QVC TILI x Lauren McBride August 2019 Review

A small change I noticed with this new subscription model is the info sheet has notes about the items and tips on how to use them. Before, the info sheets would usually just include the ingredients of each item.

QVC Lauren McBride pop 1 QVC Lauren McBride pop 2 QVC Lauren McBride pop 3

Pop Sonic Leaf Bud Facial Cleanser - Retail Value $19.99

This is a facial cleansing brush that is powered by a non-rechargeable battery that is non-replaceable. While I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this since it isn't very sustainable, I have been enjoying using it for a deeper clean. The anti-bacterial silicone bristles aren't too harsh on my skin, and the battery is supposed to last for 19 hours.

QVC Lauren McBride Ceo 1 QVC Lauren McBride ceo 2

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Brightening Serum, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $42.50 (Buy the 1 oz version for $85)

This is half the size of the full-size version, and it is worth more than the cost of the box- hello, hero item! I just finished my last Vitamin C Serum when this arrived, so I have been using this every morning. I like the light cream texture and that it absorbs into my skin with ease, and while it is too soon to say if it is making a difference (4-6 weeks is the typical length of time you need to see true results from Vitamin C), this doesn't irritate my skin and it layers really well with my morning routine.

QVC Lauren McBride Perricone

Perricone MD Super Greens, 3 x 0.19 oz packets - Buy 30 packets for $80

This supplement powder is made with B vitamins, 11 different vegetables, and antioxidants. The instructions suggest mixing it with plain water, but I definitely am more of an "add it to a smoothie" kind of person. I couldn't really taste it once it was blended in, but that is honestly how I prefer my supplements.

QVC Lauren McBride fizz

Fizz & Bubble Bath Fizzie in Island Coconut, 6.5 oz - Full-Size! Retail Value $6

A full-size bath bomb? Yes please! This has a dominant coconut scent with a soft touch of florals, and since I love coconut I loved this. Along with vitamin E, this also has a blend of 8 oils to help moisturize the skin, and my legs definitely felt softer when I stepped out of the tub.

QVC Lauren McBride becca 1 QVC Lauren McBride becca 2 QVC Lauren McBride becca 3

BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder in Translucent, 0.05 oz - Estimated Value $5.57 (Buy the full-size 0.35 oz version for $39)

Real talk: I loved this setting powder so much that I subscribed to the August BoxyCharm box just to get the full-size version at a discount. This gave my makeup a silky finish without looking like I had makeup caked on, and it honestly just has a lovely texture I enjoyed applying. Plus, this dispenser is by far my favorite for powders.

QVC Lauren McBride bare minerals 1 QVC Lauren McBride bare minerals 2

bareMinerals Moxie Lipgloss in Crowd Surfer, 4.5 mL - Full-Size! Retail Value $18

This is a peachy-pink lip gloss with added shimmer, and it definitely leaned more pink than peach on my fair skin. This was a heavier gloss that felt a bit sticky, so while the color is pretty I don't see myself reaching for it often.

Here it is swatched.

And here I am wearing it along with the BECCA setting powder before going out one night.

QVC Lauren McBride origins

Origins Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $3.82 (Buy the 1.7 oz version for $13)

I tried this cleanser about eight years ago and didn't like it- but I am happy to report my feelings have changed! It's creamy and foams up beautifully once you add water, and it doesn't leave the dry parts of my face feeling stripped or tight. This is a perfect match with the Pop Sonic in this box, too.

QVC Lauren McBride lavanila 1 QVC Lauren McBride lavanila 2

LAVANILA Pure Vanilla, 0.04 oz - Estimated Value. $1.13 (Buy the 1.7 oz version for $48)

This vanilla perfume is made with pure Madagascar vanilla, tonka bean, and the flower heliotrope for a creamy vanilla fragrance that I really enjoy. I like the smell of vanilla, and I usually reach for it on days I don't feel the need to wear more complex perfumes. This is free of a lot of the chemicals that can be irritating for sensitive skin, but I still thought it had good staying power.

The Verdict: The first month of the QVC subscription box model started off with a bang- this box was amazing! Along with having a great value ($96.94 by my math, for everything except the supplements), the curation was fabulous. I am always happy to see brands like Sunday Riley and Origins, and the size of that Sunday Riley serum is so generous for a $25 box. I enjoyed the bath bomb, too, but overall I think this box is a winner all around.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

This was one of my favorite boxes that I’ve ever received, and I subscribe to a lot of boxes! Just the Sunday Riley serum was easily worth the cost of the box. Really pleased. Going to keep this subscription.

You may not like the gloss that much, but the color looks great on you, as does the powder.

This is a fantastic box! I was happy to sample the Becca powder before opening my full sized one from Boxy. 🥰 it’s great and doesn’t settle into lines. The Sunday Riley is already a favorite of mine and I’m enjoying trying the new to me products
