BarkBox is a reader-favorite monthly subscription box for dogs.
BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (my smaller dog weighs 12 lbs and my pug is closer to 28). We recently adopted a 50 lb standard poodle, so we might try a new size in the future!
FYI: Two of my dogs are quite old! Piper (the minpin) has to eat soft food and has trouble with hard treats. Charlie is a pug, and a glutton who will eat LITERALLY anything. They both still really enjoy toys, though it has been years since either of them managed to destroy anything.
If you have a younger pup or just one who needs toys of the rough and tumble variety, I highly recommend trying the Super Chewer subscription (read our reviews to learn more!).
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

November 2019 BarkBox "Thankstuffing" Review
Before we get started this month, I wanted to mention that Tucker and I are in Memphis, TN currently for Thanksgiving. Piper and Charlie stayed back home to keep Will company since he has to work over the holiday. But I have a special guest this month to help with this review: my mom's Boston Terrier, Lacie!
This is her very first BarkBox, and we are all really excited.
Included this month was a postcard you can send to a furry friend for a free BarkBox!
The details behind our items this month were printed inside, on the box lining.
The November box included 2 toys, 2 bags of treats, and a chew - this is close to what you can expect with your monthly subscription, though it does vary for everyone once in a while.
A lot of these items are marked as 'Sold Out' on the BarkBox app - but they have a little 'As Seen In BarkBox' section of the BarkShop where you can grab items featured in monthly themes.
Triple Stuffed Treats Rabbit Chicken Turkey Treats, 4.5 oz
I was really pleased with these treats because they are super soft, meaning Piper can indulge! I chose to take the bag of these home to her rather than leaving them with my mom for her pup. They are also on the smaller side which is great because we can be rather liberal in our house when it comes to treats.
Triple Stuffed Treats Turkey Duck Chicken Treats, 4 oz
How cute are these turkey-shaped treats?! The pups loved these. They were a little harder than the other treats this month, but still on the soft side.
Lacie was so into them she couldn't stay still! Prepare yourself for a few slightly out of focus images of overly excited dogs.
Ducken Stuffed Turkey Toy
I honestly find the concept of turducken really disgusting, but this toy is still pretty cute! Compressed, it is just an ordinary turkey-looking toy, but pull on the end and a duck head emerges with a little chicken face inside. It has loads of crinkle inside and a ball squeaker. If I can convince Lacie to give this one up, I will have to bring it home for Charlie, the crinkle king.
Both pups really liked this one. Tucker is much more gentle with toys (probably because he just recently discovered they are actually for playing with), while Lacie is a little toy monster! She had no problems pulling the duck and chicken heads out of the turkey body.
Crammedberry Sauce Toy
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I freaking love canned cranberry sauce. I actually won't touch turkey without it, Thanksgiving or any day! This clever toy has a crinkle-filled cloth "can" exterior and the inside is a clear cranberry-colored squeaky. It is seriously SO cute.
Lacie loved this toy because of the super loud squeaker inside. I really doubt that little lid will last long though.
Chicken Thinkers Stick Chew, Retail Value $3.00
Tucker really likes these. I like them because you can actually break them into pieces, which makes the fun last longer. I actually took this in the car for our road trip down and tossed him a piece whenever I felt he was getting a little listless or bored.
Verdict: BarkBox was a hit and I was so excited to bring one home to Lacie for Thanksgiving. My mom and I both came to the conclusion that she is probably a Super Chewer subscription type of gal though. She can really tear up some toys! All in all, I thought the Thanksgiving theme was so cute and the toys were creative and imaginative as usual, bringing delight to both humans and canines.
