Wantable Style Edit July 2019 Review
When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice for the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $400. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $100. That’s a deep discount!
Ox Chain Tassel Necklace by Didi Jewelry Project – Cost to Keep $45
This is such a cute necklace! I love it! It’s a good length and slips over the head without opening the clasp. The mixed metal tassel is really cool looking, too. It’s definitely something I would wear often. This is a keeper!
Perrin Top by Lemon Tart – Cost to Keep $58
$58 is a little steep for a tee, but this is an especially nice tee. It has an open, dolman cut, and the knit blend feels really soft and high quality. I also think the seam down the front and back is a stylish detail. I think I need to keep this, too!
Thompson Distressed Tomboy Jeans by Vigoss – Cost to Keep $84
Vigoss Jeans has become one of my favorite brands for jeans, so these are an easy win for me. These are ankle jeans for people who have longer legs, haha! So they are the perfect length for me. I love the distressing! The wash is also good. The main reason I love Vigoss, though, is the fit. They fit my shape to a tee, they are supportive, and they have the perfect amount of stretch. They’re just awesome!
Lace Up V-Neck Tee by Rebel Wilson – Cost to Keep $45
I am such a fan of Rebel Wilson, but the clothes in her clothing line just don’t look good on me. I don’t know why! The idea behind this tee is great – I think the lacing in the front is particularly cute. I don’t look good in light gray, though, and the shape is just wrong for me. This is a thicker cotton blend knit, almost like a sweatshirt, but not so thick that it doesn’t hang properly. I just don’t like the way it looks on me.
Camo Tee by Lucky Brand – Cost to Keep $40
I have said many times in my reviews, and I will say it again, I love Lucky Brand! The main reason I love the brand is that it aligns perfectly with my style, and I think most of their pieces are just beautiful. The other, and just as important reason, is that the cut of their clothing is perfect for my shape. This is a simple cotton tee, but the shape is just perfect. Plus, I love a good camo tee! This is a keeper!
3/4 Sleeve Placed Floral Tee by Lucky Brand – Cost to Keep $39
It’s a little early for longer sleeves, but since it’s another piece by Lucky Brand… I think I might have to keep it! The color and the unusual floral print are just my style. The neckline is also awesome and proves that a crew neck does not have to be a choker. I like it a lot!
3/4 Printed Sharkbite Dress by Love & Legend – Cost to Keep $89
The minute I saw myself in this dress, the theme song from “Little House on the Prairie” started running through my head. Right? This is a really well-made dress with a lovely print and lots of stylish details. The synthetic blend fabric feels very sturdy, too. This just looks really bad on me. It’s a bad length for me, and the color palette just sucks the color out of my face. I think it would look great on the right person, but it’s just not good for me.
The Verdict: I really like Wantable Style Edit! This month was pretty typical in terms of the hits-to-misses ratio, but I love the camo tee and the jeans! I know I will get lots of use out of both this summer. The other thing I really love about Wantable is that they send seven pieces, and I appreciate the variety and options.
