  1. Has anyone calculated the approximate retail value of these options?

  2. I’m an ACE and I’m skipping January. Unlike so many others, I’m not a fan of Oribe. The scent is lovely, but the products do nothing for me. So, there is another box that will be available, lol! None of these boxes are speaking to me and I don’t need any of it. Saving my ten bucks plus tax.

  3. I REALLY want the Oribe. I live on East Coast and am always an early riser, so I should get in at the very start of choice. Glassy Balm is on my list of things to buy (that stuff is fabulous – smells GREAT and makes skin so soft – but I was told that the sample was minuscule, which does not make sense, as this is really a cream that you need to slather on (at least I do).

  4. I am not sure why Aces don’t get to pick first. I want the Oribe box. We don’t get too many perks for an Ace. I might start spending my money at Sephora or Ulta if they are taking this away.

    • I emailed BB and they said that it’s because of the timing of Christmas that they are not offering an ACE early selection day. I don’t buy the explanation because that indicates poor planning on their part.

  5. Ahhhh it’s a drawer box! Watch the video! Was going to swap for points up until I watched the video. Lol.

  6. I don’t remember making my choice for December’s box I haven’t received it yet but does anyone remember what the choices were? I am interested in Oribe, that stuff is expensive!! I have had a sample of the moisturizing cream and its amazing but I don’t use texturizing sprays. I love Colourpop and don’t have a highlight palette from them so I will probably try for Oribe first then go with Colourpop if its sold out. Usually Aces get to pick first, I am not an Ace, so I am glad we all have equal chances this time.

    • ACEs will still select first. The sentence above is just telling when choice will open for everyone.

      • It doesn’t say that ACES get first pick either here or on the Birchbox website.

  7. Probably box 4 for me. I will use everything and really love to try the lipstick queen. I just orange lips.

    • Just wanted to let you (so you won’t be disappointed) that it’s not actually an orange lipstick. This is one of Lipstick Queens shade shifter lipsticks. That means it changes to a different color than what you see in the tube when you put it on your lips. It will look different on everyone because the color that develops is based on your body chemistry. This particular shade is a peachy shade once it is on. I love these lipsticks and have started collecting them. It’s really cool and fun to watch them develop on your lips! I just wanted to let you know so you wouldn’t be disappointed with not receiving an actual orange lipstick. I think you will love this one though. 😊 I’m so excited to get this box so I can add another one to my collection and in full size!!! If you want to check put some other shades available from Lipstick Queen Birchbox is having a sale right now and a few of them are 50% off! ❤️

  8. Wow! Unlike everyone else who has posted here, I like *all* the options! It will be a tough choice for me this month. Actually, a couple boxes only have 1 or 2 items I really want, but I *really* want them!

  9. Box #1 will sell out first for sure.

    • Nothing interesting to me, sadly.

  10. Still no FOMO for me…

  11. Nothing really appeals to me so I’ll be skipping this month. I am glad to have the ability to skip. Would never sign up for an annual with this box as some months are really good and some I have no interest whatsoever. Kind of like Allure really

  12. Boxes 1 & 4 look good to me!

  13. Guess it’s the points swap for me. 🙁

    • I’m a brand new Ace this month and I was wondering how many points you get when you do this — 10 or 13?

      • You get whatever you pay for your monthly box. If you are paying $10 per month, then you will get $10 worth of points.

      • I think you mean $1 in points. It’s 10% cash back for regular members and 13% for aces.

      • I think I got around $9, but I’m not sure if I was an ace or not. I don’t know if it matters how much you paid per box or how they calculate?!?

      • How do you become Ace?

  14. Box 2 for me. I’m all about the self-care themed boxes they’ve done lately.

  15. Like box #3 says it comes with the too cool for school product but it’s not in the pic and box #4 has a lipstick queen lipstick in the pic but it doesnt have that included in the text that says what’s in each box. I’m just super confused about what the actual contents of each box are

    • I would go by the photos, the text was written by MSA and has errors.

      • It’s the same errors that were on birchbox’s website this morning, but I agree go with the pictures.

    • This choice is going to be hard. There’s items in each box I want to try and I really like Oribe texture spray. Looking forward to January’s box.

  16. When does choice start?

  17. Well, I’m assuming that by the time non-aces are able to pick, there’ll be next to no chance the Oribe box will still be an option, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed for it. Otherwise, this will probably be a swap for points month.

    • Unless they change it, it says that everyone will get a chance to pick a choice on Dec. 27th.

I guess that it’s because of how the holiday falls.

      • Great, at least I’ll have a fighting chance at it!

  18. The Oribe box is interesting, but I think I’ll have to go for the highlighting palette. I feel like I would get the most use out of it, and as an Ace I’m only paying ten dollars.

  19. Wow, the month my annual sub runs out a box full of oribe appears 🙁

  20. Which is the curated box option for Aces?

    • They don’t always have one.

      • Ok but it is written in the description of this page

      • That was from the December post – just updated and removed it. Sorry about that!

      • It still says there’s a 4th option for aces

      • I don’t know what the question is, but I admittedly skimmed the text. Option 1 is to choose one of the 3 samples. Option 2 is to select a Curated box. There are 4 curated boxes to choose from. Option 3 is to choose the full size product. Option 4 is to swap for points. Oh, and I guess technically there is a 5th option, which is to choose nothing and let them totally surprise you with the contents of your box.

  21. Some of the products in the boxes dont match the pictures.

    • On the website it shows the same text as MSA and these are the pictures it shows. So, MSA is going by the text not just the pictures.

      • Oh sorry MSA 🙂 I would go by the pictures either way, not the text.
