JustFab Subscription Box Review – September 2019

JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways – you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
  • Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique.
  • Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Inside my package were a few inserts and coupons for the Smile Direct Club and Hello Fresh. You can learn more about Hello Fresh right here.

Tort Bracelet – Retail Value $12.95, VIP Price $6.95

I was just browsing through some sale items and this bracelet caught my eye. I loved the combination of the gold and that simple tortoiseshell bar. It definitely looks a little bit different in person, but considering I only paid $3.27 for it with sale prices, I am pretty happy with it!

Here it is on. It’s very comfortable and I like it a lot, but I just wish that the pieces where the bar attaches weren’t so large and clunky! It takes away from the more delicate look I was hoping it would have.

Classic Utility Jacket in Pink Mauve – Retail Value $76.95, VIP Price $39.95

I love a good utility jacket and this pink one was a fun and unique one to me. I usually opt for more neutral colors for my outerwear, but this one was calling to me and for $19.97 on sale, I felt like it was a worthwhile purchase! It is a bit on the thinner side, not super warm or heavy, and for that reason, I think the retail price is quite inflated for what it is, but the VIP and sale prices are much more reasonable!

I was surprised to see that it had no zipper, but only concealed snaps on the front. It has faux pockets with snaps at the breast and then real pockets with snaps at the waist. The waist also cinches with a tie for a more fitted look. This is the perfect fall jacket for me. I can layer it on colder days, but I imagine I will use it mostly for those in-between days when it’s cooler in the mornings and evenings and warm in the middle of the day.

Easy Come Easy Go Hobo Bag – Retail Value $59.95, VIP Price $29.95 (currently on sale for $20!)

I have been on the hunt for a slouchy brown bag for fall and even though it worries me purchasing them online since I can’t touch them, I took a chance since it was only $14.97 on sale. I am pretty happy with this bag even though the material is a little stiffer and less slouchy than my dream bag that I’ve designed in my head. It seems to be well made and I like the gold hardware with the beautiful cognac color.  It is not too big, but just big enough to hold everything I need when I’m out and about with my family.

I love that this purse still looks slim but has three separate sections. There is a wider zippered section in the center and then on either side are two more narrow pockets that close with a snap in the center. One side pocket features a smaller zipper pocket and the other side pocket has a little open pocket so it’s a great purse for organizing all of your essentials.

Here it is on. It fits nicely over my shoulder, although I could stand the strap to be a tad longer, and since it has two straps, one always seems to fall down on me every so often. Other than that, it’s a great purse and I am happy to have found the perfect fall purse for myself!

The Verdict: In the past, I have used Just Fab almost exclusively for shoes so I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to their clothing and handbags, but I was not disappointed! I was happy with the quality and for the sale prices, I really think I scored a good deal. My total with sale prices came to $45.67 (including $4.95 shipping) which I think is pretty decent for a nice purse, a jacket, and a bracelet!

                    To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All pieces are still available.

Value Breakdown: The total retail value for all three pieces is $149.85, and the VIP price is $76.85. That’s a discount of 49%. With sale prices, I only paid $45.67 which is a 70% discount!

                    1. I bought that jacket in green last year and wear it out in the field during the fall in my conservation work. I figured it wouldn’t hold up, but it has. Still looks good a year later.

                    2. Love the jacket! The purse is really nice, too, and looks like a good size for everyday use. I’d just prefer a longer strap for myself.

                      Great review!

                      • Thanks for reading, Nan! 🙂

                    3. That jacket is so cute!!! And what a great buy at the sale price!! Looks great on you!!

                      • Thanks so much, Heather! 🙂
