Orglamix July 2019 “Wildflowers” Box Review
This month’s theme is “Wildflowers.” Let’s see how Orglamix incorporated that theme into the month’s items:
The box came with an information card detailing the items and theme for July. It sometimes also lists ingredients, which is nice since these items aren’t typically available in their online shop.
Rose Geranium Facial Cleanser – Listed Value $14
This is more of a cleansing milk type of product, somewhat similar to the one from the last Rose Post Box. As such, it works better as a “first thing in the morning” cleanser (as opposed to a makeup remover). It was non-drying, as well, and rinsed off without leaving residue.
Sugared Violets Perfume Oil – Listed Value $16
Fragrance oils are an Orglamix mainstay but this is the first we’ve received in a few months. It has a really sugary smell but that is actually OK by me as I am a fan of fragrances like Prada Candy and Aquolina Pink Sugar and this has some notes that remind me of those.
Orange Blossom Hair Serum – Listed Value $15
My hair is pretty dry and the Georgia humidity has it super frizzy right now and I just spent like $150 on hair products at Ulta (during a sale so I actually got a lot) trying to find something that would work to cut frizz. I am still working my way through those products but took a break to test this one out. My hair absorbed this rather than getting smoothed by it so I will probably just use the rest as a leave-in conditioner as it did sort of soften things up a bit.
Aster Natural Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12.50
Another Orglamix mainstay is the loose mineral eyeshadow. These are usually colors that are custom-blended for the subscription and can’t be bought from their shop, which is a fun benefit. Anyway, this is a great color for me. I find that these are quite blendable over an appropriate primer and that they don’t irritate my eyes, and I am a fan.
Larkspur Lip + Cheek Gelee – Listed Value $18
The swatch you see below is actually several passes and although I am pale, this would probably work as a cheek color if I applied sparingly. (My bracelets had been pressing into my arm so my skin looks a little weird. And bonus kitty photobomb.) I usually take products like this and make a decision to use them for either lips or cheeks but not both. I am leaning towards this being a cheek color because it is not too bold when applied sparingly and I kind of don’t like applying lip products (especially colored ones) with my fingers, although that is totally a personal preference.

Packet of Wildflower Seeds
This is just a bonus item not listed on the information card. It is the end of July in Georgia now and probably too late to plant these for this year so I’ll save them for next spring.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $75.50 for the July Orglamix subscription box. The items this month were all exclusive for this box, so I had to rely on the information card. The values seem less inflated this month than in some past months, and I can find uses for all of the products. I particularly like the perfume oil, this time around, but I thought the overall variety of items was also good.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, this was July’s box and they say they ship around the 10th (in practice, it may be a week or two after that before the box actually ships, although this month’s box was received somewhat later than usual). You’d probably get the August box as your first one.
