For those of you wondering whether to bite on this now, historically 30% off is about as good as it gets!
I have one month left (Oct) on my annual sub, and was contemplating purchasing a new 12-month sub with this offer. I contacted Glossybox for clarification and determined the following:
1. The offer is definately not working for gift subscriptions at this time
2. If you have an ACTIVE subscription already and place a new order under the same account, you WILL RECEIVE DUPLICATE BOXES for any overlapping months starting with the October box.
3. Official spoilers are not out, but they said there should be a body was, face exfoliation wash, contouring or shadow palette as well as a few additional items in the October box.
***Note that if you are a current subscriber and do want to take advantage of the offer in the same account, you should call Glossybox and request to turn off Auto-renew on at least your current sub! If you don’t, aside from receiving DUPLICATE BOXES for the overlap…your initial subscription will charge again when it completes and you will keep getting duplicates.
I considered turning off auto-renew on my current sub and waiting for a Black Friday offer. The Glossybox rep said she was unaware of What this year’s offer would be, but historically (since 2013) it has been no more than 25% on a subscription.
For those reasons, I’ve had them turn off auto-renew on my old sub and am taking advantage of this before the 30% expires. I’ll only get one box overlap which I can live with. For those with a longer overlap period it might make more sense to create a new subscription with a different email address.
Hope this helps those of you on the fence. Crossing fingers that they don’t offer a better deal this year for Black Friday that they have historically!
