Bombay & Cedar "Nurture" Review

The box comes with a booklet of information that lists out the products and highlights some of the brands. The theme this month is "Nurture."

Frankincense Essential Oil by Bombay & Cedar, 10 ml - Listed Value $16.00

Coriander Seed Essential Oil by Bombay & Cedar, 10 ml - Listed Value $14.00

I actually just ran out of oils for my essential oil diffuser so these came at the perfect time! Both scents smell earthy and a bit masculine, which I love. They work really well together or on their own to fill the air from my diffuser. The booklet mentions that the coriander seed oil is beneficial in treating spasms and more, I might have to look into this a bit more to see what exactly it treats and how to use it. For now, these are going to work perfectly in my diffuser. Leave a comment if you know of other ways to use either of these oils!

Go Easy Shampoo by Ursa Major, 8 fl oz - Retail Value $26

Receiving a full-size bottle of shampoo feels so luxurious and special to me! This shampoo is sulfate-free and promotes a healthy scalp while thoroughly cleansing without stripping your hair. When I went to use this shampoo I was hit with a welcoming scent that woke me up without being overpowering. It was so fresh and clean smelling with an almost woodsy scent that I couldn't pinpoint. After reading over the bottle, I saw that the top scents are ginger, balsam, and fir - all favorites of mine! I will say, I had to use a lot of shampoo in order to get a good lather and strong clean. However, I have very thick curly hair that I don't wash every day, so when I do wash I need a pretty deep clean. My husband, however, has much thinner hair and found this to be the perfect blend for him, leaving his hair feeling soft and clean. I love trying new hair products and this was a great find that I know will get used up!

Nourish & Glow Tea Set by Kaneli - Listed Value $16

I am so impressed with the overall presentation of this tea set! Not only does it come with tea bags, but it also has a bamboo spoon for scooping. This would make a wonderful gift for any tea lover in your life! This particular caffeine-free blend is made with organic rooibos, cinnamon, ginger root, cardamom seed, cloves, and stevia leaf. According to the packaging, rooibos is rich in alpha hydroxy and zinc which reduce the sign of aging, heal wounds, protect against UV rays, and have anti-inflammatory properties. To prepare, simply put one bamboo spoonful into the bag and let it steep for 4 to 5 minutes in 8 ounces of water. I enjoyed my cup of tea hot, and while it was delicious, I found it to be very strong! The cloves and ginger stood out the most to me which are two flavors I don't particularly enjoy. The flavors were warm and cozy, perfect for the cold winter, but I might have to use a tiny bit less in my next cup to see if that takes down the overall clove flavors.

Olive Oil Lemon & Thyme Bar Soap by Peet Bros., 5 oz. - Retail Value $6

The moment I opened my box I was hit with the awakening smell of lemon, a scent that I really love! The mixture of lemon and thyme give this bar of soap a wonderfully fresh yet cozy scent that is just delicious. Plus, how cute is the packaging? I could see this being a wonderful gift or stocking stuffer. Peet Bros. makes 100% palm-free soaps that are made with natural ingredients including olive oil. So this bar is going to leave your skin feeling so fresh and soft! I placed this in my downstairs powder room to fill it with the lovely lemon scent.

Embroidered Wireless Speaker by Tech Candy - Listed Value $36

Wow, I am obsessed with the embroidery on this speaker! It is so cute and stands out from my other solid black wireless speakers that we have around the house. The sound quality is great, it was simple to set up, and it is easy to use. The extra hook is an added bonus making it easier to take with you on the go or hook onto a bag. I think I am going to be using this when I am outside with my kids or at the park during our weekly picnics. My kids love listening to music and this will allow us to have dance parties wherever we go!

You could have received this wireless speaker in four different colors.

Twist Hair Turban by Simplosophy - Listed Value $9

I have curly hair which means that I depend on hair turbans to get my hair dry and my curls just right. I have one turban that I bought many years ago that is my go-to, but I was excited to give this 'new to me' brand a try! This one is made of 100% microfiber, perfect for drying your hair gently and preventing frizz. I do wish that this was slightly bigger; the wrap was pretty tight after fitting my long hair in there, and the fabric is not as soft as my go-to turban. However, this one worked really well in getting my hair dry and my curls perfect! I will be adding this one to my weekly rotation!

You could have received this twist hair turban in four different colors.

Tea For Me Set by Now Designs - Listed Value $24

How adorable is this tea set?! I love that we received a tea set this month along with the loose leaf tea packet, that is some thoughtful curation! I received the cat design, but there are four other animals that you might have received. I was secretly hoping for the fox set because my son's name is Fox, but the cat is just as cute! The teapot has a removable lid that can also be used as a cup. The quality of this set is amazing, made of durable stoneware. If taken care of properly, this is a set that you can have for years to come! My kids are currently obsessed with having tea parties so I am going to be putting this set away for them when they get a bit older and I know won't break it, I'm sure they will love it as much as I do!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites by Bakeology, 1 oz - Listed Value $1.49 (Buy 3, 6 oz bags for $16.47)

I love a good sweet treat! These little bites are super crunchy, made with vanilla, sea salt, and plenty of chocolate chips. I am a sucker for a soft cookie so these weren't my favorite since they are very crunchy, but they were deliciously sweet and a great way to indulge my sweet tooth.

Moisturizing Socks and Gloves by Spa Savvy - Listed Value $12.99

Anyone else have super dry hands and feet this time of year no matter what you do?! Me too, plus my hands are in water constantly from doing dishes to changing diapers to cleaning. These were such a fun surprise and something I have never tried before. Let me tell you, I really went for it using my nicest lotion and adding some essential oil to the socks and gloves as well. I lathered up and put the socks and gloves on before heading to bed! Side note, it was nice having the gloves on because it didn't allow me to sit in bed on my phone when I should be going straight to sleep. Everything fit me perfectly and stayed on my hands and feet throughout the night. I woke to super soft skin that felt so fresh! I could see this being great to use after a pedicure to maintain the softness. An added bonus is that these are machine washable so you really can use them again and again! I can't wait to start using these all winter to hopefully keep that awful dry skin away.

Verdict: Wow, I loved this box so much! This was my first time receiving Bombay & Cedar and it was a total hit! Not only was the curation spot on, the tea and the tea set felt so thoughtful, but the quality was amazing. Each item felt like it was going to be the 'big-ticket item' but then I kept going through the box and each item kept getting better. This month's box had a total listed value of $161.48 and cost $53.90 (including shipping), which means that each of the 10 items costs an average of about $5.69. The personal care items, like the bar of soap and shampoo, were all from new brands that I loved learning more about and each smelled so delicious. My favorite item of the month would have to be the hair turban since I know I will use it again and again, but the biggest surprise for me was the tea set - I seriously can't wait to give it to my kids to use! My favorite part about the overall curation? I know I am going to use each of the items from this month's box, and if for some reason there is something I don't need, I know I can gift it to a friend and feel really good about giving someone a quality item! I will say I was surprised to see that the wireless speaker was on sale while writing the review (only $5), but I love the quality and the look of it so I know that the listed value is there. I was totally into this box this month and can't wait to see what the December box will bring! Tell me in the comments: what item from this month's box was your favorite?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first month would be the January box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $49.95 + $6.95 shipping, which means that each of the 10 items in the box has an average cost of $5.69.

It looks like this box is one MSA receives for free which is probably why there was no option to customize.
