The Cost: Retail Value $50.00

From: The Sunday Riley Subscription Box

Why I love it: Who knew I'd be so obsessed with a hairbrush? This mint boar's hair bristle number is a game changer for my fine hair and has introduced me to a whole new world of hair care. Getting an item with a $50.00 value in this box is also just fantastic.

The Dapper Dog Box Review May 2019 - Exclusively Dog Tex Mex Treats 1 FtontyThe Dapper Dog Box Review May 2019 - Exclusively Dog Tex Mex Treats 3 Front

The Item: Exclusively Dog Tex Mex Treats, 7oz

The Cost: Retail Value $7.19 (Found here for $5.60)

From: The Dapper Dog

Why I love it: These square treats are perforated to create the perfect size snack for your doggo! I rip a few ahead of time as training treats on walks, and we are not even halfway through the bag. Exclusively Dog is also made in the USA, and are wheat, corn and soy-free, not to mention their potent aroma gets Murray's attention no matter where he is in the house! Big win for a picky pup!

Boxwalla Mother’s Day Face and Body Ritual Set - Mask 1

The Item: Malaya Organics Advanced Repair Mask – Neem Honey Herbal Complex

The Cost: $78.00

From: Boxwalla Mother’s Day Face and Body Ritual Set

Why I love it: Most of my acne is cystic hormonal acne, and as much as I love my skincare there aren’t a lot of products that can actually help it. This mask was incredibly soothing and nourishing to my sore, inflamed pimples, and it was created with cystic acne specifically in mind. I will be so sad that this is empty that I am now using it only as a spot treatment for acne, though every part of my face loves it.

Vet Pet Box Dog Review May 2019 - Tootiez Hedgehog by Outward Hound TopVet Pet Box Dog Review May 2019 - Nyx 3 Front

The item: Tootiez Hedgehog by Outward Hound

The Cost:  $9.99

ACTIVE DEAL: Save $15 off your first box!
CODE: VetPet15MSA

From: VetPet Box

Why I love it: I laughed a lot when Nyx was playing with this toy.  She growled and barked at it, which is something I've never seen before.  She was also obsessed with the sound it made. (Plus, it is durable -- she still has it, although she's broken the squeaker.)

The Item:  Bombash & Earley Botanical Skincare Co.- Mango Lip Scrub

The Cost: $10.00

From: Trendy Memo (This is sadly the last month of this subscription!)

Why I love it: This exfoliating mango lip scrub is grainy, and has a fruity scent. The scrub consists of sugar, coconut oil, flavor, and color. The scrub wasn’t to gritty, it gently exfoliated my lips. I use lip scrubs weekly and I love how my lips feel after each application.

Brandi's Favorite:

The Item: Pink Clover Denver Knot Front Top, Size L

The Cost: Retail Value $38

From: StitchFix

Why I love it: This mustard yellow color has become a new favorite for me and while this shirt is so basic and simple, that little knot detail gives it just enough flair for me to throw on and feel like I’m actually looking pretty stylish! It is lightweight, cute and has become a shirt I reach for often!

Winc Wine of the Month Review April 2019 - CAPE ROUTE FULL BOTTLE + GLASS

The Item: 2018 Cape Route Chenin Blanc

The Cost: $15 (or $13 through a subscription)

From: Winc Wine of the Month

Why I love it: After enjoying a red from Cape Route a few months ago, I was pleased to see this chenin blanc in my recommendations. It was very light, with clear tasting notes of apple, lemon, pear, and pineapple, as promised. The pear flavor came through most prominently for me, and it was lovely. Very spring apropos, and pretty sophisticated for $13!

Knitcrate Yarn May 2019 - SkeinKnitcrate Yarn May 2019 - Cowl Up Close

The Item: Knitology Cozy Sock by KnitCrate in color Citrus Squeeze

The Cost: $30.00

From: KnitCrate

Why I love it: I loved the opportunity to try a luxury yarn base such as this one, and the yarn is oh-so-soft. I thought the colors were so fun for the beginning of summer and went with the Farmer's Market theme of this box so well. Even though this yarn is brighter than my usual

MBotMC - June 2019 - McEwans Scotch Bottle and Glass

The Item: McEwan's Brewery Scotch Ale

The Cost: $4.16 for one bottle (based on the cost of box divided by number of bottles in box)

From: The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club

ACTIVE DEAL: $10 off a 4 shipment order
CODE: SAVE10

Why I love it: I very much enjoyed trying a real Scotch Ale from Scotland in this month's box! It was the highest ABV in the box for the month, but I liked this hearty, malty brew more for its mild but complex taste. I really enjoy trying new beers in this box, but I especially appreciated the opportunity to try a Scotch ale from presumably where the style originated! The flavor had notes of caramel and bread, but the carbonation kept it light and drinkable. Salut!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I got that HJ hairbrush in a long-ago box & really like it too.

Brandi, you look great in that top!

Becca, you’ve got real talent — I love the flowers!

I received a mini Harry Josh brush from Beautyfix and loved it at first. Then the green heads on all of the bristles fell off. There are none left. I wonder if the full size holds up better.

This one doesn’t have any of those little nubbins so perhaps it does last longer! Did you have the detangling brush maybe?

Lynn

I also loved it at first. Only brush that I ever “used up” I don’t know how else to say it. I even wore off the paint!?!

Virginia

I got a travel size of the Harry Josh brush and love it. My hair is thick and coarse so I guess it works for everyone.

Ragan I didn’t know you had a dog. What do the cats think about the dog OR what does the dog think about the cats????

Marne Orenich

Oh, good to know it works with your hair as well, Virginia!

Monkey and Angus both like the dog. Madison rarely comes downstairs (Nyx refuses to climb the stairs, so it works — she stays out of the litter box) and Sneaky is largely indifferent. I’ve had Nyx since she was 3 months old and only about 20 pounds (she’s 87 pounds now) and sometimes she acts just like she’s a big kitty.
