PinkSeoul Mask June 2019 Review

A’Pieu Everyday Sun Gel 50+, 30ml – Retail Value $14.95
Along with SPF 50, this provides protection against UVA/UVB rays and it's made with the extracts of 10 different fruits. It has a slightly tropical scent in addition to the traditional sunscreen scent, but it rubs in easily and felt lightweight on my skin. I have been using this frequently since I also received it in a prior PinkSeoul Plus box, and I am happy with how it performs on its own or under my BB cream.
Peripera Smoothie Time Mask in Lime – Retail Value $3
This mask has fun and attractive packaging, but I thought the actual performance was a bit lackluster. While there was nothing particularly wrong about it, it didn’t really impress me. It added the standard boost of hydration all sheet masks provide, and that is about it. I also received this mask in the January 2019 PinkSeoul Mask box.

These wrapping masks have foil on one side and essence on the other, and the foil is especially metallic- no complaints here. This is a two-part mask so I was able to get a good fit, and both were hydrating and nourishing without leaving me sticky.

These masks had a thicker jelly essence than your regular sheet mask, and they fit my face well. I thought each one added a good boost of moisture to my skin, and they were cooling to wear (which I absolutely love).

Berrisom Cocktail Recipe Mask in Peach Crush - Listed Value $4
These masks are fragranced to smell like the cocktail they were inspired by, but the scent faded quickly. I like wearing my face masks for longer than the 15 or so recommended minutes, and I thought these dried out a bit quickly for that purpose.
VT Probiotics Mask - Listed Value $6 (Buy ten for $38)
Probiotic sheet masks, while not new to me, are rather uncommon. I had the same experience with this one as I did the other probiotic masks I have tried- my skin was hydrated and glowing after wearing!
Mediheal BTS BT21 Face Point Mask - Retail Value $5.50, Listed Value $3
I was not prepared for how adorable this mask would be- it is a slice mask rather than your typical sheet mask, and the slices are the popular character RJ from Line Friends. I didn't really know anything about that, but after sharing a picture of me wearing these slices to my Instagram stories, one of my friends quickly educated me. Mediheal is a very popular K-Beauty brand in Korea, and mega-pop group BTS has a sheet mask collaboration with them. Each BTS band member has a character with Line Friends, and apparently, this mask is a hot commodity because when my friend took her daughter to a large K-Pop store in Houston, these masks were nowhere to be found.
The Verdict: PinkSeoul is a mask subscription I have realized that I can constantly rely on to provide a good assortment of sheet masks with a variety of textures and ingredients. This box is on the pricier end for sheet masks, but the value is consistently about $20 (or more) above the cost of the box, and I almost always find a new mask I love every month. I calculated a total value of $57.45 for the items in this month’s box, which I think is fair.
