Each box from GlobeIn contains a booklet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside. This little booklet is almost as valuable to me as the items inside the box because it gives background on each piece and often gives the names and shows photographs of the artisans who made them! I absolutely love knowing more about each item and the hands that crafted it.

Just a heads up, since there aren’t prices listed in the booklet for the items, I’m going off the prices given in this Globein spoilers post for items I couldn’t find online.

    • round domed bamboo food tent with sheer mesh sides

    • bamboo foot tent

Bamboo Food Tent, Vietnam – Listed Value $30.00

      Measurements: 9″ x 13″

Growing up, similar tents like these were plentiful at my family’s outdoor summer gatherings. Bugs+food was just unacceptable! I will admit that this tent is a little simpler than my Nana’s (hers are colorfully embroidered with flowers made of straw) but that suits me just fine! The generous size is perfect for covering taller dishes too!

Hot Drops Mild Four Chili, 4.2 fl oz, South Africa – Retail Value $13.00

I don’t do spicy. I did try these though, because the label said “mild.” One man’s ‘mild’ is another Megan’s ‘spicy’, and I did find that for me this had some kick! Though I don’t see myself using this, I can appreciate how decorative the silver coil is and I love the multicolored beads.

        • cheese knife with shiny silver blade

          1 of 2

        • white handled silver cheese knife

          2 of 2

Stainless Steel Spreader, India – Listed Value $10.00

Now we are talking! I am a cheese enthusiast and curating a perfect cheeseboard is one of life’s simple joys! I really like this heavy steel cheese knife and the clean white glazed handle. It is stylish enough to feel very special, yet minimal enough to work well with many boards and styles.

          • handwoven basket with colorful fabric covered handles

          • hand woven bread basket

Chindi Handle Bread Basket, India – Listed Value $20.00

            Measurements: 10″ x 7.5″ x 3.5″

Oooh, you know your girl loves a basket! This one is perfect for bread and rolls and the handles are covered with a beautiful multicolored fabric. This size would also be great for stashing toiletries in your guest bathroom or fresh veggies from the farmer’s market on the kitchen counter.

            • top view of the mezze plate with a center bowl and surrounding moat

              1 of 3

            • mezze plate with blue, pink, yellow, and white design

              2 of 3

Mezze Plate, Morocco – Listed Value $50.00

              Measurements: 10.5″ D x 1.5″

Our last item is so, SO pretty! I absolutely love this beautifully hand-painted mezze platter, with a design that is almost too pretty to bury under food. This would be perfect for chips and your famous homemade guac, veggies and dip, or cheeses and fruit! The color scheme here is pretty much perfect for my kitchen palette: a mix of soft blue, peachy pink, and lemon yellow!

bamboo food tent over decorative dish

              These fit perfectly together!

The Verdict: GlobeIn was awesome this month! I love how seasonally appropriate everything felt, and thought this curation was very well rounded and complete. I am pretty much swooning over that pretty mezze platter and if I had to pick a second favorite, I would have to give that distinction to the cheese knife. I am always thrilled to add a handmade basket to my collection, and the bamboo tent was also a genius inclusion. Though the hot sauce wasn’t for me, Will has already stolen it to use himself, so that is a win for me!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

              1. Iam very confused because I pay 260 dollars in June and I haven’t get anything and there stuff that I like and ask to pay more money can someone please give me and explanation thank

              2. So disappointed not going to receive this box since I chose it the day selections became available. I some how overlooked a email sent a week ago telling me I would be receiving a surprise box, which I would never have selected. If I had seen the email, would have diffently changed to a credit if I could not get the Sizzle theme. Have not had this happen with my last six selections, but noticed they made changes to their web site since I chose for July. Maybe some subscribers had their selections dropped during the website update of the account information? Will make sure to check my account selections repeatedly for now on.

              3. I just ordered and could have used the MSAWELCOME Code for $10 off or they had a GOTWINE code for two glasses. I selected GOTWINE and bought a 3-month subscription. However, I wish I had used MSAWELCOME because after I ordered, they offered two free glasses if you upgrade to a 6 month subscription. So just an FYI for those who might be ordering soon.

              4. Good review. This is the first of their boxes that I’m actually crazy about. Makes me sad that I can’t get it. I do not like surprise boxes and always wait for spoilers.

                • Did they tell you it was no longer available? I kinda wanted this one too but have been procrastinating. 🙁

                  • You can actually sub in now. When August 1st rolls around, they will give you the opportunity to pick your theme box which usually includes past boxes. I was not into this month’s box, so I picked another Delish theme box (iridescent Glasses). Also if you pick the current theme box, you can buy a past box for $45 during the Add On Sale – very limited quantities. Log on first thing on August 1st!

                • FYI – they often restock popular themes. It might take awhile, but be on the lookout and you might be able to get it as either a monthly theme choice or directly from their shop (at a higher price)!

              5. I think they stopped doing the essential box as an option and only have the one box now. 🙂

                • Eep! Right on Jane. Thanks for the reminder! I edited that part. <3

              6. I’m soooo looking forward to getting my box this month. And I totally agree about “mild” = “spicy” for many things. My friends make fun of me because I think pepper is hot! LOL.
