparisons of viral videos of cats riding Roombas. It runs on two AA batteries I had to supply, but that’s a small price to pay for the joy this brings me.

Verdict: Every time I get a new Pusheen Box, I wonder how they can possibly top the cuteness of the last one but they always do! They produce a never-ending stream of cute yet functional themes and I think baking was a cute idea for the holiday season! As I mentioned- I think the sweatshirt and vacuum are my favorites but I’m also tempted to put the vacuum in my cousin-only gift exchange game this Christmas since I think it’d be a popular one that would get stolen a lot! As always- these items are really giftable but if you have a baker in your life who loves Pusheen- this whole box is a slam dunk!

  1. I love this sub! All the items were adorable, in perfect shape, and usable! Baker Pusheen will be by my side while we create delectable winter treats!

  2. !!! I wish I got this box! I am a huge and long time baker so this would have been perfect for me, and I love the practicality of all the items (except maybe the recipe cards) and the yellow of the sweatshirt is so cute

    • This is a very cute box, and Im glad I got it during the BF special. I cook more than I bake, but all the items are just as pratical. The mini vaccuum will be great for getting crumbs off the couch or dining table. I also like that the design on the Sweatshirt is sorta subtle, instead of walking around with a huge cat. I chose a smaller size since I heard everything runs big. Overall, the value is completely there. for ~$44 bucks. I’m happy to say their customer service is pretty good as well, and quickly resolved my problems. I

    • I think they’re still on sale!

  3. This Pusheen Box was sooo adorable!! I loved the Recipe Cards, The Measuring Spoons, The Cooling Rack, very cute! I was happy with the Baking Theme, just wish they would have included a Pusheen Baker Plush!!!

  4. Well I think it’s adorable! I love everything!

  5. This box was a disappointment for me. I haven’t even opened it, not excited and don’t care for it.

  6. Love the box! But sad they didn’t include a soft plush Pusheen – holiday or baking theme.

  7. I wish they would have included an oven mitt and a timer instead of the mini vacuum.

  8. Yay, love it! This will be perfect for baking with kids during Christmas vacation. Thanks for the fun review!

  9. Glad I skipped it ! Not worth the money don’t care for the color of the shirt. Everything looks cheap.

    • A lot of the items are cheap poor quality things which is why I stopped subbing

      • I also stopped my subscription because of the cheap quality items.

My last box was Winter and EVERYTHING in it was scratched up and cheap. The customer service told me they’d replace my items but after months of waiting I ended up just getting a refund.

Even in this “review” you can see the vinyl figure scratched up and what looks like glue on the whiskers.

  10. Cutest box ever!

  11. Love everything will need to see if still available.
