Dia Active Plus Subscription Box Review – July 2019
Dia Active is an activewear styling service that caters to women plus sizes 14 and up. Upon enrolling with Dia Active, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, style, price range, and what activities and/or sports I partake in. For $20, a Dia Active stylist selects five curated pieces sent directly to me! I am able to try them on at the convenience of my own home and only pay for pieces I decide to keep! The $20 styling fee is applied to whatever I do keep, but if I keep the entire box 25% is taken off as well!
The items in my box are chosen personally for me and reflect my style and price preferences, so the package you receive from Dia Active may be entirely different than mine!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Dia & Co Active Box July 2019 Review
This note from my stylist was included. She explains why she picked some of the items she chose for me.
Also included was this invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, and color of each item she selected for me. This box was complimentary, so the prices have been removed, but I listed the retail value below next to each item. If the prices were on the invoice, it would also show the total for all five items, the $20 credit for the styling fee, and the 25% discount if I decide to keep all five items.
Asher Long Sleeve Tee with Cutout Back by Marika – Cost to Keep $38
What a funky tee! It’s a slinky synthetic blend that has a little shine to it. The cutout back would definitely show off a cool sports bra, too. I like the cut as well. I just can’t stress enough that I will never, ever wear long sleeves in July and August in Georgia. I just have to decide if I like it enough to hold on to it until October…
Rush Skort by ActiveZone – Cost to Keep $49
I actually received this same skirt in the same color from both Dia and Wantable Fitness on almost the exact same day! How funny! That just shows that both boxes “get me,” because I love it! It’s so funky and unusual, and much different from anything I usually wear. It’s a woven synthetic material, which means it has no stretch, and it has built-in shorts. I like the color a lot, and I love the mesh-lined pleats! It’s so cute!
Sequoia Tee with Mesh Back by ActiveZone – Cost to Keep $34
This is a pretty tee shirt. I like the color a lot! I think the layered, open back is pretty stylish, too. I don’t know if it is super practical for workouts, I have a fear that tops like this will fly open and expose me, but it’s definitely cute. It’s also a synthetic fabric blend, and I prefer natural fibers in my workout tops, but this one has a more natural feel to it.
Ainslie Capri Tights with Mesh Detail by ActiveZone – Cost to Keep $49
These leggings are awesome! The mesh inserts at the cuffs make them more interesting than just plain black leggings, but the black makes them a bit slimming. They have great compression, too. I think capri is a misnomer, even taking into account that my legs are kind of short, but ankle leggings are just as good.
Cicely Short Sleeve Tee by ActiveZone – Cost to Keep $34
Even though this tee is a natural fiber blend, it is actually my least favorite piece in the box. It is just a bad cut for me. I like the color a lot, but I don’t much like the print or the print placement. It has a nice open neckline, but otherwise it is generally unflattering on me.
Verdict: Dia Active is fantastic! This month there was a mixture of hits and misses, but three of the five pieces were solid hits, so that’s not bad. I love the skort! The leggings are really great, too. I think what makes Dia stand out above other styling boxes, in my experience, is that they really listen to my feedback and try to pick out items that I will really love. And they usually succeed!

Value Breakdown: This box has a $20 styling fee and includes free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $204. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 styling fee for the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $133 for the whole box. That’s a discount of about 35%. That’s a great deal!
