Pura Vida Jewelry Club “The Constellation Set” August 2019 Review

One thing I enjoy about Pura Vida is that they always send some nice stickers with their jewelry. The designs are really fun and they always come packaged inside this foldout card that shares their story and details how they give back. They create over 200 full-time jobs for artisans worldwide!

Your jewelry will arrive in this nice sturdy box with a magnetic closure that would be perfect for gifting. Inside is some fun tropical tissue paper that makes for such a nice presentation! The card on top of our tissue paper welcomes us to the club and reminds us how our exclusive jewelry is only available to club members.

Just a note: This card states that the value will be up to $50, while their website lists it as being up to $65. This is a little confusing, and also could be misleading since the higher value is listed on their website, but after a quick (and easy) chat with customer service they confirmed that the $65 value is correct. Hopefully, they correct these cards soon!

Inside the box were two little dust bags, one for each piece of jewelry. These are a bit different than the ones that come in their bracelet club pack. These are a little smoother and sleeker in my opinion.

Crystal Wrap Ring – Estimated Value $20 (Based on similar rings in their shop)

The first piece in our Constellation Set is this fun and beautiful ring. The ring itself is one long thin spiral that is really lightweight on my finger and gives it a bit of a whimsical feel. It features a small circular crystal at one end and a beautiful teardrop crystal at the other end which I think work well to balance out the whimsy with more of an elegant look. The crystals are both multifaceted and sparkle nicely when the light hits them!

I like wearing the ring with the larger crystal at the top. I’ve been wearing it for a little over 24 hours now and it hasn’t really gotten caught on anything, which I’m surprised about given the open shape. It really is such a pretty design and so comfortable despite having a fairly large shape overall.

Crystal Ear Wrap Earrings

The earrings that came in this set are so unique! I didn’t even provide an estimated value for them since there are no comparable earrings in their shop. These were also pretty hard to get a decent photo of, but hopefully, you can see how dainty and pretty they are!

These earrings are actually like two in one because the tiny crystal stud can be worn separately or you can choose to hang the teardrop crystal from the back of your earlobe to form the “wrap” style. I don’t have anything like these and again, I feel like the wrap style adds some whimsy to these while the teardrop and tiny crystal keep them looking like classic beauties!

Here I have the earrings on both ways. I love that I have these tiny crystal studs for simple days and the fun wrap style to add a bit more flair when I’m in the mood! These were comfortable to wear as well! I even slept in them to test them out and I have no complaints!

Here you can see that the crystals are about the same size in each piece and how well they complement one another!

Here are the two pieces together. Such a pretty bit of sparkle!

The Verdict: This crystal “Constellation” set from Pura Vida Jewelry Club is such a pretty one! I love the teardrop crystal shapes and I especially love that the earrings can be worn as simple studs or in that fun wrap style. Each month this subscription delivers quality jewelry that I enjoy and the styles seem to be pretty modest with a simple aesthetic that makes them feel pretty universal. While I know some people are picky about their metals, they do seem to switch back and forth each month between silver and gold (or rose gold) and I’ve found that I’m actually becoming more open to silver myself! I’ve been pretty happy (and excited) to see what comes in my pack each month and it always feels like a great value for a $19.95/month box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of now, it looks like this pack is still available!  From Pura Vida:

Orders ship within 4-5 days of purchase. Your card will be charged $19.95 + tax on the 7th of each month, and your pack will arrive around the 15th.

Value Breakdown: At $19.95 for this box, you’re paying about $9.98 for each piece.

  1. Am I seeing things or is there a stud earring poking out from the green wall to the immediate left of the tip of Brandi’s nose in the last photo?? Lol.

    • 😂 That would be a nail sticking out from where we used to have a garden thermometer hanging! But some stud earrings might make some fun and unique art for our back porch! lol

  2. Another really pretty set. I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of these pieces. I’m taking a break for a few months to save some dough, but I know I’ll resub at some point.

  3. I won’t be doing business with this company, I still have a partial order sitting from the last black friday sale, almost a year later…NO response to any of my emails and my credit card won’t refund it because part of the order shipped, and now it’s just been too long. Serious joke though that they won’t even respond to my emails. When even in my account on their site It is still showing my partial unfulfilled order. These pieces look terrible anyways, the fake diamond just instantly says cheap dollar store junk.

    • My thoughts exactly — the fake, cheap stone is so unbelievably tacky and ruins the entire piece. It would look so much better if it were all silver instead. Surprised pura vida would even make a piece this ugly, lol.
