Minority here for sure but Advent calendars are supposed to be a surprise so them showing all the items is a bummer for me and wouldn’t buy because of it.

I know what happened with a SURPRISE anymore…i know most rather see what they’re getting and I get that too. But I still love the mystery and it makes it sooo much more fun opening it as well. That goes for subscription boxes more so for me even though I do understand why most wouldn’t and know that you will like and use what they’re spending $$ on.

For over $100 I’d have to see spoilers to purchase. Under $50 I can wait to see a hit or miss (hero or zero) as shark tank Lori likes to say.

I’d definitely say you are in the minority. There is not way I would spend $110 on an advent calendar without knowing what’s in it. Maybe a $15 one but this… no way.

That’s an easy fix – Don’t click on posts that say “Full Spoilers” in the heading.
Also, most people would forget all the products by December, so it may be a surprise again by the time you use it.

Chloe- LOL

Luna

That’s definitely me… I always forget all but few products that are in the calendars once I get to opening them in December. Plus, even when I do remember some of what’s in the calendar, the surprise is still not knowing what door the product is behind. 🙂

Ann

Rofl! These aren’t for me $110 worth of samples but I can see why some ppl like them.

Nat

The box itself is cute with the Eiffel Tower and pink color. That about ends my interest in this box

We’re barely into September…. why are Advent Calendars being announced now…?

I think it’s b/c most people don’t open beauty advent calendar the same say children open the chocolate ones. We are worse. We get our calendar and tear it to pieces to get to the item, savages. At least I am and there is no way I’m waiting for December and opening it day by day. I also reuse my nice advent calendar boxes and put the beauty items I didn’t want and re-gift.

No, it’s not – It’s Thanksgiving season! 🙂

Halloween decorations started appearing in August in my neck of the woods and now we are into Thanksgiving. In another week or two, it will be Christmas.

The dilemma is always whether to get these now or chance them going on sale closer to the holiday.

Luna

Advent calendars have always been announced in September (at least for the past few years since I’ve known about them). And actually this year they started being spoiled in August! Maybe it’s so people can start saving their pennies for any they want… and also so the companies can get your holiday $$$ before anyone else does. 😉

I get most of these items as GWPs from Ulta so it’s gonna be a pass for me. Also, I don’t use nail polish if that’s what the laquer is….. Hey, you never know these days if it’s a polish, lipstick, or even a blinding highlighter lol I literally have about 20 little bottles of genifique serums right now that I can never get too. I think I should list them lol

For being such an expensive box you’d think they stay away from the perforated advent calendars. I would expect drawers. Those Lacquer’s look like something you’d see in a little girls play makeup set. LOL. I do like Lancome but will pass on this calendar. Look Fantastic looks pretty interesting to me and so does The Body Shop’s.
