July 2019 Nourish Beauty Box Review
Now, on to the items!
Nourish Naturals Safflower Shimmer in ‘Pagoda‘, 4 ml – Retail Value $16.00
I didn’t love this formula on my lips as much as I did in the tube. It ended up looking way too frosted for my taste, though I know that ’90s trend has made a huge comeback! It has a really nice scent and the texture was pretty smooth, especially for the amount of shimmer.
I think I just need a little more color!
Seraphine Botanicals Cherry Rose + Nectar Serum, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $54.00
This oil is a sight to behold! The gorgeous pink color in the clean glass bottle would look good on any vanity! Aside from the aesthetics, I really loved the serum. It has so many oils that are nourishing for your skin, and a gorgeous scent that is mainly geranium to my nose, with a little citrus. Geranium leans a little rosy to most sniffers, but this doesn’t smell mature at all. The fragrance is strong though, so if you prefer something a little milder, try diluting this with some coconut oil!
Wyldflower Labs – Pink Tea Tree Gel, 25 ml – Retail Value $11.99 (currently sold out)
I am super duper blessed in that I don’t really break out anymore and haven’t for a very long time. If I do get a zit, it is usually one of those super awful deep ones that just look terrible and hurt. I plan on stashing this tea tree oil serum aside for the next time I get an unwelcome visit from one of those. Along with tea tree oil, this serum has AHAs and salicylic acids to help minimize the effects of those unwanted bumps.
La Bloom Lash & Brow Serum, 50 ml – Retail Value $25.00
Ooooh, this piqued my interest right away! I have seen a few eyelash growth serums in boxes but this is the first that is focused more on the health of your eyebrows and eyelashes that purely on growth and length. I would assume that healthier brows and lashes would mean longer and thicker hair, right? I like this more holistic approach! Although this lavender-infused serum is a little too oily/shiny for daytime use, it has quickly become a part of my nighttime routine. I have only been using it for a few days but immediately my lashes look healthier in the morning and my mascara goes on much more smoothly.
Verdict: This month’s Nourish Beauty Box has a value of $106.99 which is great for a $29.95 box. I absolutely loved the serum and I would easily crown that the champion of my box this month, though that lash serum would be a mighty close second. The lip gloss wasn’t exactly my jam, but I feel like it is on-trend and will likely be a hit with other subscribers. The tea tree gel is also something I likely would have never bought, but I am sure the next time I get a monster zit I will be happy to have it indeed!
