The Clean Beauty Box Review

The Clean Beauty Box delivers full-size, clean, conscious, and cruelty-free skin, hair, and body care every month. There is always a theme with a featured brand (or two) that follows strict guidelines to ensure you get the best in non-toxic beauty. I love this box because it doesn’t overload me with products and values quality over quantity.

moss Potentci Intensive Dermal Repair Hydrating Emulsion, 1 oz. – Retail Value $145.00

This hydrating emulsion is packed with antioxidants, superfood oils, and other ingredients that help repair skin’s elasticity and tone, and prevent water loss. It has a wonderful scent that is a little spicy but calming. It’s on the thinner side and has a milky appearance that creates a lovely sheen once applied to the skin. It’s suggested to use this after serums but before heavier creams or oils. I also like that they mention waiting 1-2 minutes before applying your next product to allow this ample time to soak in and do its work. My skin immediately feels way more hydrated as well as a lot softer and allover dewier and plump. It seems like a great marriage of a facial oil/serum and a moisturizer/cream. Big fan of this so far and am excited to use for an extended period of time to see how it keeps my face looking fresh.

AMBAR Micellar Cleansing Essence, 2 oz. – Retail Value $29.00

How amazing does this product look?! The box is so colorful and fun and the actual cleansing essence is a beautiful rose color. I am 100% into the “double cleanse” method, so this is perfect as a second go after my initial wash in the shower or sink.

When it’s been sitting a while, it will separate, leaving most of the color at the bottom, with the rest almost clear. When you’re about to use it, simply give it a good shake to mix everything back up before applying a small amount to a cotton pad. There’s something about the ritual of squeezing this onto a pad and wiping across my face that I really love and I can’t figure out why. Maybe it reminds me of being a kid and using cleansing pads? I miss my youth! After wiping this across my face and neck, I feel extra clean and prepped for makeup and am always shocked at some of the dirt my first cleansing somehow missed. It’s also suggested to use this to refresh your face in between sunscreen applications to prevent clogged pores which is a grand idea with summer around the corner!

Verdict: The Clean Beauty Box once again knocks it out of the park with two new-to-me products I never would have discovered otherwise. I love knowing that no matter how decadent these products feel, I know I’m only putting safe ingredients on my skin. I’m really into the cleansing essence to tackle the dirt I miss the first time with a gel or foam cleanser, and the hydrating emulsion smells divine and has so many benefits that it borders on absurd.

        1. I’m going to have to cancel this sub for now, only because I have way too many products to try/use right now. This will be my last box and it looks like a great one! Micellar water is something I can never have enough of, and this one sounds more unique than the ones I’ve tried. Great review as always, Marne!

          • Thanks, Dani! It’s really quite a lovely box this month. Glad you got it!

        2. Obsessed with Moss skin care! Moss got me to subscribe… so far loving Clean beauty box!!! Looking forward to the next box already! I sub to boxwalla & petit vour … I have a skin care Addiction!!! Thinking about subbing to beauty heroes too!

          • Try Pearlesque. It’s is a clean, organic skincare box that sends a different brand each month. My two favorite boxes are Boxwalla and Pearlesque.

          • Have you tried some other Moss products then? I’m intrigued…
You subscribe to some great boxes, JD!

        3. Do we really need another step in skin care between serum and moisturizer?

          • The Moss moisturizer isn’t an additional step – it is a perfect lightweight moisturizer. A heavier moisturizer or oil is only recommended as an additional step for those with very dry skin.

        4. So sad I missed this box… love the rave though. You got me half tempted to buy it if I can get it discounted. It was sold out Friday..

          • Looks like I can get this moisturizer at a 40% discount unless it is excluded direct from website at first purchase.

            • Oh wow- that’s an excellent deal! Let us know if you went for it!

          • Hi Tanya!
I heard that The Clean Beauty Box was going to get a handful of extra boxes, and that people would need to email them to ask to be put on the waitlist for when they get the boxes. I heard it’s very limited though, so there’s a chance they’re already taken, but it might not hurt to try! 🙂
