Welcome to our monthly post highlighting our favorite discoveries from a variety of women's, beauty, and even dog subscription boxes! Here are our favorite items from the past month:

Megan's Favorite:

The Item: Bradley Mountain Coal Tote in Tobacco

The Cost: $74.00

From: Bespoke Post

Why I love it: I chose this bag on an impulse because I admired the heavy canvas and leather straps, but I can't believe how much I love it. I have quite literally carried it every single workday since it arrived because it is so rough and tumble and holds a massive amount of things while still looking super chic.

Apotheke Charcoal Diffuser with reeds in, next to box

The Item: Apotheke Charcoal Diffuser

The Cost: Retail Value $48

From: POPSUGAR Must Have x Apotheke Box

ACTIVE DEAL: Get $20 off your first box!
CODE: MSA20

Why I love it: I am truly obsessed with this scent! I have the diffuser in my office at work and each morning I come into the wonderful smell that puts me in a terrific mood. The whole box is great, but the diffuser is a gamechanger for me!

Christen's Favorite:

The Item: Paddywax Mark Twain Library Candle, 2.5 oz

The Cost: $12

ACTIVE DEAL: Save $5 off your first box!
CODE: MSA5

From: Nosejoy

Why I love it: First of all, tin candles are my jam these days because my little one has taken to sticking her tiny fingernails in candle wax (when the candle is unlit, of course!) and it makes a total mess. So the fact that I can just close the lid on this one makes it possible to even have a candle hangin’ around. But also, the scent—a blend of tobacco flower, patchouli, vanilla, cedar, and other notes—is so my style in that it’s complex, not-too-feminine, and just really, really pleasant.

Adults and Crafts Nov 2019 engraving pen in box

The Item: Darice Engraving Tool

The Cost: $5.14

From: Adults & Crafts

Why I love it: I have never engraved before in my life, and this subscription taught me a new skill that I have really taken a liking to! This engraving tool can be used on metal, glass, plastic, and more for a customized look. I have made tons of glass coasters, and have created some really beautiful Christmas presents to give with a bottle of wine this year!

Jessica's Favorite:

The Item: 1951 Maison Française XL Pochette

The Cost: $105.26 (€95)

From: Oui Please Vol. 4.5

ACTIVE DEAL: Get 25% off your first box
CODE: 44433

Why I love it: My LSU Tigers are officially 12-0 and heading to a bowl game (and hopefully the National Championship game), and this tiger-print genuine cowhide leather purse is going to get me through the college football playoffs and many more seasons to come. While almost everyone in Baton Rouge owns something in tiger print, I love knowing that my high-quality Maison Française is unique while still fitting in perfectly. Plus, it is roomy enough to hold everything I need before going out, including my phone, wallet, portable charger, lipstick, and a sample of face wash so no matter what I never have to sleep in my makeup.

Brandi's Favorite:

The Item: OwlCrate Exclusive Throw Blanket

The Cost: n/a

From: Owlcrate YA

Why I love it: This blanket is so beautiful, unique and incredibly soft! This is just the perfect thing to keep me cozy this season as I curl up with a good book and a cup of cocoa or coffee! As much as I love the material, I love the design even more. It’s such an enchanting scene full of beautiful colors and little bits of nature. This is the perfect bookish winter item and it is definitely my most used item this month!

PupBox November 2019 Archie pickle tail

The Item: Holiday Tails Get Pickled Cuddle Plush, Large

The Cost: Listed Value $12.99

From: PupBox

Why I love it: My sweet dog Archie is king of the toy destroyers, so usually a plush toy isn't a great pick for him; however, the cute face, great construction, and hidden surprise inside made this brined buddy a favorite item this month. My husband and I participate in the traditional hiding of the pickle ornament on our Christmas tree, so this toy felt like a really great fit for our family right away, and when presented with it, Arch's tail would not. stop. wagging, like he had found his new best friend. They were close pals for right around twenty minutes before my sweet pup was able to pry open a seam, but voila! Inside was a sizable squeaker, printed with a sweet heart on it, and even though the pickle part is no more, the squeaker is still close to Archie's heart (I know because he keeps dropping it into bed with me while I sleep). The construction on this item was truly sturdy, and I think less powerful chewers would find hours of joy with this toy, which was perfectly chosen for the "Happy Howlidays" theme of this box.

Ragan's Favorite:

Meowbox November 2019 Wand

Meowbox November 2019 Angus 7

The Item: Pizza Rat Wand

The Cost: Estimated Value $10

From: meowbox

Why I love it: I almost always pick whatever item gives me the best cat pictures as my favorite item of the month. I got a lot of good shots of Angus's belly with this one, but Monkey and Sneaky also enjoyed playing with it.

Abby's Favorite:

The Item: The Mobile

The Cost: n/a

From: Lovevery

Why I love it: I love the way my baby stares at this mobile! It mesmerizes him and distracts him when it is changing time and adds a cool/modern vibe to his nursery. It is painted on both sides; the black and white side is stimulating to the babe until his eyesight gets a little stronger, and then around 5 months he can start enjoying the colorful side.

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.
