Quirky Crate May 2019 Review

Quirky Crate Subscription Review May 2019 - Info 1

Quirky Crate samples one item from a featured artist or brand each month; this month’s special find comes from These Are Things. This info card gives you a little background on the company as well as some social media tags for them.

On the flipside, Quirky Crate includes an itemized list of each product and its value.

Time to get quirky!!

Wander More Overnight Bag - Listed Value $32

This bright duffle is the perfect size for a short stay or on gym day. A nylon bag is a welcome switcharoo to the usual style they send out; it is just a little more practical for me, plus it is a great size. And it comes with a little flair! The bright blue and white pom poms add some sass, but the compass keychain, although a great nod to the box theme, isn’t actually functional.

So thrilled about this find! From the King of Rock to the King of Pop, Heartbreak Hotel has such a rich history in music, and this cute enamel hotel keychain design is going straight on my keychain!

Hey! Japan! Socks - Listed Value $8

Quirky Crate branded socks, how exciting! Each sock is different, yet the cute little designs all over coordinate; I think more socks should match, yet not match just like this.

This comfy pair is breathable and perfect to wear with a pair of slip-ons. They are also cute to show off with cropped jeans or shorts, and they fit my 7.5 feet to a T!

Let’s Go to the Mountains Enamel Pin - Retail Value $10

Take me there, please! Another great pin from Quirky Crate. This one gives me a Girl Scouts vibe, and of course, I love it. For a pretty sizable pin, this only has one pinback, but it seems to hold it up quite steadily. This one is going on my trusty Jansport I bought a few years ago and travel with regularly.

Quirky Crate Subscription Review May 2019 - These Are Things Patch Front Quirky Crate Subscription Review May 2019 - These Are Things Patch Back

These Are Things Patch - Listed Value $5

Bon Voyage! This vintage luggage patch is making me sad that we don’t have any travel plans yet this summer, but it won’t stop me from ironing this on to either a jean jacket or bag (or dreaming of getting away!). The small details on the bag and the leather straps really make this a fun piece, plus you can’t beat a simple iron on.

Quirky Crate Subscription Review May 2019 - Eco Friendly Bamboo Travel Toothbrush 1 Quirky Crate Subscription Review May 2019 - Eco Friendly Bamboo Travel Toothbrush 2

Eco-Friendly Bamboo Travel Toothbrush - Listed Value $12

I had no idea what to expect when I opened this case, and I was surprised to see those colorful bristles. I am very into sustainable, eco-friendly choices, especially with everyday items, but this toothbrush’s unfinished base is a little splintery, so I probably won’t be putting it into my mouth. I do love the perfectly smooth case, though. It has two holes top and bottom for water drainage, and it is a perfectly sleek essential for someone on the go.

Quirky Crate Subscription Review May 2019 - Pack It Notepad Front

Pack it Notepad - Listed Value $8

Stationary is my jam! I won’t tell you how many notes and reminders I have to write myself on the daily (it’s a lot!), but I am so happy to have any type of guidance - and this list really has it all. The details on this notepad are awesome; the four categories are clothes, hygiene, basics and everything else, and there is a box for everything from slippers to bug repellant. Whoever came up with this definitely gets a gold star!

The Verdict: Quirky Crate's travel-themed box came with some great travel flair and essentials. I will definitely be showing off my new duffle at the gym and hopefully, my other travel picks when we (fingers crossed!) finally get away some time this summer. The listed retail value of this box adds up to $90, over double the amount of the subscription cost of $34.99 + $6.50 shipping. I think it is worth every penny if you are a quirky girl needing some fun, colorful accessories!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? If you sign up for a subscription, you will receive the June box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.99 + $6.50 shipping, which means that each of the 7 items in the box has an average cost of $5.93.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Ugh. I always think quirky crate is so cute! I just wish more of it was stuff I would use regularly- that’s all that’s holding me back from subscribing.
