The GlobeIn Premium Box is a monthly artisan subscription that sends you original home items created by global artisans. Each box contains handcrafted items from around the world and the stories of the artists who made the pieces.

GlobeIn offers one new theme every month. They also have 3-5 best-selling theme boxes that they restock each month. Users have from the 1st to the 10th of the month to make their theme choice. If you don't choose by that date, GlobeIn will send you a random box based on what's in stock. They do guarantee that you won't receive a duplicate theme!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

GlobeIn November 2019 "Warmth" Box Review

Each box from GlobeIn contains a booklet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside. This little booklet is almost as valuable to me as the items inside the box, because it gives background on each piece and often includes names and photos of the artisans behind them. I absolutely love knowing more about the products and the hands that crafted each item.

Time to check out our handmade goodies. Just a heads up, since there aren't prices listed in the booklet for the items, I'm going off the prices given in this GlobeIn spoilers post for items I couldn't find online. Also worth noting is that there were two box variants this month!

Assorted Animal Pillow, Kenya - Listed Value $25.00

Measurements: Assorted, approx. 11in x 7in

Materials: Natural Canvas

Our pillow is a sloth! I don't think this will go with my decor, but I have a friend who is working on the nursery for her first child and she has a cute animal theme happening that would really be perfect for this little guy. She also has a soft spot for sloths, so this is meant to be! I think the natural canvas fabric will complement her natural decor style well, and I love the idea of a gift from me being part of the decor for Louis.

Royal Mug with Lavender Bows & Arrows, Morocco - Listed Value $22.00

Measurements: 4″ D x 4.5″ H

Materials: Ceramic, lead-free paint, and 12-carat gold

Care Instructions: Food safe. Dishwasher safe, but hand-washing is recommended. NOT microwave safe. Lead-free.

Oooh, this mug is so pretty. It is a perfect oversized teacup sort of vessel, which is perfect since I always drink a big cuppa! I think the lavender design with the gold accents is very pretty indeed.

Hand-Carved Oaxacan Wooden Milk Frother, Mexico - Listed Value $12.00

Measurements: 8″, personal size

Materials: Wood

I immediately liked this little frother. Two of my friends in college were Mexican exchange students and they had something similar which they used to whisk milk into their coffee in the mornings. They would hold it between two extended hands and roll it back and forth to create a whipped effect. You can also use it as a whisk for mixing matcha with milk.

Organic Spicy Hot Cocoa Mix, 12 oz, Paraguay - Retail Value $7.50

Those two exchange students also introduced me to the magic that is spicy chocolate! Throughout the winter I would enjoy hot chocolate with chili and cinnamon around their cozy apartment table. For someone who hates spicy foods, I was shocked that I love sweet-spicy things! I enjoyed some of this mix with fresh whipped cream on top and it was full of memories and deliciousness.

The Verdict: GlobeIn felt just a little light this month. Don't get me wrong, everything was charming (as usual!) but I do think one more item might have made this curation feel more complete. The mug is beautiful, as I have really been into lavender accents lately, and the gold makes it feel so luxe! I don't plan on keeping the cute sloth, but I know exactly who I will pass it along to! The hot cocoa was delightful and nostalgic and I think the carved milk frother might have been my favorite thing since I didn't have one!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I gave up trying to love this box over a year ago. This, though, is beyond ridiculous!!

$50 for this? Unless you are hell-bent on saving the world I don’t see the value.

Adorable items and yummy looking cocoa (I really love that tray in the picture though!), but $50 is way too high.

The last box seemed so much better for the same price.
