Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson, which includes a plus size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:
- Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
- Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
- Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.
Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

The Cost: $49.95 a month. This price goes towards the cost of the outfits curated for you. The cost of outfits varies, but you’ll only be charged for what you choose to actually buy. If you want, you can choose to skip the month, and you won’t be charged. If you don’t spend your $49.95 nor choose to skip, Fabletics will charge you the $49.95 and just save it as store credit for you to use later.

I love shades of green and the same can be said for this gorgeous jade-colored sports bra. The bra is made of a shiny, spandex-like material. It has ample stretch and provides great support. The shine adds a retro-sporty vibe that I absolutely adore. The back has a mesh pocket that you can securely fit a smartphone in. I love also that this sports bra is a solid color without patterns, making it a versatile piece. You can wear this as an outfit with the matching leggings or pair it with a patterned style or solid black ones. I can attest this is helpful on laundry day, but I also enjoy mixing up pieces to show their versatility.

Fabletics leggings are my all-time favorites! I wear them not only at the gym, but when traveling and also for errands like running to the grocery store. I love these sycamore green leggings for similar reasons as I do the sports bra-- the color is stunning and both pieces are incredibly adaptable. The powerhold capris will make you feel secure and held in no matter what movements you make. You could be doing yoga or hitting the treadmill, but you will feel covered and rarely have to readjust yourself. I appreciate this especially since I have an ample behind. I never have to worry about being exposed. The only negative with this pair is that my tag and underwear lines seemed a bit more pronounced than I have noticed with other Fabletics leggings I have owned. I still love them, but this is something I will be mindful of when wearing this pair in particular.
Verdict: Fabletics continues to provide fantastic activewear-- I love this set. I love the high quality and designs that Fabletics offers time and time again. I have seen improvements with style options in their plus line, but I would like to see it become even more inclusive! My hopes for Fabletics is they offer their styles in both straight and plus sizes across the board. I want to see the same styles offered for an XS offered to my size, a 3x. I also hope they decide to expand their plus size range to a 5x or 6x. Bigger bodied people enjoy to be active and work out as well! They enjoy wearing comfortable and cute leggings too! Competitors like Lane Bryant and Torrid are aware of this and make phenomenal lines themselves, but I would love to see even more brands providing options! I want myself and my friends of all sizes to be able to wear fun activewear!
