Here is the info sheet for the box.

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Samantha Top

On the back is a note that my pouch was prepared by Samantha, along with an explanation for a typo on the info sheet. There was a lot of overlap between the Sooni Mini Pouch and the Sooni Pouch this month. First up, let’s look at all of the items that came in both boxes:

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Nature Republic Aloe Mist Front

Nature Republic Aloe Mist, 150ml - Full-Size! Retail Value $7.90

This is a bold statement Cotton, but this is actually the best face mist I have ever used that retails for under $10. The nozzle gives out a very fine mist that feels like my face is being gently hugged by a cloud, and it was instantly soothing to my skin. I enjoyed using it so much that I layered it underneath each step of my morning routine just to add moisture and enjoy the experience, and while it isn’t as thick as what you would think of for a gel, the texture is slightly thicker than a regular mist.

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Tony Moly PikyBiky Art Pop Enamel Tint in 04 Catch It 1 TopSooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Tony Moly PikyBiky Art Pop Enamel Tint in 04 Catch It 2 Open Top

TONYMOLY PikyBiky Art Pop Enamel Tint in 04 Catch It, Full-Size! - Retail Value $7.50

This lip tint took some playing around for me to experience its true potential. When you first apply it, it almost looks as if it could be a full-coverage lip cream, but it smears easily and can go on splotchy. My way of using it is to apply a thick layer, let it sit for a few minutes, and then dab it off gently until no more comes off. I am left with that “I just ate a cherry popsicle” lip stain that will last for hours!

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Selfie Front

Here I am in the law library taking a selfie break while studying for the bar exam. This was taken a few hours after applying, and I like the natural look. I would make sure to exfoliate your lips before wearing, though, because this can get stuck on chapped lips and make them more noticeable.

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition Toner Front

It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition Toner, 5 mL x 2 – Estimated Value $1 (Buy the full-size version for $15)

I'm never impressed when I see denatured alcohol high up on an ingredients list, but usually, that is because when that occurs it is higher up than the star ingredients. Not the case here, where hydrolyzed collagen is the second ingredient and coming before the alcohol. Since ingredients are listed in the order of the concentration in the formula (and usually the first five are the most important), I try to pay attention to the ingredients list before I apply products to my skin. I found this to be hydrating and non-sticky, and it layered well in my routine.

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition Emulsion Front

It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition Emulsion, 5 mL x 2 – Estimated Value $1 (buy the full-size version for $15)

Emulsions are essentially ultra-lightweight moisturizers that you can apply before a cream moisturizer or as your last step, depending on if it is morning or evening and your skin type. I liked using this as a hydrating layer between my serum and regular moisturizer because my skin has been pretty dry lately, but if you have oilier skin try using an emulsion in the mornings instead of a full moisturizer (but make sure to apply sunscreen after!).

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - It’s Skin Pearl Glitter Essential Mask Top

It’s Skin Pearl Glitter Essential Mask – Estimated Value $3

This mask is made with pearl extract, and while it didn’t leave me glittery (as the name would suggest), it did leave me glowing! It fit my face well, and while it did leave my skin feeling a bit tacky, following up with a moisturizer took care of that.

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Nature Republic Real Comforting Mask in Madecassoside Top

Nature Republic Real Comforting Mask in Madecassoside – Retail Value $1.90

I just got to try this line of masks from Nature Republic in my May Pink Seoul Mask box, and actually said in that review I hoped to try the madecassoside version of this mask. You can imagine my pleasant surprise when I saw this looking at me when I opened the box. Madecassoside is derived from Centella, which is an ingredient my skin absolutely adores because it is nourishing, soothing, and great for sensitive or irritated skin. Even when my skin isn't being temperamental, I still like reaching for products with Centella because it just makes my face happy. This sheet mask fit well, soothed a few pimples I had along my jawline, and didn't drip down my neck while being moist enough that I could wear this for over twenty minutes. Wins all around, and you can’t really beat the price.

Now let’s take a look at the items that came only in the Sooni Pouch Box!

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Etude House One Shot Clean Mascara Remover Front

Etude House One Shot Clean Mascara Remover, 2.70 oz – Retail Value $5.20

Etude House is pretty well-known for the extra cutesy packaging, and I have had good results with most of the products from them I have tried, too. This mascara remover did a great job- I didn’t feel like I had to tug on my lashes to get my mascara off, and it didn’t irritate my sensitive eyes or leave my face feeling greasy. Since this is so effective, I don’t need a ton, which means this bottle will last me a while!

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Yedam Yunbit Prime Luxury Gold Emulsion Box FrontSooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Yedam Yunbit Prime Luxury Gold Emulsion Front

Yedam Yunbit Prime Luxury Gold Emulsion - Full-Size! Estimated Value $35

Yedam Yunbit is a brand I can never find online, but I have enjoyed all of the products I have tried from the brand. This lightweight emulsion is infused with royal jelly extract (an awesome skincare ingredient), plant placenta, and gold extract, and this really does feel like a luxurious product from both the packaging and ingredients list. I used this in place of a heavier moisturizer on a recent hot and humid day, and I am happy that it was so lightweight on my skin while being nourishing. Since I couldn’t find the value online, I made a conservative estimate based on my K-beauty knowledge and other K-beauty serums I have tried in the past (this very well could be worth more, though I doubt it would be worth less).

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - Tony Moly Foot Peeling Shoes Top

TONYMOLY Foot Peeling Shoes – Retail Value $6.50

Getting two TONYMOLY products in this box (and not discontinued products, either) feels like a real treat- and I am always happy to get more peeling shoes for my feet! You wear these for about an hour and it takes a few days before your feet start to peel, but these are a good way to exfoliate your feet and help them feel smooth. My feet never peel a ton when I use masks like these, but I like the pampering regardless.

Sooni Pouch June 2019 Review - 3W Clinic Essential Up Snail Sheet Mask Top

3W Clinic Essential Up Snail Sheet Mask – Retail Value $2.50

This is a solid sheet mask that was really nourishing to my skin. If you have dry skin but have stayed away from trying out snail products, I really recommend grabbing a snail sheet mask as a way to dip your toes into the hydrating world snail products have to offer.

The Verdict: I thought this month’s box from Sooni Pouch featured a good assortment of well-known brands (TONYMOLY, Nature Republic, Etude House) as well as trendy products (lip tints, peeling foot shoes), and I thought all of the items were of good quality. I think Sooni Pouch needs to reconsider their promises though- it is hard to say that this box meets the $100 promised value (my estimates for everything add up to $71.50, but keep in mind to take that with a grain of salt), but I think if there wasn’t a value promise I would be happier with this box, because the curation was pretty good.
