PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - Info Card Front

Here is the info sheet for this month’s box.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - From Nature Biosystem Embossing Cotton Pads Top PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - From Nature Biosystem Embossing Cotton Pads Open Top

From Nature Biosystem Embossing Cotton Pads – Retail Value $5

These may be basic, but wow, do I hate paying for things like cotton pads, so I am always happy to see functional items like this in subscription boxes. They are 100% cotton with embossed sides, and they’re soft.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - The Saem Saemmul Browcara Front

The Saem Saemmul Browcara – Retail Value $8 (found here for $6.99)

I love a good brow gel, and while this wasn’t my favorite it wasn’t bad. It has a lot of pigment on the brush, so I applied a tiny bit and then used a different eyebrow brush to distribute it evenly through my brows for more definition and a light hold.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - Holika Holika Green Tea Hydro Gel Mask Top

Holika Holika Green Tea Hydro Gel Mask – Retail Value $8

I will happily take ALL of the hydrogel masks- they always feel so soothing and lovely on my skin, and that is before I stick them in the fridge. Green tea is the star ingredient, though it does have other botanicals, and my skin felt plump and happy after wearing.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - A’Pieu Hamamelis Sheet Mask Top

A’Pieu Hamamelis Sheet Mask – Retail Value $4

I had no idea what Hamamelis was and thought it was a fancy new ingredient- but nah, its just witch hazel. Witch hazel is great for oily skin and pores, but this mask is also gentle thanks to nourishing botanicals like sage, sesame, and rice extract. This also has peptides in the ingredients list, and overall for $4 I thought this was a powerhouse of a sheet mask- perfect for these humid summer days.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Jelly Sheet Mask Top

Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Jelly Sheet Mask – Retail Value $4

Full Stop, this I one of the best sheet masks I have ever used. When you look at the number of sheet masks I try on a regular basis, they kind of start to run together- but this one stood out. Not only is the ingredients list absolutely spectacular and full of skin-soothers, but this also left my skin noticeably softer once I was done wearing it. I don't really know why they call this a gel mask when the serum was the same texture as a regular sheet mask, but the mask itself was thin and hugged the contours of my face with ease while also being slightly stretchy so I could get the perfect fit.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - A’Pieu Pore Deep Clear Black Charcoal Mask Top

A’Pieu Pore Deep Clear Black Charcoal Mask – Listed Value $4

This sheet mask was alright- it wasn’t bad, but nothing about it made me feel like I needed to get my hands on another one. It actually is a black mask instead of the typical white, and even though it is made with charcoal and designed to help with oil control, my skin still felt hydrated after wearing. This also had a ton of essence that dripped down my neck while I wore this, which isn’t my favorite.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - Holika Holika Superfood Capsules Top

Holika Holika Superfood Capsule Pack in Blackberry – Retail Value $5.50

Holika Holika Superfood Capsule Pack in Lentils – Retail Value $5.50

Holika Holika Superfood Capsule Pack in Peppermint – Retail Value $5.50

I love getting non-sheet masks in this subscription, and these little capsules are perfect for masking while traveling. The blackberry version is a brightening sleeping mask, the lentils version is firming sleeping mask, and the peppermint is a soothing wash-off mask. I had a traumatic incident in my first semester of law school that involved lentils and a final exam, so I haven’t been able to bring myself to pop that one open yet- but the peppermint one was soothing and refreshing, perfect after being outside on a hot day.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - Nature Republic Real Comforting Sheet Mask Top

Nature Republic Real Comforting Sheet Mask in Tea Tree – Retail Value $2

Nature Republic Real Comforting Sheet Mask in AHA/BHA – Retail Value $2

These are really good sheet masks for the price. I was happy with the amount of essence and the fit of the sheet masks themselves, and I hope I get to try the ceramide and madecassoside (two ingredients my skin loves!) versions in the future.

PinkSeoul Mask May 2019 - Nature Republic Around The Nature Mask In Deep Sea Water Top

Nature Republic Around The Nature Mask in Deep Sea Water – Retail Value $2

This was another good mask for the price. This had saltwater in the ingredients, but it did really hydrate my skin and make it plump and happy after wearing. This fit my face well, and it didn’t drip down my neck (which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine).

The Verdict: PinkSeoul is a mask subscription I have realized that I can constantly rely on to provide a good assortment of sheet masks with a variety of textures and ingredients. This box is on the pricier end for sheet masks, but the value is consistently about $20 (or more) above the cost of the box, and I almost always find a new mask I love every month. I calculated a total value of $55.50 for the items in this month’s box, which I think is fair.

Jessica, not sure if you know, but Holika Holika makes a bottle of pure Aloe Vera gel that’s shown in the photo of the sheet mask wrapper! 😉

It’s SUPER soothing for face and body and until I used all mine, was one of my few go-to home first aid type soothing products for a mosquito bite or a day of too much sun. ( I live one state over from you, so I know intense heat 9 months per year, it seems).

You should be able to find the huge bottle of Aloe gel by the company easily in a search engine search. I just talked myself into buying more.

I had a bad experience with a sheet mask getting an irritant into my eyes so I’m totally skipping them from now on, but I did order the Pink Seoul Plus box because I liked the brands they sourced for this group of sheet masks.

Thanks for the great review. 😉

Is it me or are there two masks missing from the review? The charcoal & aloe masks. I noticed only because I’m actually interested in feedback regarding the aloe Holika Holika mask. We’re they omitted intentionally?

Great review! Thanks!!

Hi A. M.
Thanks for pointing that out! They weren’t left out intentionally- I reached out to try and get it sorted out. The Holika Holika aloe mask is one of the best masks I have ever used!

Ms. Jessica, you are the bee’s knees for replying & giving your feedback on that! I actually see the full-size version (which is HUGE) quite often at TJ Maxx for a very reasonable price. I’ll definitely pick it up next time I’m there.
Thank you!!!
