I got this box for free and I still don’t want it!

Tammy

How did you get it for free?

I can’t speak for anyone else but I got this box for free at my local Target. It was given as a free box of samples to try.

Went to Target and picked one up. Thanks MSA! I love trying new mascaras and I needed the makeup remover 🙂

I just grabbed this the other day! The coupons it has is what sold me. It has a $3 off L’oreal cosmetic product coupon, $3 Maybelline cosmetic product coupon, $2 Essie nail polish coupon, and $2 Garnier skincare product coupon. No minimum amounts or fine print it seems, just can only be used at Target.

Do you know when the coupons expire?

I typically hate getting mascara in boxes, but these are two I’d like to try. I’m excited to try everything actually! I’m going to give a couple as gifts. I have family that loves getting these, and for $5 it’s a no- brainer!

I picked one up. The mascaras and micellar water are perfect for two international trips I have coming up. I can use them and leave them. The lip color is fun and I can use the hair color to embarrass my kid.

Paula

I was thinking the same thing about the hair color! Haha!

I’m interested in the lip ink, but still not going to go for it due to the 2 mascaras that I don’t need. They have a garnier sample bag for $10 and free shipping right now as well. Maybe this is the future of target boxes, with a large company sponsor for each bag?

Oh yah that Garnier bag is horrible value! 3 of the items are the same as the $5 bag, and the $10 bag has more foil packets!

Oh come on people, you get that great make up bag with the Garnier bag. That alone must be worth $2 or $3 dollars. LOL

That bag looks like it should be a free gift when you buy x amount of products from Garnier.
What were they thinking to put a $10 price on it?

Liz

And that Garnier bag is an even worse deal! Twice the price of this Loreal box with worse items.

2 mascaras and more foil? While it’s only $5, it’s too much if you don’t even need that stuff!

Exactly. I do not use mascara (it makes my natural eyelashes heavy and drives me nuts). Any box with monthly mascara and or fake eyelashes or this one with 2 mascara, not for me.

Not cruelty free so not for me. However, way better box and value than has been.

Same here. I didn’t realize until I saw this box that NYX is a L’Oreal brand. I don’t usually buy it anyway but Ipsy does send their products from time to time. I really can’t believe these companies are still testing on animals. Ridiculous.

NYX is considered cruelty-free. L’Oreal actually owns a lot of brands that are do not test on animals, and are considered cruelty-free because L’Oreal owns them but doesn’t manage them all the same way. I know many people who avoid purchasing from any of the brands they own though since the parent company isn’t CF.

Among the cruelty-free brands they own are NYX, Carol’s Daughter, Urban Decay, and IT Cosmetics. (I thought they owned The Body Shop too, but I can’t find that online).

I don’t know, it’s not speaking to me.

At least maybe if there were no foil samples…

Well, this is better than a monthly box and cheaper. However, not for me.

I was just at Target and this box was on the shelf. Looked even less impressive in person. Two mascaras? Easy pass. Hope someone out there enjoys it though!!
