September 2019 Nourish Beauty Box Review
Now, on to the items!
1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 Nourish Naturals Cocoa Glaze in ‘Trance’, 4 ml – Retail Value $16.00 Ok, I love this stuff. I was initially worried it was way too brown. In reality, it is like the sort of pink a pink lip addict would wear in the fall if she was trying to make brown work. If tan and pink had a super cute and totally wearable baby lippy, it would be pretty close to this. I also love that it is a gloss because I am a little matte-ed out and my lips start to get super gross and dry in the fall so I need the forgiving finish of some shine. This formula also smells really great! Though the box calls this a “stain” I found it more of a true gloss liquid lipstick. Totally glossy and totally wearable. Into my purse you go!
1 of 2 2 of 2 Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner, 2 g – Retail Value $18.00 This is a pretty straightforward black liquid eyeliner. I probably already have enough black liner to last me forever but I don’t want that to cloud my opinion here. This isn’t the fastest drying formula, but once it does dry it is water and smudge resistant. It is also a highly pigmented, classic black. The marker tip was capable of thicker or thinner lines.
1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 Wyldflower Labs Hawaiian Black Lava Salt Hair Masque, 1.8 oz – Retail Value $32.99 I wish this pot has been larger, as well as more than half full, because I thought this formula was great. I used it on wet hair, and let it sit for 10 minutes. I then used shampoo to wash it out and I loved the sheen my hair had after drying. It was both volumized as well as significantly less frizzy. Would I buy this again for $33? No way. It would need to be a lot more product for that pricepoint.
1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 Peony Cosmetics Butterfly Butter Lip Scrub, 7 ml – Retail Value $16.00 This little tube of lip scrub is cute! Formula-wise, I think it needs more sugar. There didn’t feel like enough in here to actually be an effective scrub. The salve itself is a total dream though! It is so smooth and hydrating. Even if you don’t scrub a ton when wearing this, it makes a nice quick lip mask that will be especially handy to have closeby in the cold chapped lip months. Verdict: This month’s Nourish Beauty Box has a value of $82.99 which is pretty good for a $30 box. My favorite item was by far the outstanding lipstick. I will be wearing that shade a TON this season. I also liked the hair mask, though that small size at its pricepoint is a deal-breaker in terms of me ever buying it again. The scrub was ok, and the eyeliner was fine. I just didn’t find myself excited by either. I feel like maybe with a great 5th item, this box might have felt more like a value closer to the $29.95 price. To Wrap Up: Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! The 25th of every month is the cutoff. Value Breakdown: At $29.95 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item: Alternatively, each item in this box has an average cost of $7.49. Thank you for the review! I have been wondering, though, what ‘earth activated’ means? Any ideas? Sorry if this has been explained elsewhere
Thank you for the review! I think I will purchase the lip product…Trance looks like a nice color for me I am not an overly pink person but I like pink-browns. I looked at Midsummer it was pretty too but there are no swatches, it looks plum which I like that also.
You are welcome Cindy! I really like it and I hope you do too!
I love that lip product, but not at $16 for a 4 ml container plus $8 shipping fee (ridiculous), unfortunately.

Would love this box, but not at that price. I got one of their previous boxes and the products are amazing. Money saved
